My appointment was at 8:00am, and upon arrival I was told that the Dr I was supposed to see was running late. Once the Dr arrived, she took another patient to the back. I could hear the front desk staff discussing how the Dr took the wrong patient and should have called my name instead, thus resulting in me waiting until 8:40am to be called and taken back. The Dr did apologize for not seeing me on the schedule. However, This set back made me late for work, and I do not appreciate this. I received much better care at the Gilbert location. read more

I had high hopes but was disappointed. They didn't seem to care about me as an individual. The vibe I got was that they were tired employees who weren't excited about their job in the slightest. The therapists I worked with were dry and just didn't put any effort into interacting with me. They seemed bored with their work and I just felt like another number. I've been going to Chandler Physical Therapy for a couple months, and it's better than any other PT experience I've had before. I broke my tibia and fibula in 2018, and I was going to a different PT where I worked with a new person almost every time. My range of motion never got to where it should be, and I'm a trail runner, so this impacted my hip. After injuring my hip, a friend recommended Chandler PT, so I gave it a try! Chandler PT has been nothing but great. I have no pain in my hip, I'm running again, and they even explained to me why it was hurting to begin with. Now we are working to increase my range of motion so that I won't keep getting injured! In addition, I've always had bad neck/shoulder pain. I'm pretty active and do things like cliff jumping, backpacking, and more recently wakeboarding! All these things trigger an increase in that pain. I had kind of given up on getting any relief and resorted to keeping CBD oil and Aleve with me at all times, but then Eric introduced me to dry needling and an intern did some cupping and I feel like a new woman! This place is the best! I've had two major injuries and some minor problems in the past few years. I've been to three different physical therapy offices and this is the one that has solved all of them! Every single person who works here has treated me with respect and has demonstrated a commitment to figuring out what to do to return me to fully functioning. At one point I hadn't been able to walk unassisted for over two years due to lower leg and ankle injuries and a surgery, and now I'm fully able to do that. I also have had a number of back issues including a fractured vertebrae and age related disc deterioration. It's amazing the amount of pain relief and return to normal functioning I've achieved due to the treatment here. The approach here each session includes personalized manual therapy and manipulation (so much more in terms of time and effectiveness than other offices) and a personalized exercise program, with attention paid to comfort level, correct implementation, and increased improvement. They provide take home illustrations to support continuing at home progress. They are skilled in Graston and needling therapies and I've seen patients ranging from teens to their 90s, with a wide range of challenges in their office, and everyone has been receiving personalized attention. I unfortunately came to need Chandler PT's service's after a back injury at the gym. I had heard great things from their other clients and knew it was worth the drive from Gilbert to see them. They were able to schedule me very quickly and get me set up on a plan to get moving again. Have used CPT off and on since my hip replacement 5 years ago. They are great. Am using again now after knee replacement. Very accommodating with telehealth appointments. Going in person one day a week and telehealth one day per week. Everyone is wearing masks so they are taking health and precautions seriously. Going to Chandler Physical Therapy was a great decision. Dealt with lower back pain for 4.5 years before I decided to go get it fixed. Knowledgeable staff and upbeat personalities. After two sessions a week for about two months with decent progress, Jake zeroed in on the problem. Asked if I was a side sleeper, which I am. Told me to put a pillow in between my legs at night while I slept. Tried it out and felt instant results of improvement. Progressed to the point of being discharged. I have nothing but good things to say about Chandler Physical Therapy. I had a shoulder problem that eventually required surgery. At Chandler PT, I primarily worked with Jake but also saw Eric for a few sessions. They did a comprehensive initial examination to determine the problem and the best way to attack it. During the sessions, the exercises were explained so I always had an understanding of how they were benefitting me. Moreover, the sessions were adjusted based upon my progress. I knew that I was always moving towards an endpoint, rather than just going through a repetition of exercises. I also should mention that the office has a casual, fun atmosphere. I was hesitant on having to go to physical therapy after the car accident, but absolutely LOVE this place! I got very lucky that the other two places couldn't get me in quickly and that the other places didn't pick up the phone. Ashley (receptionist) answered