Excellent experience ! I highly recommend this place for food, service and atmosphere especially with your family as the portions were huge and the flavour was authentic! Gerry was on-site and he has over the top friendly, accommodating and generous offering lots of meaningful conversations and laughs... within my line of work I eat out all the time and this a surprise nested in the mountains of Harrison and I will go out of my way again to dine with the restaurant as it was truly awesome to experience and be hosted by this restaurant. I was a little hesitant of going here, pleasantly surprised to say it was absolutely great. I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries. That hamburger was one awesome hamburger I highly recommend it and my wife had the fish and chips and let me tell and chips hand done and it was the best fish and chips I've ever had. After a long cold day of fishing, we were on our way home and were headed to A&W when we spied Harrison Hamburger on the corner and noticed a short line outside, and thought, why not? The menu is simple to understand, and when you order the cashier always tries to up-sell you on a combo, so if you want just the burger, make sure you're paying attention. I got the mushroom swiss burger and my partner got the bacon cheeseburger. It was clear they used the canned mushrooms and they didnt bother heating it up, it was cold and mixed in with their version of a chipotle-ish mayo. I didn't notice what toppings were included in each burger, but I picked out the raw onions and pickles and gladly gave them to my partner. The bun is very crispy and crumbly and the patty was average. My partner noted the bacon was good but everything else was just meh. Covid-safety: While waiting in the shop, we noticed that there were some tables blocked off, but they did not clean tables in between groups using it, nor did they have those fancy little cards that you flip over when you've finished so the next group knows if it's been used recently or not. There were plastic barriers at the cashier, and between the cashier and the kitchen, but the guy working the kitchen was not wearing a mask. Washroom available for guests. Still self serve for condiments and salt/pepper - I was kind of surprised as most food establishments have removed those in order to minimize touch points and you have to ask for them.... We observed a lady pick up/touch about 6 salt packets, take only 2, and the rest were absent-mindedly dropped back in the basket.... Case in point. read more

Kids got chicken fingers, which were overdone and onion rings which were pretty good. Overall ok for what it is. I should have read the reviews on Yelp before we decided to eat here. Google gave 3.6 stars but I think they must get friends or family as it was not worth it. We ordered a double burger, smokie, poutine and drink for $28. The food took about 10-15 minutes to cook so we had great expectations but they quickly vanished. Looking at the poutine, there weren't any cheese curds, it appeared shredded but it tasted ok, nothing special. The burger was over cooked and the bun got mushy half way through. We expected the smokie to be juicy and tasty but it was tough, overcooked and disgusting. The only way that the smokie could be that overcooked is that it had to been microwaved for too long then thrown on the grill afterwards. I know that overcooked microwave dog taste/look/toughness. We would've waited for fresh cooked good food and paid extras too. You definitely get what you pay for at this cheap burger joint. Hard pass - go somewhere better! read more

I came here for the poutine. Hey, there are surprisingly few places in town that serve it, and I had a craving. I ordered from the counter and got a paper slip with a number. I sat and waited while two previous orders were called, so it took maybe 5 minutes to get mine. The poutine was a bit of a letdown. No cheese curds I could detect. Probably some cheddar that melted into the gravy. And boy was there gravy. It was served in a bowl, fries swimming in gravy. A poutine is only as good as its fries, and these were sub-par. Not cooked enough I guess. The gravy was piping hot though. Took me a while to finish. It hit the spot but I don't think I will ever get poutine here again. read more

Partly because the burger was big and partly because the fries were not homemade so there was no fighting over them ;). After the disaster at the Lakeview Diner, this day food place was better but not by much. The pro was the burgers. It was done right and tasty. The negatives: Fries were terrible. Old, hard and felt it was refried a few times. Service : someone was there to take our order at the counter. No smile, no attitude, no life... Very robotic. Fountain drink was part of the combo, Sprite tasted funny - to much carbonation. Portion sizes made me feel like it I was in Japan, however there was a 30% markup. This means that was an intentional error on and obvious out of the country senior tourist. The fountain pop was not mixing right and seemed too heavy on the carbination and not enough of the syrup mixing in right so didn't have a great taste.
