Chanel purchases from Ala Moana after being treated rudely at Waikiki
    Allison L.

I was repeatedly lied to by a sales associate here. Not only did he not know what he was talking about, he also was blatantly speaking down to us!! First after we asked about whether there was a Hawaii discount (there isn't), he went on to claim there were NEVER sales at Chanel. This is completely untrue and I told him so. Then he claimed those sales were for shoes only, which I told him was also untrue as they include apparel. Trying to mansplain Chanel to me is frankly insane. We also asked about buying a specific purse, and without even checking the inventory he claimed they had none, as they sell out promptly. We mentioned Ala Moana had one days ago and he seemed surprised, and made no offer to help us check inventory there or order it from there. We later went to Ala Moana, and they had FOUR. We wondered whether he even told the truth about not having it, or just didn't bother checking. Then, he saw my Chanel ring and asked where I got it. When I answered I bought it vintage/secondhand, he looked down on me!! Then he tried again to mansplain, saying that white gold degrades over time and yellows if you keep polishing it. Sir, I did not ask!!! And I explained that for that reason white gold owners know to rhodium plate their pieces as routine care to keep it white, and we promptly left after we were done being treated like vermin. We literally drove to the Chanel at Ala Moana to buy a pair of sunglasses and the purse we wanted the same day because we did not want to give this man our business

When deciding on what island to experience I specifically picked Honolulu and the Waikiki area because I wanted to go to this Chanel store. I had heard through bloggers that you save a bit on tax when shopping here than Mainland USA. I've always heard they are rude. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton which is around the corner from Chanel. I could see the back of the store from my hotel balcony. We decided to go in the first day we arrived. I was very anxious and hoping they had the bag I wanted. My husband and I walked in and not one person even said hello to us. I've been to many different high fashion stores to shop and they usually greet you or are at least friendly. Not here. We wandered around a bit until an older lady asked if we needed help. I stated yes, she then goes to the front to a younger women and asked her to assist us. After that we were given a few options but I was there for a specific bag. Luckily they had it! I was so excited. While waiting for her to pack it we were offered water which was a bit off putting. I've spent 10k in Givenchy on 5th ave and received rounds of champagne, does Chanel not do that? All in all nice experience very happy to have my bag.

Shout out to Ray my SA for helping me find my dream bags.

I've been to multiple Chanel boutiques all over the world and honestly I don't think I've seen an inventory as vast as the one in Waikiki which I was very surprised about. Our sales associate Ray was very helpful. I've been searching for these two bags I've been wanting for years and was over the moon when he told me they carried them. Definitely my favorite boutique.

Picked out a card case with Yuko. She was very helpful and welcoming! This store staff was very nice and attentive. Would recommend this location, they had a lot of styles and options for the smaller items.

I was incredibly nervous coming to this location due to the trashy reviews but I came in 6 minutes shy of closing and actually received great customer service. Siulo was very honest and thorough with helping me select a bag. She explained how the chain length in the Chanel 19 bag is not adjustable so for people standing at 5 feet 1 inch it'll be too long. I'm so glad she told me this because at the Ala Moana location I was not told this. Siulo made my first experience in purchasing a Chanel flawless and I would definitely be back due to her! Thank you so much. I bought this for my sister but I really want one for myself now so torn!!

    Cheers!

Loved shopping here! They had a better selection than what I'm used to in Cali. Great customer service! They gave my kids Hawaiian cookies that kept them busy so mommy can shop!!

Chanel Waikiki is great too! I've worked with Eunice and Ray and both are nice and helpful sales associates. Can't go wrong with Chanel but this location has a smaller collection in my opinion, than Ala Moana! Mahalo!

I was soooo excited for my trip to Honolulu bc my wonderful SA (Ikuyo) found one of my dream bags for me! She was able to secure the bag for me in advance and we set up a time to meet to pick up the bag when I arrived to the island. She was so kind and informative. She packaged the bag so securely that I felt bad unboxing it! The packaging was actually even better than the packaging I received while I was in France! My experience in the store was honestly great. It was really quiet in the store which I appreciated (it's nice to have some space with covid and everything). They have a great system where they directed us into a waiting room for our SA. Once my SA was available, she walked me and my husband to the back to view my bag privately. She even saved another item that she thought I would like in addition to the bag! Unfortunately, I had something very similar to it already so I had to kindly decline. I felt absolutely no pressure to have to purchase anything. Highly recommend coming here if you're in town and love Chanel!