the phone in a calm and friendly manner, and was able to get me in the next day. I ended up with Danny and even though I thought he was trying to kill me at times, he is awesome and amazing. With his treatment, I was all good in 5 weeks (not normal) and my neck and back have never felt better. I highly recommend anyone to has to go through PT come here. This is a great place to get better. I worked with Danny. On your first visit he perform a complete body evaluatation. I had neck strength issues I wasnt paying attention to and actually came in for knee problem. I am so impressed with the care that I received I have decided to come in every 6 months just to do an overall check up on how everything is going. I think we often don't notice our own physical changes or dysfunctions in our body so it's probably a good idea to have them check by a PT. This is a young staff all of them very professional. Your not going to hear an hour of personal chit- chat or see them watching TV they are very focused on their patients. I have seen Eric the owner work with his patients he has a kind, gentle approach everyone professional. They took care of all the insurance verification and even when I needed to get a electro stimulating machine they had the sales rep coming to meet at CPT. Now that's awesome and time efficient! I had rotator cuff surgery in December and was visiting in Chandler for the Christmas holidays plus some extra time. After reading reviews online, I tried Chandler Physical Therapy. I am glad I did! They were all very professional, and courteous, from the front desk to each of the therapists. The space is clean, well lite, and not crowded. I had a thorough initial exam, and then had seven additional sessions before returning to CT. Each session was helpful and I was given detailed instructions on how best to do the exercises. I was always asked how each exercise felt when I completed it. During each session, I was started on time and kept busy without waiting in between exercises. I made solid progress with my range of motion and my strength. I highly recommend them! read more

I was unable to perform exercises using my upper body due to recurring shoulder pain. Jen helped me strengthen the problem muscle groups and identify the activities that were causing the pain. Poor form was identified in many of my routine exercises and I learned how to do them correctly. Using techniques learned at CPT I've successfully returned to the gym with a much better understanding of my body and what must be done to avoid re-injury in the future. Although dealing with injury is inherently frustrating, the extremely positive, upbeat culture at CPT made the journey not only pleasant, but was actually something I looked forward to during the week. I was impressed when I went to make my initial appointment and found that they were very courteous and professional on the phone but in addition to it set up an email which included their app that not only has things like your schedule but also has the exercises to do in a video format. I was hesitant about the value of Physical Therapy (even with a step daughter that just graduated as a PT) but after a recent fall down the stairs I was left with a very sore left bicep and shoulder. I couldn't lift a milk jug or even sleep on my left side. My doctor recommended PT. I picked Chandler PT based on their reviews. And I am glad I did! Ashley is fantastic! She used a variety of techniques on my arm, and combined with the assigned exercises has returned me to a fully functioning state! Jenna is also very helpful in walking you through your exercises. Chandler PT have friendly great people but I don't recommend this physical therapy. I had a shoulder surgery and came to Chandler Physical Therapy with my ortho's referral form and plan for my physical therapy and the therapist at Chandler PT just toss it a side and never even bother to read it. After almost two months coming here, I noticed they were just babysitting my condition and not really moving me along. When I went to see my ortho for my follow up, he was concern that I was not going to be were I needed to be. I went back to Chandler PT and asked for my therapist Jason to sit with me and show me my progress and where I should be in a month for now. Basically he told me I need about three more months and that my ortho's plan was too rigid. Although my therapist Jason is a great person, at times it felt like he was just going through the motion in my treatment but not really present and easily distracted . I knew I needed to go somewhere else so I went to 360 Physical Therapy and I was impressed with their evaluation of my condition and they did a thorough job than Chandler PT. 360 went over in detail with me where I'm supposed to be by now according to my ortho's plan and I was a little behind. They noticed I didn't have the mobility I needed to have by now and they assigned me different home exercises that are more challenging than the ones Chandler PT gave me to do, but these really pushes me to gain my mobility back. If you really want to progress in your physical therapy, I don't recommend Chandler PT because they just going to babysit you so you can stay there longer than what you need to. Unfortunately, I have had quite a few