Celine is located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center, near Chanel and next to Balenciaga--towards the luxury brand stores, obviously. At the moment, they limit the amount of customers inside to just 1-2 groups depending on the number of people, which is nice to see. I never mind waiting for safety. Once inside, the store is cool and very spacious. We were greeted by Desmond. He was friendly, professional, courteous, informative, patient, and had an overall nice demeanor. When he first brought out the alphabet necklace, I thought it looked like those building blocks that children play with, and it does seem that's what the designer was going for. Luckily, Desmond had other styles, which were much better, in my opinion anyway (yes, I give honest opinions. Not EVERYTHING looks good.). I feel like they have some nice products like most luxury brands have, but I realize why they are mostly empty when I walk by. Customer service is crap and definitely what you would actually expect of a high-fashion house that condescends its' clientele. First of all, following the client around and badgering you like a hawk was just ... Not it. Then when asked a question if a certain item was in stock she didn't even listen to the question and just stated in an annoyed tone, "we're the only Celine on this island." Like whoa girly pop that wasn't what I asked. LOL! The audacity to force me to sign up for an account with her as my advisor was the last straw and honestly hilarious. I had a wonderful experience here at Celine with our CA, Kerong! I've always loved Celine, but never made the decision to commit to the brand. I decided to drop in when we were on vacation as I was looking for an evening bag in a light neutral color. Kerong was wonderful and showed me new colors they released for the season. She was kind enough to ship the chain wallet back home for me since we were going home the following day. I even contacted her to purchase another bag after we left Hawaii. There was a security situation that arose with purchasing, but the Celine team was amazing throughout and were able to email corporate to get it solved. I will always recommend shopping here and I will continue to shop with Kerong. This entire experience really showed me how great the staff is as well as how wonderful the Celine brand is. I love Celine because it's very understated, but still a bit edgy. The shop itself is so spacious and minimalistic. Shoes and ready-to-wear are located towards the back, whilst bags, jewelries and slgs are near the front of the store. The sales associates are all friendly especially Eric! He is naturally affable and encouraged me to try on different bags plus he was not pushy, so I appreciated that. Another thing to note is the Hawaii pricing here; items are cheaper than the online or retail prices, so it's worth a visit especially is you've been interested in Celine. read more

Went in to purchase a pair of sunglasses. They did not have the color I wanted so my SA kindly offered to order them for me. She was attentive and pleasant. There are two styles of fit. My job is optical so, I know all about frames, glasses, lenses etc. I specifically ordered the style with the nose pads so that they will accommodate my lashes lol. Yes, those little details make a difference. Order placed and payment made. After a week the associate texts me that there is a delay and they need to find it! So she kept me updated which was great. Second week coming up and confusion. Told it was here only to find out it's not. By this time I'm upset and informed them if it does not come in I would like a refund. She agreed and a few days later later it arrived. I went to Ala Moana to pick up my new sunnies. It was busy and I guess whoever sold it to you needs to assist you so I waited. When it was brought out it was not the one I ordered. She tried to say it was correct. I informed her she was wrong. I asked her to look at the display sun, it had nose pads. She then brought me a display of the glasses I ordered to show me the difference. She informed me I could have this one. It had finger prints all over the lenses. Now she just insulted me even more. I then told her I ordered a brand new one, this one you want to give me has been handled and is dirty! Rude! For $510 plus tax I expect NO one to have worn it. Needless to say I left with I'm sorry and that's it. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a luxury brand. I will never patronize Celine again. read more

