Carling Physical therapy's treatment process is different from all of our other experiences and is by far the best for us. My husband had a fall a little more than a month ago. He was not able to raise his arms and shoulders to perform the smallest daily task such as picking up his glass to drink water, and he was in pain constantly. Now, he is free to move his arms and shoulders without discomfort. He still has a little way to go but the improvement was stunning. And that is without having to take any medication because Steve, the owner, doesn't encourage his patients to take pain pills. Also, he and his team focus on hands-on therapy. Each patient receives a needed massage in every session. According to my husband, massage works miracles for him. Also, they work very hard to accommodate our insurance program benefits. My employer explained that if the physical therapist is willing to fill out paperwork explaining that I need to miss a few hours of work a week to leave early and attend therapy they could clear me to end my shift early to go. Spooner stated they are NOT willing to do this. This gives me the impression that are willing to take your insurance and money but not willing to explain why you need help from pain or an injury.

I've been to MANY chiropractors over the years for my back and neck pain, and he is by far the best. It is definitely a full service office. Check in is easy and you list all your symptoms using an iPad app built for chiros. It's very simple. When I go in for my adjustments, I am initially treated to a TENS session (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) along with a heating pad for about 15 minutes. This is usually the best part of my day! Then he takes the time to rub my back and loosen up my muscles even more and applies some pain relieving cream (like Bengay but better) all over. Then comes the adjustment. Due to my Myofascial Pain Syndrome, I generally have really tight muscles and a lot of chiros have not been successful at adjusting every area that needs it. However, Dr. Bates gets everything about 99% of the time, which I love. They also have in office massage therapists which are good. I have had one massage and it was ok. I've had better and worse. I'm spoiled in this regard as I have a friend who does it and I get 3 hours massages on a regular basis, so I don't really go here for this. However, it's nice to know it's available when my friend isn't, and for the price, you can't beat it. I want to say it's an extra $35 if you get an adjustment for an hour, so definitely worth it.