sports related injuries over the years that required surgery and physical therapy to fully recover. While I had good therapists, the clinics I visited were large and crowded and I often found myself spending over two hours waiting around to get 50 minutes of treatment. Anyone that has been to a large clinic can relate to how frustrating it is to stand around waiting to do your exercises. I often thought, why am I paying for this, I can do this at home. The point of telling you this is Chandler Physical Therapy is just the opposite. My appointment always starts on time and the office environment ensures that you are always getting the attention need and deserve. Even after the therapists have worked with you they are able to see every exercise you are doing and provide feedback. Both PT assistants are also great and they are never more than a few feet away; so you won't spend your time waiting to see what exercise to do next or do something wrong and further injure yourself. The owner Eric makes sure the clinic is fun, yet professional... so it is a great atmosphere. Everyone there will know your name an make you feel welcome. As for results, I went in for a lower back issue (I could not sit for more than a few minutes without pain) and managed to resolve a old running injury at the same time. After one treatment that included dry needling, my back felt better than that it had in weeks. While I was getting treatment on my back I mentioned to Danny (one of the PTs) that I had a bad hamstring I spent several years rehabbing but it never got better, which took a major toll on my running. I had tried everything including standard PT, ASTYM, ART, and visits to multiple ortho docs (they just said stop running) and nothing worked. Danny offered to dry needle my hamstring and he very next day it was 80% better than it had been in two years. Long story short I am back running and already setting new PRs, even though I am getting older. I have worked with Eric and Danny and they are both great. I have also recommended them to a friend who had a nagging injury and he thanks me regularly for the referral as he is also back running at full strength after working with Danny. I originally thought physical therapy was only for those who needed to learn to walk again. When my doctor gave me two options, one being monthly pain medicine for the rest of my life, or two- physical therapy, I found this place. The people are friendly, which I believe to be almost as important as being qualified in their practice as therapists. You are required to do various workouts and stretches that can be slightly awkward, and if in a different atmosphere, I don't think I would have done it. And I needed to. The time I spent had helped me strengthen and genuinely feel stronger and better. I recommend this place to anyone not only needing to learn to walk again, but for almost anything that someone might say take a pain pill for. Try physical therapy first. read more

Eric was my therapist. He was knowledgeable, through, and informative. He explained everything - why I had to perform certain exercises, what the expected and possible outcomes were, and progress and changes along the way. Unfortunately for me, the end result was not good. But that was not because of Eric. In fact, the bad outcome I suffered was a possible outcome discussed by Eric. After having a baby, I had severe back and hip issues that sent me to the ER and kept me immobile for three months. I met with three PTs (including one who aggravated my pain so much that it sent me to the ER), two pain specialists, two chiropractors and even an orthopedic specialist who all sent me packing after thoughtfully scratching heads. Eric Christensen was the only one who took a big picture approach, tested my body's overall mechanics and worked out a diagnosis and solution for my not-in-the-textbook problem. He spends time tweaking and testing every visit and doesn't mindlessly run through an exercise playbook. I don't spend half my 75 min appointment time lying down getting STEM massages or ice packs, it is all manipulation or exercise. After almost a year, I'm stronger, healthy and pain free. He also helped my husband get back to full physical activity after surgery for a lumbar herniated disc. I believe this chap can solve every musculoskeletal problem there is to be had. I came to Chandler PT with degenerative discs in lower back, causing pinched sciatica, significant hip pain due to bursitis and leg pain. I was taking multiple medicationsdaily, pain meds, anti-inflammatories, joint supplements to reduce significant discomfort and pain. I did very little physically always worried I would make it worse.Eric was recommended to me, he did a full analysis prior to starting therapy. He consistently progressed therapy but was always aware and monitoring to ensure I did exercises properly and didn't cause strain or injury. After 2 to 3 sessions weekly over a few months, I have lost weight, Im pain-free if I maintain daily stretching and foam rolling ( love my foam roller! ;) and am off every medication I was taking. Eric was a lifesaver gave me an easy realistic path to maintain physical health. The entire team is so friendly and welcoming I looked forward to every session and feel like I have BFFs! .
