We've started using the service recently for walks and feedings when we're at work. The intake process with Kiira and online was very smooth. It was easy to schedule a "meet and greet" with Amy and Andrew, who are visiting our two dogs (a quiet 9-year old and a 5-year old with attitude; both sighthounds) about 3 times a week. Since then Amy and Andrew have taken care of our pups for the past month or so. They are both responsible and have the kind of calm personality that all dogs feel comfortable being around. They've followed all our instructions, provided very detailed updates and pictures, and taken good care of our doggies. So far I am very pleased with the service. We left our 2 cats in the care of Kat, who works for 'Pet and Home Care', for 5 days. We couldn't have been happier. Kat was reliable, efficient, and immediately struck up a trusting connection with our 'boys'. It was challenging work for her, because she had to administer an inhaler treatment twice a day to one of the cats, Marlow, despite not having known him before. She did an absolutely wonderful job. He was actually in better shape and coughing less, after we came home than before we left. Both cats looked happy and relaxed. The cat area was left clean and tidy. We have used this pet care company for quite a few years now for both of our cats. One is diabetic and one has seizure disorder and our sitter has taken care brilliant care of them, including all of their medications. I've used several (expensive) Doggy Hotels for my two fur babies (Havanese) but always walked away feeling a bit cheated. This company was referred to me years ago by a coworker and hasn't disappointed me, ever! I use them to sit my cats when I'm out of town. They also water outside plants on request (great during our hot summer months) and leave thoughtful notes about their visits. Once during a serious snow storm they visited earlier than scheduled, both for the safety of their employees and to get ahead of their many visits before the worst impacts. We had just moved and needed a new walker to take Chewie on his noon walks. We had called a few places, but none were as responsive and willing to work with us as much as Erica did. She came by and met with us and Chewie on a weekend, and came back the next day to get the key. No attitude, no complaints. Our schedules are constantly changing, and Erica was very understanding and worked with us when we told her last minute of the days that we needed or not needed her help with Chewie. Absolutely outstanding service! The registration and booking process is immediate! We have been using Pet & Home Care for 3 years and they are super with our 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs. Each P&H staff member is friendly, loving and always accommodating. We would highly recommend the 'meet before you book' service if you're a first time user or usually book cat kennels for your cats. This gives both you, staff member and your animal the opportunity to meet each other, tell them about your pets likes, dislikes and habits. And if you have children, it gives them peace of mind knowing who's looking after their pet. We were I Florida in June and heard about the flash floods in Gaithersburg at 7pm. At 6.45pm I went in my iPhone, logged in and used the drop down menu to book a visit for that same evening at 8.30pm to check our cats were indoors (as they go in and outdoors through a kitty door) and Tiffany had confirmed my booking within 5 minutes of me booking! While I have not used Pet and Home Care for one year I just realized I have not given this fine business the high review it deserves. For many years, my two dogs were walked every other week day. There were times I needed another walk on a given week due to my work schedule and H&PC was always able to accommodate me with advanced notice. There were also times I needed someone to stay overnight at my house to care for my two dogs and two cats. What a God-send H&PC is! Don't forget - H&PC also helps with watering plants, picking up the mail/newspapers and such when you are on vacation. The key is to plan ahead and give Tiffany advanced notice. Total nightmare using this company. We needed last minute sitter during the holidays and settled on them. Worst decision ever. Ruined our holiday as we were worried sick about our animals as the incompetent sitter kept calling us about one catastrophe after another, because she had screwed up by not following instructions. She took zero responsibility for her mistakes and actually blamed our low-maintenance, well-behaved pets that no other sitter has ever had problems with. Our video surveillance, which she was aware of, shows that she made no effort to give our pets any affection or play time, she didn't even do the minimal a person could possibly do in caring for animal, such as providing enough water. One of our pets was so traumatized by her carelessness, he hid under furniture for a week after our return. I am done with this company, but wanted to warn other pet parents. Don't trust the positive reviews. It's very suspect to see people from California are leaving reviews for the Maryland branch. Tiffany Reynolds, the owner works remotely out of California, not Maryland. She has offered false apologies as she cares about maintaining inflated Yelp reviews, yet was unapologetic and arrogant when we had contacted her privately. You may luck out and get a competent sitter sent to you, but do you really want to work with a company that makes excuses for employee's mistakes and takes their word for it over your evidence? We've found a new awesome sitter who charges double her rate, yet we gladly pay more, because our pets deserve the best, or at least competent, care! read more

I have been working with Erica for a few months at this point, and she has been a lifesaver! She is always on time to walk our Lucy, always leaves a note and sends me a text to let me know everything is ok! I had no issue handing my keys over to her and letting her come into my house everyday, she just gave off that warm and fuzzy. We have also used her services for a weekend when we were out of town for one night. Erica came over, walked Lucy fed her and played with her for a bit, which was super nice!
