I've gone to DOZENS of PT establishments, since I was an athlete in Grade school through College, up til now as an adult in my early 50's (w ACL issues/neuropathy/ PF & Chronic back pain.) This is one of the BEST places I have EVER been to! Guy & Heather (who put my Therapists) are amazing!! All of the Techs are very kind and extremely knowledgeable! I live in West Mesa and drive to San Tan bc my Podiatrist said they would be worth the drive, and let me tell you- they absolutely are!! I'm so impressed that I am beginning to take my 76 year old Mom to see them for balance issues bc of hearing loss. Yes! They do that, as well! You will be in great hands with Welch! They truly care about their patients, everything they do "makes sense" (which hasn't always been the case at other establishments ) . They have definitely helped me begin to get better! I had high hopes in the beginning, but that faded fast. After a few visits their level of attention dropped and it nearly became self service. After signing in and having your temperature taken, it was someone pointing to a piece of equipment and walking away. The only personalized attention was from Heather during the cool down and articulation of the injured limb. My therapy at Welch ended when the owner whom had never worked with me during any of my visits walked up to while on the pulley rope system used to stretch the muscles on the rotator cuff / bicep that I had recently had surgery on, he pushed the chair that I was seated in away from the wall and aggressively yanked the rope and my arm beyond its current limits causing severe pain, torn scar tissue, and setting my recovery back at least a month. This was our first visit to this facility after my husband broke his hip 6 weeks ago. He is still walking with a walker and I walk with a cane. The front office staff sat and watched as we did our best to get in the front door (without helping us). Not a good first impression. I talked with the therapist after my husband's session and he seemed to be more interested in getting me to do a review on Yelp or Google rather than talking to me about my husband's therapy and exercises (seemed to be in a big hurry). I called back to set up appointments for the next week within an hour of being seen there and was put on hold twice and disconnected X1. We are both senior citizens and this facility does not seem to be very welcoming to seniors. I hope my husband's sessions are better next week and we just caught them at a bad time. read more

Highly recommend my physical therapist Brandon. I suffered with a broken shoulder and no mobility after coming out of my sling. He pushed me hard at the beginning but backed off when I said it was too much. Newly renovated facility. I've had a great experience at Welch PT! The office staff and technicians are up-beat and courteous. Claudia was especially helpful with my insurance claim. I was worked on by a Physical Therapist 3 times in my 11 visits, but that was fine. The exercises and treatments I received really helped, plus I was taught to do many of them (the exercises) at home. In the future I will not schedule any appointments on a Friday at the end of the day. My last 2 treatments were reduced by a few minutes. I couldn't help but feel like treatments were shortened so the techs could start their weekend. read more

I had a fairly invasive knee surgery and have been to PT before at other places. I have been a competitive athlete for most of my life. I always felt the PT I got was a waste of time after the first few visits and felt I could do just as well or better on my own. However I was extremely surprised by the expertise with James at Welsh PT. With this surgery my knee pain was overshadowed by excruciating back spasms from wearing a heavy brace and using crutches. James not only addressed the knee but knew how to fix the long underlying issues with my back so that I was free to focus on my knee rehab and not be encumbered by the debilitation in my back. This experience has actually helped to improve my overall quality of life. If you have issues with one part of your body it most often will affect other parts too. James and the team will treat the entire body to help your recovery speed along. I'm shocked and amazed at my recovery. I won't go anywhere else! I am at the mid point of my PT at Welch Physical Therapy for a sciatica issue. I have never been to PT before, this has been an amazing experience. Before I came in the first visit I could barely walk. Everyone is knowledgeable, helpful, and doing what it takes to get me back on track. I was told I needed physical therapy for a shoulder injury. Welch Physical Therapy was who they recommended, which was perfect because it's really close to my house. They were able to get me in pretty quickly. Guy Welch was the first person I met, and he is fantastic. He's honest, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. Every other employee I've gotten to work with has been just as great; from the front desk, to finances, to all the PT's and their assistants. What's even better, is they all love animals! The physical therapy part; there is no consistency....one person brings me back and gets me started, then I stand there and wait after completing an exercise until someone else let's me know what to do. I literally had four different people tell me what to do and each person does things a little different. Went to Welch PT for abt 4-6 weeks for a shoulder muscle spasm. Guy and his team were amazing. Everyone in there was super helpful, very courteous and got me back to where I was before my injury in no time. I actually had a fun time every time i went in. Everybody was fun and easy to talk to. The ladies at the front are super nice and it was so easy getting appointments when I needed them. Lot of flexibility with the scheduling. Place was clean, spacious, had tons of equipment and whatever was needed for the rehab. Other than them getting me back to my pre injury state, one of their great attributes is that the staff is always in a happy mood with a great attitude! I love this office. Welch Physical Therapy employees are knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and most importantly very friendly and ready to help. All of the PT's and assistants are great with clients and have created a comfortable and healing atmosphere.