Is now the biggest support for our soles as I remember shopping here for my shoes when I was very little was very surprise to see that they have survived all the big shops filled with styles that many crave for though I must admit that I haven't been there in decades until having feet problems and my podiatrist suggested picking up some support for my sad and aching feet. Located on the ground floor of University Plaza which is right behind Raising Cane's on South King Street and the entrance is easiest on Kuilei St as University Ave can get very busy with traffic. You can see their sign right below the staircase though I accidentally walked into a vape shop lol Uyeda is located right beside it. Walking in I can instantly tell it's not at all what it used to be though it's so nice and clean and very organized a lady came out to greet me and find out what I was looking for and for me to describe what foot issues I have as I was told that many bartenders and various working folks that are on their feet constantly are regulars here. Seeing a rack with Oofos and Hoka shoes just to name a few are all known for comfort. As I found the insoles and suggestions it's the place to come for Black Friday she says as everything is 20% off and as these shoes are pricey the value of your feet as it's the foundation of it all is worth every penny. Thank you!

I have boxes of Damiani, Naturalizer, Italian, Callisto, and Athena Alexander shoes, and usually the same style in at least two colors. If you work in downtown, you have probably already stopped by on your lunch break to chat with the owner while she helps you navigate the myriad of boxes to find the right size for you. If you're a common size, you may have to wrestle with another customer for the shoe, so the best thing is to ask the owner when the new styles are coming in and plan accordingly. Have fun!

For a brief moment I enjoyed joining a 5K and 10K walks/runs and with that I had no idea what type of shoes is for me as many recommend what is the best somehow it jut never really worked for me though the stability and comfort is what many brands to encourage they have my feet just says differently. There are moments when packet pick ups was here at the Running Room and with that I always somehow never leave without purchasing something as they just have so many items besides shoes and socks and the perfect location on Kapahulu with free parking does make it an easy place to shop as well and on this sad to hear of its closure did take me by surprise so I just had to pay them a visit and I guess many have known about it as basically majority of their inventory has already been sold. Luckily for my larger sized feet there was my size left though the color situation was sparse understandably I did find one that looked promising and decided to get my very first pair of Hoka. I haven't treated myself to a brand new shoe in years so it felt like a cloud but being cautious since my legs hurt the next day. Not exactly sure when their last will be but glad to have given them one final visit and hope that the future will grand for this part of Kapahulu. Thank you!

Yelp Ghost, you're killing me!!…read more Since my previous review disappeared, I'll write this new review based on three of my most recent visits. I was looking for a new walking and running shoe so I immediately went to Food Locker at Ala Moana Center. They are located on the top floor across Hoka. Since my sister swears by Hoka and I recently bought my dad a pair of Hoka's, I looked at that section first. My cousin recommended a brand called ON so I also checked that section out after. Now I could compare them myself. I picked a pair from each brand and a SA named Joshua helped me. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about both brands. Joshua offered exceptional customer service. He didn't take long to bring out my size to give them a try. I personally didn't care for how the Hoka's made me feel. It felt like a rocking motion but maybe I need to acclimate to them? The ON pair was extremely light and very comfortable. It was a hard decision so I told Joshua I would think about it and come back. I ended up coming back to pick up the ON shoes another day. He was working so he was able to assist me with bringing the pair out for me to purchase. They offer you to join their FLX rewards program and to do a survey of your visit. With Joshua's excellent customer service, I made sure to do it. To my surprise, I received a $10 gift certificate to use on my next purchase after completing the survey. It came in handy as I wanted to get my father-in-law a pair before we flew out to visit my in-laws. Of course my dad wants a pair too lol. Great option to purchase sneakers, socks or sports apparel.

This gal isn't really a shoe shopper but my feet is always in desperate need for a comfortable pair and I've been relying on Foot Locker for that though at one point they had great selection for women as I've always came here versus the Women's Foot Locker which sadly has closed now find that the selection here for my personal preference is meh! The staff here is great as they greet you but I'm a browser and do need time to look so I don't mind that solidarity and to think through the prices as well though sometimes have the need to ask for their knowledge and suggestion which is something we all should do especially mine is mostly for work. Their insoles are a great item to keep in mind...get them and keep the receipt with the box because once they wear out it's use you can have them replaced for free as most time the insoles wear out before the shoe so you don't have to purchase another if it's in good condition and offers like this is wonderful new to keep my feet happy.
