That level of attentiveness makes shopping here feel personal and seamless. Parking downtown can be a bit of a pain, so I highly recommend using your Nordstrom rewards on valet. This might be my favorite Chanel store, and I have been to many, including London, Chicago, and multiple in NYC. That's largely due to Ryan, who was so friendly and helpful and just absolutely amazing. Unlike a lot of Chanel stores, here I felt like someone was able to help me right away every time I dropped by even without an appointment (eg Ryan) and was super patient with me without rushing me. I also thought the selection was great - they had lots of bags I hadn't seen at other boutiques as well as belts and jewelry. I'll note the beauty section on the same floor (first) and the shoe selection upstairs on the second floor were also fabulous and had much more in terms of options than I typically see. Located inside the flagship Nordstrom store in downtown Seattle, the shop is broken into 2 spaces - purses, accessories, and small leather goods are on the ground level floor and ready to wear is on an upper floor of the store. It looks like you could make an appointment as there was a separate line for appointments and there was a walk-in. Because it wasn't busy when I went in, I walked in and was assigned an SA who was available. She was pleasant and allowed me to browse on my own for the most part. The purses and accessories were a little scarce, but at the time, they were in between collections and it's likely they were going to be restocking in the next couple of weeks after I left. Clothing was a little better stocked when I went upstairs. I did look at a pair of tuxedo trousers and they were beautifully made. I did end up walking away to think about it since they were very pricey. But the staff upstairs were very friendly and helpful. In terms of parking, you will want to find a lot as it is a challenge to find street parking. I found a lot a block up from Nordstrom's and we walked to the store. read more

I'm basing this review on an incident that happened to a friend which I witnessed personally. Details of the incident are attached to the photo included with this review. To cut a long story short, her siblings bought her a Chanel metallic bag for her 40th. All transactions happened over the phone as they live overseas. After wearing the bag for 1 hour, my friend Ghada noticed that the edges were chipped so she visited Nordstrom Seattle and they refused to exchange the item, refund it or even try to fix it! I was actually present with Ghada when she visited Nordstrom Seattle for the second time and witnessed how unprofessional and offensive the store manager was! Imagine a store manager telling a customer "You are not disclosing what really happened" !!!! And when I tried to reiterate her sentiments because Nordstrom was becoming extremely defensive the manager literally tells me that she is talking to Ghada and I should stay out if it...twice! Maybe if I wasn't veiled she would act differently. I wonder if any other veiled women/minorities faced this! After this horrible incident, we headed to Neiman Marcus and had such a different customer experience...we wanted to understand what their process would be like. Chanel @ Neiman Marcus told us the following regarding their store: 1) All goods purchased at their store have a 1 year guarantee to be fixed for free. Items will not be fixed after 5 years from purchase date 2) In case of any damage, the item is sent to Chanel to assess whether or not it can be fixed and how much the cost is (if any) because, and I'm quoting Neiman Marcus here, "they are not the leather experts". They don't describe items over the phone or send pictures of the product. The actual item needs to be inspected thoroughly and this process takes about 6 weeks. 3) Even though the item was not bought from their store and there were other customers to serve at the time we arrived, the sale representative took the time to explain everything to us and was very warm and welcoming. Now, on he other hand, what Nordstrom has to offer.. 1) No warranty 2) No clear process for handling damages. They apparently DESCRIBED what had happened to Chanel within 20 minutes and claim that Chanel said the item is not fixable. 3) Extremely offensive and unhelpful staff Before you make a hefty investment, I would do my research thoroughly...not just about the product but about what warranties/post sale services have to offer. I'm taking my future business to Neiman Marcus and no longer wish to deal with Nordstrom. How rude and unprofessional to say the least! read more

I took my mom here to look at handbags. They had a variety of the classics as well as current limited edition seasonal styles. Frandi was the one assisting us that day and did an amazing job at answering all of our questions and was very knowledgeable about each handbag and the current line being offered. She was patient and kind. She was honest in giving feedback about each bag and wasn't pushy in sales. The store is bright and clean. I wish you could see all the items they have on hand however display space is limited so having an associate who is attentive and listening to what you want is helpful so that they can pull inventory that isn't displayed. I had a terrible experience at the Chanel in Vancouver (Holt Renfrew). I purchased a Chanel bag there, and they somehow ran out of boxes. Instead of making it right, they wanted me to contact Chanel stores to get a box to protect my outrageously priced bag. With the amount I spent, I expect them to provide a high level of service and find me a box or ship it to me when it finally does come in. Instead, the sales associate wrote a note on my receipt and told me to go to a Chanel store and show them that. Seriously? I've been to quite a few Chanel boutiques and I must say that customer service here went above and beyond my expectations. This Chanel boutique is located on the first floor of Nordstrom alongside other luxury brands such as Celine, Gucci and Fendi just to name a few. Let me preface this review by saying that I went in on a Friday early evening accompanied by my husband and our 2 kids (almost 2 year old daughter and 2.5 month old son). Chanel isn't exactly a kid-friendly place but I really wanted to see their jewelry and the Boy Bags they had in-stock. We had baby boy in the stroller and he was asleep (thank goodness) but our daughter was nowhere near tired. She started off calm and followed me around as I checked the display cases one by one. Soon enough she got comfortable and ran around but the sales associate who was helping me didn't even flinch. In fact, he and his colleague were all smiles and even tried talking to my daughter. I was thoroughly impressed with their patience and understanding. Marc (or Mark?) was the one who helped me. He answered all of my questions with a positive attitude and a very friendly demeanor. He also pulled out some beautiful Boy Bags for me to try as I was unsure of the size I wanted. I had specific leathers and colors in mind but they had none in-stock. He did, however, look up next season's release to provide me with what's upcoming in their boutique. I left my name and number and he promised to send me detailed pics of a particular style I am interested in. I was back and forth on a particular pearl necklace as I was truly hoping for a new pair of gold earrings. In the end, I got the necklace and Marc also suggested that he could activate my Triple Points Day (if I wanted to use my Nordstrom card) so, of course, I said yes. Outstanding experience from the moment we walked in to Chanel to the moment we got back to the hotel to admire my new Chanel piece. If I am ever back in Seattle I will certainly return to this boutique. I must say that they had quite an inventory of handbags - classics and exotics. I went to the store early this week, it was almost closing time. I spoke with a salewoman, Stephanie who showed me a few bags which weren't what I was looking for. At the end, she gave me a business card. I did texted her later that night and had a quick response which I appreciate. Next day, my husband checked a few stores like Neiman Marcus & other Chanel store and found a few available bags there. But it was easier for us to get it here in Seattle. So I texted her the photos that staff at the other stores sent to us to see if they were available here. I got a very shocking response. She accused the photos were taken at her boutique by someone worked at her store. She "defer" that person to be out of the profession. And she insisted that she showed me one of the bags here when we met which wasn't true. I took a couple photos of the bags that she showed me, none of them was the one that I texted her. I was in shocked. Do I have rights as a customer to shop around? And I thought that I was trying to do some business with her here. It really bothered me. I think it is outrageous to get this type of customer service. I got my bag at elsewhere and was very happy with their service although I had to drive 3-4 hours to shop.
