Ok here we go! To start they were slow, the food was good but one order was wrong. Me and my son ordered the same meal and he got a whole lot more food than I did. Food was delicious I had the Shrimp and Scallops Pasta very delicious with extra sauce. The drinks Margaritas and another special drink was very good. The breadsticks soft and the endless salad delicious. We were celebrating my Dad being alive and seeing his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Great joyous occasion. I live in Louisville Kentucky and Carbondale is my birthplace. Will definitely return ~ one of the best locations I have been too. Service great and there 10 of us. I went to Olive garden twice. The first time was when it first opened. Service sucks. The food came out horrible. I left my husband sitting there like the idiot he was. The second time was last month, which was August for my birthday. I thought just maybe they improved but boy was I wrong. I ordered they steak and Alfredo plate, my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs while my grandson had the pizza. Everyone else plate was looked good and hot but when I got my steak, which I ordered medium rare, it came out extra well done like shoe leather and the Alfredo was hard as a brick. I stood up once again and left my family sitting there. I would not recommend this place to anybody. I will continue to go the Paducah Kentucky location it's more intimate not like the Marion Illinois location that feels more like a fast food restaurant. read more

Olive Garden has gone downhill over the years. The food used to be fresh and made in the kitchen. Now I can taste chemicals (preservatives) in the food. It now tastes like they got the food frozen and warmed it up in the microwave. Plus the prices no longer reflect the quality. Pricey for what you get. We are longer going there. read more

Seated quickly. Very attentive wait staff, and food was delicious. Decor was much nicer than our local Olive Garden in TN. Music was a touch loud for conversation. Maybe was our table location in relation to speakers. Seemed loud, but - welcomed and enjoyable Marion establishment. read more

Pasta was cold. Only thing that was hot was the sauce . Service was very good. Salad and bread was the only thing that was good.

I've eaten here 5 times since they opened and for whatever reason the food tastes better here than other olive gardens and the service is much better too. The stars to not show how good this place is. It's also brand new so the inside and atmosphere is very nice too. read more

We placed an order for dinner, I've been sick, so my husband drove from Carbondale to Marion for pick up. Pick up time was at 6:05 and my husband checked in for said order at 5:55. I just called and spoke to the manager Sara (6:50) and the order was still not ready, but they were working on it. I have worked in the Service Industry my entire life, I think if there was going to be an hour delay, the respectful thing would have been informing us of that. Hopefully it was worth the wait. We showed up around the 2:00pm rush and the wait was supposed to be 45 minutes but only was around 20 minutes and we were taken care of immediately. The ambiance is wonderful truly a warm atmosphere. Service is great all the staff is super friendly and informative. Food was fantastic my only complaint was my asparagus in my shrimp scampi was a little undercooked but otherwise a very positive experience highly recommend to those looking for something a little different! read more

Go to the one in Paducah!!! This location has been open for just over six months...they've had time to work the bugs out, right? NOPE! Greeted at the front counter by a girl who apologized for my struggle to get to the front door. I have a paralyzed left leg, it was windy and I was having trouble balancing in the wind on my cane. Obviously she saw me through the glass...but I got an apology instead of assistance...very proactive! Party of one please...she just punched up some stuff on her screen and stood there. A young man later came and took a slip of paper off of a printer and guided me to my table. She didn't advise me that there'd be someone else coming. So I just stood there uninformed and waited. He sat me at the first table inside the door. I asked where the restroom was. All the way to the back and make a left, I guess I should've asked for a closer table. Most Olive Gardens have the restrooms in the front by the host/hostess stand. He said "Joe/Jo" will be right with you. I waited, watching a young man running all over the place (he seemed busy)...so I waited. Eventually a girl came to the table...her name was Johannah (my mistake). Where was she this entire time? I placed my order, she asked if I wanted the salad. I said I'd never had the Gnocchi-Chicken soup, and would like to try it. She had this look on her face, so I asked "not a recommended choice?" She said, it's a good soup...just not today - "depends on who shows up to work and who makes it" "The Pasta Fagioli soup is good today"...I said I like that one, I'll take a bowl of that. She came back with water, and dry breadsticks with no butter/parm on them and said my soup would be out shortly, "they're warming it up" What have I learned so far?...she's sampled two soups, the kitchen staff is unreliable, and ???they're microwaving my soup??? She returns and says "not sure what's going on with your soup, or if it's ever coming...would you like the salad?" She returns with my lunch, which I had ordered with extra Marsala sauce and extra Alfredo sauce. I asked her to bring the sauces, as it appeared to be dry. Almost NO Marsala, and the Alfredo appeared to have been microwaved to the point of turning back into butter. I'm nibbling at my food waiting for the sauce, she returns (my head is down) the large salad bowl appears, and she mumbled something, I looked up at her and asked her to repeat. She clears her throat and said..."sorry, I had a crouton in my mouth, would you like cheese on your salad? Your sauce should be right out, they're heating it up". She comes back with one bowl of sauce...it's beige in color and creamy. Hmmm...Marsala & Alfredo mixed together??? I really wasn't sure on that one...but it was decent, so I just ate it. She later returns with my check, I tried to pay with the tabletop kiosk and get the hell out of there, but that didn't work. So I pushed the "call server" button. She came over eventually and said "did you need something?" She processed my gift card - I signed and split. I was excited to know that we were finally getting an Olive Garden, a friend bought me a $250 gift card. My lunch with tip was $25. I'll be using the other $225 in Paducah!!! Unreal! read more

