Locally owned restaurant with bustling business. It's intimate but relatively spacious on the inside. Definitely ask for the Chinese menu - it has the more authentic options. Don't fear: it still comes with English translations + pictures! Food came out incredibly quickly and it seems our server was also the owner, so obviously the service was extremely prompt and friendly. The food wasn't the best I've ever had, but everything tasted decently authentic for the region and the Chinese menu offers lots of options. I was surprised that despite almost everything being red when they came out, nothing was too spicy (and trust me - I'm not that good with super spicy food). They give a big bowl of rice for every entree you order (not counting noodles/fried rice dishes), and charge $1.50 for every additional bowl you order. Unless you ordered less entrees than the number of your party, you should be good with the rice they give. Try their fried frog legs and mapo tofu, they were the best dishes we ordered!

The People's Choice Winner.... 9 years running!! I would absolutely agree with the recognition the locals have given this excellent restaurant. Our meals included the Hot and Sour Soup, the fabulous Shrimp Rangoon, Generals Tso's Chicken, my favorite the Chop Suey and a dish that only people that have lived in Missouri probably know about, the "Springfield Style Cashew Chicken." We all ordered Hot and Sour Soup. The waitress asked if we had ever had it here, because it is a "little different" she said. She brought out a sample for us to try. It was different. It was very good, but I would call it Hot and slightly Sweet Soup! The Shrimp Rangoon was the most crispy, delightful wontons we have ever had! The Chop Suey was perfect. The General Tso's Chicken was a little different. The sauce had some tomato base to it. It was not oily or syrupy, a really nice flavor. Then there was the Springfield Style Cashew Chicken. This Dish originated at Leong's Tea House in Springfield, MO. Instead of stir-fried chicken, it is deep-fried then covered with a sauce made from chicken stock, soy sauce and oyster sauce, topped off with cashews and green onions. My wife and I had this at Leong's in Springfield, on one of our first dates, many, many years ago. Wow! Pleasant memories! Outstanding! Nice, friendly staff providing very good service.

Can't believe I've never reviewed this place. What can I say, consistently the best Chinese food in town. They have an authentic menu as well as the Americanized version. The staff are quiet, hard working and friendly. Kiki runs the place standing at the register most of the time. She works all the time. What a sweetheart. All of my family come here from Marble Hill, Fredericktown, and us From Cape Girardeau. Is the food good? Just watch the take out biz that they do. Tip: Try the eggplant and pork from the Chinese menu. Waves of pork goodness will wash over your being! Eggplant is so tasty. One of my go to favorites.

This was the first time I've visited the Super Wok & I had to ask myself, "Self what took you so…read morelong to check this place out?!" I placed a to go order cashew chicken, general tso chicken, vegetable fried rice, crab rangoon. The portions were HUGE & better yet outstanding. The food was cooked to order fresh, delicious flavor & very reasonably priced. There was enough food to feed 4, 5 or 6 people. The place had a dining room & I was thoroughly impressed by how clean the entire place was. The pretty lady who waited on me was as kind & gracious as can be, felt like an old friend I hadn't seen in years. I cannot say enough of how happy I was with my overall experience with the Super Wok. Easily some of the best Chinese food I've e er had. Suffice to say I will definitely be paying more visits at lunch/dinner time to this fine restaurant!!

Absolute worst experience I've ever had at a Chinese restaurant…read more The food was absolutely disgusting. It was bland, dripping with grease, and had almost no flavor. We ordered the beef with broccoli, orange chicken, and sweet and sour chicken, and every single dish was awful. When we called to complain, the employee claimed she wasn't the manager and said the manager was "on vacation." That's hard to believe because she's the only person I've ever seen working there. She also refused to issue a refund to the card we paid with and claimed they couldn't give a cash refund because they don't keep cash on site. Our order cost about $40. When we returned to the restaurant, instead of refunding our money, she offered us six bottles of Coke and claimed they were worth $40. To make it even worse, she demanded the food back. So they took back the food and still refused to refund our money, leaving us with six bottles of Coke instead of the meal we paid for. The employee was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to take responsibility or make the situation right. Based on my experience, I would avoid this place at all costs.
