When deciding on what island to experience I specifically picked Honolulu and the Waikiki area because I wanted to go to this Chanel store. I had heard through bloggers that you save a bit on tax when shopping here than Mainland USA. I've always heard they are rude. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton which is around the corner from Chanel. I could see the back of the store from my hotel balcony. We decided to go in the first day we arrived. I was very anxious and hoping they had the bag I wanted. My husband and I walked in and not one person even said hello to us. I've been to many different high fashion stores to shop and they usually greet you or are at least friendly. Not here. We wandered around a bit until an older lady asked if we needed help. I stated yes, she then goes to the front to a younger women and asked her to assist us. After that we were given a few options but I was there for a specific bag. Luckily they had it! I was so excited. While waiting for her to pack it we were offered water which was a bit off putting. I've spent 10k in Givenchy on 5th ave and received rounds of champagne, does Chanel not do that? All in all nice experience very happy to have my bag.

Shout out to Ray my SA for helping me find my dream bags.

I've been to multiple Chanel boutiques all over the world and honestly I don't think I've seen an inventory as vast as the one in Waikiki which I was very surprised about. Our sales associate Ray was very helpful. I've been searching for these two bags I've been wanting for years and was over the moon when he told me they carried them. Definitely my favorite boutique.

Picked out a card case with Yuko. She was very helpful and welcoming! This store staff was very nice and attentive. Would recommend this location, they had a lot of styles and options for the smaller items.

I was incredibly nervous coming to this location due to the trashy reviews but I came in 6 minutes shy of closing and actually received great customer service. Siulo was very honest and thorough with helping me select a bag. She explained how the chain length in the Chanel 19 bag is not adjustable so for people standing at 5 feet 1 inch it'll be too long. I'm so glad she told me this because at the Ala Moana location I was not told this. Siulo made my first experience in purchasing a Chanel flawless and I would definitely be back due to her! Thank you so much. I bought this for my sister but I really want one for myself now so torn!!

    Cheers!

Loved shopping here! They had a better selection than what I'm used to in Cali. Great customer service! They gave my kids Hawaiian cookies that kept them busy so mommy can shop!!

I was soooo excited for my trip to Honolulu bc my wonderful SA (Ikuyo) found one of my dream bags for me! She was able to secure the bag for me in advance and we set up a time to meet to pick up the bag when I arrived to the island. She was so kind and informative. She packaged the bag so securely that I felt bad unboxing it! The packaging was actually even better than the packaging I received while I was in France! My experience in the store was honestly great. It was really quiet in the store which I appreciated (it's nice to have some space with covid and everything). They have a great system where they directed us into a waiting room for our SA. Once my SA was available, she walked me and my husband to the back to view my bag privately. She even saved another item that she thought I would like in addition to the bag! Unfortunately, I had something very similar to it already so I had to kindly decline. I felt absolutely no pressure to have to purchase anything. Highly recommend coming here if you're in town and love Chanel!

Chanel Waikiki is great too! I've worked with Eunice and Ray and both are nice and helpful sales associates. Can't go wrong with Chanel but this location has a smaller collection in my opinion, than Ala Moana! Mahalo!

My mom and I stopped in because she was looking for earrings. She had mentioned before that Pink Box has cute selections at reasonable prices, so we decided to browse. While she was looking at earrings and pointing out styles she liked, I was helping her look through them. For context, I don't even wear earrings since I have large gauges, so I wasn't shopping for myself in that section. Afterward, I moved over to the claw clips and was looking through some butterfly clips to see if they came in matching colors. A sales associate approached us and asked if we needed help. We politely said no thank you and continued browsing. What made us uncomfortable was that after that interaction, the employee remained very close to us and appeared to be watching us the entire time. When we moved to a different area, she followed. Whether intentional or not, it felt as though we were being monitored because she suspected we might steal something. My mom and I both noticed it, and it made the shopping experience uncomfortable. We are paying customers who have visited this store before and have never given anyone a reason to be suspicious of us. I understand that retail employees have a job to do, but there is a difference between being attentive and making customers feel like they're under surveillance. Unfortunately, because of that experience, we didn't feel welcome during our visit.

The whole store is made up of Hawaiian themed merchandise. There were jewelry, cards, body care items and tons of clothes. They have some really cute items. I went in and out of the dressing rooms a few times while trying on outfits, and none of them had a basket or spot for purses. Each time I had to hang my handbag on a hanger with the clothes, since I refuse to put my handbag on the dirty ground. Finally, the very last dressing room I tried did have a basket at the bottom, which was much better. The clothing and jewelry are adorable -- some even look handmade -- and I did buy a few outfits and a cute pair of earrings. Prices are on the higher side, but the pieces are unique and eye-catching, so if you're looking for something different, it might be worth it. Unfortunately, checkout brought the experience down. Since I didn't need a bag, the sales associate handed me my clothes directly, but forgot my earrings. I didn't notice until I was halfway home. I tried looking everywhere for a phone number -- Yelp, the Ala Moana directory, the internet -- and couldn't find one. The only number I found just rang with no answer. So instead of calling, I had no choice but to drive all the way back through traffic. When I arrived, the sales associate saw me, handed me the earring, and said she was "going to text me." No apology, no "sorry for the inconvenience" -- nothing. Considering they have my number from the rewards program sign-up, that was disappointing. Overall, Sugar Sugar is a cute boutique with stylish pieces, but expect boutique pricing and limited dressing room amenities. The service could use improvement, especially when mistakes happen.

Shopping in Chinatown, Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. My mom was on the hunt for Year of the Dragon shirts for my sister in Colorado, my nephew, and my nieces. We went to Walmart, Don Quijote, Dillingham Shirt Outlet, and Maunakea Street in Chinatown. She found shirts at Jessica's Jewelryand Gifts, but she didn't get a shirt for my nephew's girlfriend. In a panic, mom called me to go back to Jessica's. They were sold out. Only XL gray shirts were left. I entered Maunakea Marketplace, where I had dropped her off the other day, but she didn't walk far enough in... to get to YaFangShi Fashion. On the day before Lunar New Year, I saw many shirts of various colors and different designs hanging outside a shop! Inside, the clothes were neatly folded, and the dresses were hanging for better viewing. OMG... It was like t-shirt heaven! The shop was called YaFangShi Fashion. The friendly owner introduced herself and said that her name was Lian and that she's been here for 24 years! I had passed by often... and even bought a lavender-colored Cony umbrella, but didn't know the name of the shop. Looking around, Lian even had dresses, tops, jackets, footwear, accessories, and pants! I got a navy blue, medium-sized Year of the Dragon shirt for my nephew's girlfriend and gave it to mom to give to her on Lunar New Year. Everyone was happy! Yay! Happy Lunar New Year of the Wood Dragon!
