So I started by getting a facial which turned out well, then I decided to continue to order my products from this studio to support black business and the experience was horrible. I either had to schedule a time to pick them up or wait days after ordering for shipping. This happened multiple times until I tried to order one last time and two of the products I ordered were out of stock. Instead of communicating to me next steps, or offering a refund, the owner was very short with me and only offered to give me "samples" of what I ordered with no explanation. Lastly, after finally being able to pickup only one of my paid products, the owner said that she could not communicate with me on a Sunday, even though I had been calling and texting all week for a resolution. She directed me to her email and forced me to communicate there, only to tell me I'd be refunded for my product, which is not what I asked for. Came to Effleurage with a friend and ended up getting a number of things done for myself! I had my eyebrows waxed by one of the team members and got an everyday makeup look done by the owner, April. Threading: I usually use threading for hair removal but due to my sensitive skin, I usually leave with a splotchy face. After the waxing service, I noticed little to no redness and my brows were prefect. The shape was better than whatever I've had for the last decade and my bushy brows looked tamed for once. I was disappointed to learn when I got there that my treatment was scheduled with Claudette ... but, not for long. Claudette was excellent--experienced, knowledgeable, gentle hands and just plain nice. My skin looked great when I walked out and I made a follow-up appointment for the following month.