I had an absolutely delightful experience. The food tasted lovely, service wasn't awful by any means, and the atmosphere was very nice and lovely! I think that if you plan to go at a non-busy time, then you will get fine results. Past reviewers might have went at a much busier time than I, causing a soured mood and less-than-stellar experience. I think you will enjoy your time here if you plan ahead. read more

Don't waste your time, they are under staffed and had sections closed due to that. They said a 15 min wait it ended up being 35 min wait. People where walking out as fast as they where coming in due to the wait time being over a hour.Finally got to our seat and the waitress area was so full she was rushing making it uncomfortable and the only item I wanted they didn't have but wasn't informed ahead of time. Ended up just walking out after all that time wasted. Will never return. read more

Clean, friendly, and very attentive staff. I ordered the chicken marsala fettuccine, which was excellent except for the fact they were skimpy on the mushrooms, and could hardly find the spinach. Order it with extra mushrooms and spinach. read more

My Mother and I arrived at the restaurant twenty minutes after opening. We waited another 20-30 minutes to be seated. Wait staff were attentive and friendly but stretched just a little thin, as the restaurant was PACKED. I ordered Shrimp Fritto Misto for an app and Crispy Chicken Alfredo with broccoli for the main. Mom ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs with meat sauce. Our food was quite good and the Shrimp Fritto Misto was excellent, I'd highly recommend it and if it's any indication, I can't wait to try the Calamari. I'm looking forward to many more visits in the future. read more

We have tried several times to have dinner here. We sign up for the wait list, arrive check in then get told oh we are going to add another hour to your wait time...the wait time is already an hour. Not good customer service!!! read more

What a sad situation! Confused staff, poor waitressing, no tongs for salad(did we mind using forks?) How do you not own at least as many tongs plus extra for all the tables..kind of a big deal when as a company the salad is an advertising mainstay! It was Valentine's Day, wife ordered one drink and got it after the food came. hostess had no one to seat people, yet staff were abundant, restaurant less than a quarter full! I had gift cards and the waitress and the front desk could not figure out how to get her a tip..I only had credit cards, no cash....no tip for her but she really did not deserve it! Wait staff were all frowning, food very forgettable place was not clean (only 3 months old) and bathrooms iffy at 3pm...brought 3 sticks of bread to us and when asked for more none available, she forgot request and end of bread sticks! We won't be back...looks like St. Louis for Italian from now on ! read more

We have been there 5 times since they opened. The first two times was wonderful, however that changed. We went back but never got service, after about 20 minutes we left. At this time they were not busy, there was 4 severs on the floor in our section all of them ignoring us. Decided to go back after a few weeks, once again incredibly slow and poor service. We took another break and thought we'd try one more time. This is going to be our last time. We sat down, and like always nobody waits on us. The whole section already has upset customers, apparently they were out of alfredo sauce. They should have the host telling customers when they seat them all of the things they are out of. The manager was speaking to all of the tables comping meals left and right. Our server had mentioned she (the manager) was slurring her words and thought she was on something, we did notice that too. After about an hour and a half we finally got our meals. The management is very poor and the restaurant is not ran well at all. Corporate needs to come back and retrain everyone before it closes due to poor staff. read more
