Great down home service at a upscale restaurant....the staff felt like family. I'm in love with the champagne cocktail. The oysters 3 ways and the duck were really really good. My husband didn't love the shrimp and grits...spinach is in the center and the spring is on the small side..

Nice patio to sit on a nice evening. Staff is very friendly. The crab cakes for an appetizer were very good. They had a lot of crab in them and weren't overloaded with bread crumbs like some can tend to be. The Chancellor's salad was really good and the house made honey basil vinaigrette was really good and not too sweet. Lots of flavor and definitely big enough to share. My wife had the trout and said it was good. The ribeye I had was seasoned well. I ordered it medium rare and it came out cooked a little above medium. My only complaint is when the waiter asked about my steak and mentioned he thought it looked a little over cooked, nothing was really done about it. For dessert, my wife had the creme brûlée and said it was fantastic. If we were ever back in Oxford, we'd definitely eat here again.

We came for brunch on a Saturday and ordered three excellent dishes:…read more - Bacon Jam & Calabrian Chili Honey Pizza - Exceptional flavor, crispy, and well balanced - Mountain of Fries - While I'm partial to the thicker variety, these thin fries were top-notch. And it was truly a hulking mountain of fries! - Avocado toast - One of the best we've ever tried So we loved the food and the service was exceptional. And it was also very affordable - before tipping, we paid $61 for a three-person meal (3 entrées, only water). This is the best dining experience we've had in Mississippi so far. Highly recommended!

The food was good quality, well prepared and presented, with traditional flavor profiles. The…read moreservice was horrible (not the wait staff, the management/hostess process). I need to back up and say that our visit was a table for 7 on Spring graduation weekend. Since they do not take reservations, we got in line early for the table and were 3rd in line for the table that would seat our party. The problem came when the first in line decided that they wanted to push their reservation back over an hour, and they let them. Add to that everyone wanted to spend time celebrating so the table turn was not the usual. We were not seated until almost 10:00 PM that night (now you know). The wait staff did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The decor and setting is classy fine dining with dark wood and colorful accent lighting and decorations.
