Mongolian beef. Not the best...get something else
Marty M.

Mongolian beef is not great. Everything is else was good. Combos with rice, chow mein and sweet n sour chicken. Almond chicken.

Standard Spring Rolls

We have been here since it opened a few months ago. I have grown to love what to expect. This is not authentic Chinese food. It western style -take out Chinese food. If you are okay with this then you will enjoy the yummy food and do fine. another review stated the staff are friendly. I would disagree...they are stalkers...you can't eat for a few minutes in peace. there is alway a server interrupting you with a mirade of things. - hows your tea/water/etc, can we take this or that away, idle chit chat, and on and on it goes. My spouse and I like dining in quiet..it just doesn't happen here. That is my only criticism. the reasonable priced western fare is a good combination and warm welcome for the white folks who had to gnaw on Chopsticks. (the restaurant before Chan's) I personally really enjoy the lettuce wrap and the wonton soup. The wonton soup comes with broccoli and pork. they also have dinners for one and more. these extra value meals fill you up. I enjoy the place even if the decor is odd and the silly tv's only play sports. i suppose it truly caters to the older white males and there spouses. There just is n't any authentic Chinese food nearby so Chans will do. There isn't any authentic nearby because i am not sure the area could support higher prices and real asian fare. wifi...shaw exo

Spring roll - super crunchy!

What a gem! One of the best Chinese restaurants in the New West/Sapperton area. Their portion size, price points and food quality are all excellent! I like their 10% off pick up orders over $20 and daily lunch specials! There is free delivery after a certain time too.

worst oriental food ever, bland tasteless cold sauce and nothing but fat for meat. Beyond gross, I threw it out (takeout).

Han Lin Noodle House - Deep fried Shishamo .. very yummy!!

It turns out it used to be Hons before they changed names but likely retained the same staff. A couple parking spots behind the building, otherwise pay parking on the street. Between the 3 of us we ordered 7 dishes - deep fried bbq bun, shrimp dumpling, pork shu mai, deep fried squid, pan fried soy sauce rice rolls, mini chinese sausage buns, and deep fried salted dumplings with pork filling. I was hoping to order my favourite wu gok (deep fried taro puff) but they don't offer it here. The deep fried bbq bun was definitely unique as I have never seen it anywhere else. The mini chinese sausage buns were dry on the outside and I felt it was missing some kind of sauce to make it more cohesive. Han Lin was quite busy from opening (we arrived at 11am) until we left around 12:30pm - filled with mostly caucasian customers who were greeted like regulars. This spot was clearly popular with the locals! I wonder if some of their dishes were created with their taste buds in mind - ie. the deep fried bbq bun. I was a bit thirsty for the rest of the afternoon, not sure if it's indicative of MSG. Overall, I think this spot is just ok but if I'm craving dimsum I'll look elsewhere for more authentic options. They are missing the usual Cantonese dimsums like rice rolls, wu gok, tofu skin rolls etc. However, I'd definitely say that prices are very reasonable and it came to about $25 per person for us.

We were the only customers in the restaurant so it was pretty quiet and empty. My friend got the Seafood Fried Rice. He thought it was OK. I got the beef chow ho fun which which is flat stir fried rice noodles with beef. It was also just OK. Both dishes were served with chili oil. I felt they could have added more seasoning to really make the flavors pop out. It's just not as tasty as I hoped it would be. It's a tad better than your random chinese food stalls at the food court. The food overall was not bad, i wasn't super disappointed with anything. It was cooked well at least. Our server was talkative and we felt taken care of. Shout out to Jeralyn for being a great server. 3 out of 5 stars based on this visit for the alright food.

Try their coffee bars located at various corners of the casino floors. Decent coffee and free to help yourself anytime! Also came with creamers and splendid sugar for diabetes. It was easy access by taking the bus 420 alongside the Cambie St. beside the Aberdeen Sky Train Station. It's about 20 minutes ride and then 5 minutes walk from the Broadway bus stop.
