We were dismayed to find most ice cream shops were closed, with the exception of this one! We walked in and were greeted with a cute little interior that sold coffee, some croffle and cookie treats, and New Zealand style fruit soft serve. I ordered the blueberry ($7) soft serve and it was swirled fresh in front of us. The taste was good. It reminded me a lot of other fruit soft serve places I really like and it tasted sweet but not overly so. Yum! However, the presentation on the other hand ... as you can see from the picture, it does not look very appetizing - haha! The portion wasn't too big either. While the staff was nice, she didn't seem to be too confident or sure of what she was doing. That's alright though!

And although there isn't much competition around here, I would still say that this restaurant is worth a stop. The staff are all super friendly. The view of the lake is great. And the food is good. I got the breakfast wrap, which has a healthy portion of eggs and sauteed veggies. It tastes phenomenal and I would most certainly get it again. I had mine with fruit, which was fresh, but having tried the potatoes, I think that's the way to go! The only note is that they do put the salsa in the wrap, and so it does tend to leak out the bottom. The rest of the table got the salmon lox which looked phenomenal. Large portions of smoked salmon. The scrambled eggs are fluffy. And the onions and capers add really nice acidity. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so unfortunately I can't speak to their drinks too well.

Due to covid-19, only 3 people (same party) are allowed inside the store. The washroom is also closed. You could see see the goats and kids and watch them feeding from the trough. Inside the shop, there are some local or BC products which will make good gifts or souvenirs. The sorbet and gelato are also great, especially when the weather is hot. I will suggest to have a cooler/ice box in your car if you intend to buy any cheese or milk. I did not have it and the fat/oil from my cheese truffle oozed out onto the lid of another container. Lucky it did not get any messier. But the cheese and yogurt are all good after I put them in the fridge when I got home. Nice place for a stop if you are in the Harrison Hot Springs area. And get the sorbet! It is so refreshing.

Love it! Now the cheese... internationally renowned cheese maker providing consistently high-ranked cheeses, there's a little something for everyone here. If you're not exactly into the real rich, stinky cheeses they also have more milder varieties. Alpine Gold is one of my favourites and their truffle balls are amazing. For the 2015 Farmer's Market route they offered a honey and lavender chevre pyramid that was amazing, but you could only pick it up at markets (I was able to get it only once at the shop). They also have a halloumi cheese called the Chuck Wagon that they offer seasonally. If they have some in shop do pick it up, grills up wonderfully! I could seriously go on and on. I typically make a run out to the farm once a month and stock up. Ultra organic, you can taste it in the product, offsets the price. Go there. Do it now. You won't regret it!

Some of the tools of the trade are out in the open for all to see, and you can watch as the fresh caramel is being poured. You will be offered samples when you arrive, but don't fall for it because that's how they hook you. The BC Opioid crisis has nothing on the chocolate overdoes crisis that could erupt if too many people get a taste of the sweets emanating from this establishment. I only wish prices were better, but remember that this store is located in a seasonal tourist trap area. So, I'm sure overhead is high and prices adjusted for the fluctuating nature of the tourist traffic. But, if you're in the neighborhood, pop on in and sample some amazing sweets!