Eric made my purchases of the Triomphe and Luggage (Micro) seamless! I seriously did NOT leave my house until the purses landed in the Bay Area. Some context: My cousin was staying in Hawaii and was able to pay for it, that way I got the Hawaii price and tax. Eric communicated to me via email and Facetime, he also modeled the bags for me via Facetime and sent me pictures as well.. It was awesome and convenient. During our Facetime calls, he took into account my lifestyle- specifically having a toddler, and advised me which material leather I should purchase for the Luggage (calf drummed). I called the store today to inquire about a particular pair of sunglasses as I am going to visit HI next week I spoke with a Michael who was so rude and by the way, this store does not answer calls. You have to keep calling. First, I ask if their items are like 10% less than the mainland. He said no. So I asked him if he could check for me the sunglasses I'm looking for. I gave him the line category; style and the style number. Oh my, he asked for my number so that "he can have his sales clerks" check for him. I'm guessing he is a manager with no professionalism, rude, lazy and acts like he is "big boss". He hung up on me. I walked in here with my mom and sister hoping to find another bag to purchase. However, what I found instead of a Celine bag was a huge bag of discomfort and workers watching us way too closely like we were going to snatch something. As we walked towards the back and said hello to another worker, I noticed that worker going to the another worker we said hi to at the front and whisper to each other while staring at an insulated tote my mom was carrying that we had just purchased at the Target there. After their obvious and careless whispers, one worker soon followed us way too closely keeping an eye on the bags my mom was holding as if we were going to take a purse from a shelf, put it in an insulated bag to keep our crime nice and cold. If we took a step. She took a step. If we moved left. She moved left. We were here to look for purses not the cha cha slide. It completely ruined our experience because she was watching us like hawk and made uncomfortable eye contact like I was going to take something. In addition to just us having an empty insulated bag making us look like we were going to commit an act of thievery, perhaps it was us in casual clothes that made us look like potential thieves. I'm not sure how fast we can run in Birkenstocks and one of us a senior with a Celine bag in a insulated tote. Just my thoughts though. I went into this store for the first time a few weeks ago to check out a bag that caught my eye online... the lady who helped me, Meng was so nice. She showed me the bag I was interested in-- in different sizes and colors and even let me take photos of the bags to help me make my decision! I didn't make a purchase that first day but Meng gave me her card and when I emailed her to ask some questions, she responded promptly. I was in the market for an everyday luxury bag purchase. I am the slow indecisive shopper and must do my own research before making big purchases. I had browsed all of the other well known luxury brands and was not familiar with Celine until a family member suggested the nano luggage. So I decided to check it out. I had visited the shop 3 times before I went to purchase. Each time I had a positive experience. I have had interactions with a few different associates and each of them were amazing in service. I was greeted by a sales associate that were welcoming and not over bearing. I didn't feel like I was being sized up by how I dressed or what I was carrying. I also was not being followed like someone's lurking over my shoulder. I felt I had space to breath and browse but had someone available nearby to ask questions once that time came. These feelings are important to me as a shopper or else I feel anxious, judged and rushed and would rather leave out of the store and not talk to anyone. I did not have these positive feelings at other luxury brand stores. I can say I had a positive shopping experience each time, whether I bought or not I felt like I was treated as a valued customer. There was no sense of feeling pressured. One time, I had met with Eric, he was so helpful with getting products for me quickly, and he was so help in helping me decide on colors. At one point, I was indecisive about which color bag to get, so he went and got clothing wear for me to try on so I can see for myself how things looked together. I appreciated that time he took and while I was trying things on, he then physically stepped away so I can have more physical space to myself to look. I never felt rushed. I didn't make a purchase and he didn't make me feel bad for it because of all the time I took. What an amazing sales associate, I highly recommend him. Another time, I met with Kane, another great sales associate. He was pulling out all sorts of products for me to try. And giving me ideas of different looks and occassions to wear the bags to. If it weren't for him and his patiences, I would not have considered some of the other bags. I now have ideas of others items that I will want in the future. He too, is an amazing sales associate and I highly recommend him. He is enthusiastic and gives space for you to think without feeling pressure. When I was ready to purchase, I texted him and he was very fast to respond. The color I wanted was not in store and he was very fast in requesting it from another store and notified me once it arrived. I did eventually buy the nano luggage and this positive shopping experience and quality products has now made me a returning client. I can't wait to see what comes next! read more

My mom and I stopped by the Céline boutique on our first day back on the islands. Immediately, we were greeted by a kind saleswoman who introduced herself and made us feel welcome. She gave us space as we browsed, which I always appreciate. Nothing bothers me more than hovering sales associates. My mom was shopping for a clutch for an upcoming wedding, and the saleswoman was honest and said that they didn't have any at the moment, but gave alternative shops to go check out! She also told us that they have other colors that weren't displayed on the shelves. We didn't purchase anything, but now I can't get those gorgeous Céline purses out of my mind! From back home in Southern California to Waikiki, I've experienced being ignored in luxury boutiques simply due to wearing casual outfits, but that wasn't the case with Céline.
