Although there are a ton of restaurants around Harrison lake, there surprisingly is not a bunch of breakfast spots. And although there isn't much competition around here, I would still say that this restaurant is worth a stop. The staff are all super friendly. The view of the lake is great. And the food is good. I got the breakfast wrap, which has a healthy portion of eggs and sauteed veggies. It tastes phenomenal and I would most certainly get it again. I had mine with fruit, which was fresh, but having tried the potatoes, I think that's the way to go! The only note is that they do put the salsa in the wrap, and so it does tend to leak out the bottom. The rest of the table got the salmon lox which looked phenomenal. Large portions of smoked salmon. The scrambled eggs are fluffy. And the onions and capers add really nice acidity. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so unfortunately I can't speak to their drinks too well. read more

Daughter and Mom were seeking muffins for breakfast in our room the second morning of a recent 3-night stay in Harrison. Daughter and I decided to check out Muddy Waters. For us, going to the cafe provided a pleasant walk and lovely view along the sidewalk adjacent Harrison Lake, to the cafe's location further along Esplanade Avenue. The cafe was open, and we found a rather nice looking assortment of large, and fresh-looking muffins to choose from. Daughter selected three, large cheese muffins. Along with a few caps of butter, and paper napkins, they were put in a paper bag and came back to our room with us. Service at the cafe was prompt, and friendly. We were all happy with the breakfast choice - but 'oops' on me, for forgetting to catch a photo or two. Along with some hotel supplied make-in-the-room coffee, the muffins did breakfast up fine that morning. And leftover pieces found their way to snacks later. read more

This was our second choice. The first business spoke rudely to us when we inquired before entering if dogs were permitted on their outdoor patio. I googled dog friendly patios and saw Muddy Waters had rave reviews. It was excellent , right on Main Street with a lake view and lots of shade. Big doggie dish of water and a dog treat for our girl as well. Hubby had BLT, I had the pulled pork and it was delicious. Fresh bun, fresh toppings, plenty of moist tender pork and a very tasty sauce. Service was very friendly and helpful with beverage recommendations. Some of the best scrambled eggs I've had ever! We came for breakfast after a night at the resort to this unassuming cafe. We were met with cozy vibes, lakeside views, and the nicest workers. Breakfast is served till 11am and the entrees come with either potatoes or fruit. I tried their English muffin lox which came with a mound of their soft, creamy scrambled eggs sandwiched between. Also tried their breakfast wrap which again had some of the best eggs steaming hot with each bite. Also the potatoes were surprisingly good as well. In 2019 we missed getting to go here due to the closures at Christmas time so we were eager to try it this year in 2021 when we went since it's one of the few places in Harrison with such high stars. So glad we did and wish we could have snuck another meal in here before we had to leave. The food is FRESH and cooked very well. The side fruit had tremendous a variety even though a lot of it wasn't in season and was entertaining to eat. I felt like I could have eaten a handful of the breakfast sandwiches they were so good. We also got the salmon lox, capers and Spanish onions on English muffin and that was fresh and amazing too right down the hash brown sides. My decaf American misto was done perfectly too. Sooo much goodness. After eating at practically everywhere in Harrison, I was so happy to find this place. The town needs more places that offer good, fresh food at decent prices. read more

The people in front of us took their time ordering. When we made it to the front it was 11:02 and the staff was unwilling to make any breakfast. Super rude staff in the back. There are a lot of places to get breakfast in Harrison, but this one is my favourite. They have really good muffins and baked goods. Their breakfast platters incorporate fresh seasonal fruits to add some colourful flair. The salads are terrific, and you have the option of adding protein in the form of bison patties, duck, chicken and other meats. Customer service is decent; it appears as if all the staff are related. We ordered 2 large size of espresso and Breakfast Bun & Breakfast Wrap. Big cup of warm steamed foam and espresso was great and made my feel so relaxed in the morning. Breakfast served until 11am. Cozy little cafe in the heart of Harrison with a very delicious menu! This place is self serve and is good for brunch, and coffee breaks. I went during lunch hours and the service was good despite being busy. Service was good, but nothing special. The London fog latte I had was good! The tea flavour was there and it wasn't diluted. I also had an apple cake and wooah - delicious! Soft yet had a bit of texture with each bite. Tons of buttery, apple cinnamon flavour which I loved. Lovely little cafe with a coveted patio. I had the steelhead and crab burger - the patty was obviously hand made and absolutely delicious, as was my companion's black bean burger. Toppings were simple - lettuce, tomato, and aioli - letting the patty be the star. Everything was very fresh tasting. The soup of the day was tomato basil, which is a favourite of mine, and it was a generous portion. Beers were from Old Yale Brewing. I thought it was very good value for the money. We visited Harrison Hot Springs 9/20/2023 and stopped at Muddy Waters Cafe for breakfast. My wife is quite picky and she loved the scrambled eggs, toast and fruit plate which I also chose. The scrambled eggs came in a small bowl, 4 slices of toast, blackberry jam, and a delightful combination of fresh fruit. I also added a mocha which came in a large ceramic coffee cup. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and the food exceeded our expectation. We may go back for lunch later today to sample more of their fare. You can't go wrong here. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday morning to grab coffee and a pastry around 10am. It's a small space and there was a line up out the door - they were diligently checking vaccine passports and some people just aren't prepared. There wasn't much in terms of pastries (cookies and coffee cake) so I opted to order the breakfast wrap with fruit instead and my partner got the breakfast bun with hashbrowns. Both were super tasty and hearty, and the sides were delicious. Coffees did the trick. We also ordered cookies to go - they look like hockey pucks but were surprisingly soft and filled with chocolate chips - yum! The lunch menu looked amazing - I wish I could have ordered one of their sandwiches but you had to wait until after 11am. Decent food close to the water. Had the local Fraser valley duck breakfast sandwich on a cranberry sourdough with kettle chips. Portion size is good. Decent amount of duck breast and good flavours. However a suggestion is to not over toast the bread, which was disappointing. If the crust wasn't over done I would have enjoying it more. This busy little restaurant is worth the wait! The staff, food and atmosphere are ace. The food was delicious and the kids meals are awesome. My daughter loved pouring her own milk into her cereal and had a side of goldfish! There is only 1 high chair but when the other family was done, they asked us if we wanted it. But I can 100% tell you - the food here is outta this world!!! Saturday - I wondered in here & saw the black board with various menu options - my eyes got fixated on - the Bison Burger! I was now back here on Sunday - & yes - for the Bison Burger! On both days the place was busy with a lineup to order - but remember this - it's worth the short wait for your food! I have generally found great bison burgers only in the USA - so I was super glad I found a joint that sold it here outside Metro Vancouver - all the way up at Harrison. Wow oh wow! We had a wonderful salad with it & a Crab Burger & soup. Ok the sauce in my burger - shut the front door - it was unbelievable! I loved it! The salad dressing they used - ok this place has something special going on! And as for the soup that came with the Crab burger - OMG! The king of all soups is right here! Tomato & red peppers with what must be a dash of something secret no one will ever know - this is by far the best soup I've had in years!!! Must try!! Stayed 1.5 days in Harrison and came here twice for lunch. Their homemade burgers and Chilliwack's "Cobs Bread" were so fresh, so seasonal and so delicious. We had the ground rib steak burger ($14.99), and baby shrimp sandwich ($14.99). The juicy steak blended in well with the 5-year old white cheddar. The mushroom soup was okay, but try the thai chicken soup - amazing! What surprised me was the freshness and the taste of the multi-grain bread on the shrimp sandwich. Also tried the grass-fed Elk Burger ($15.99) on brioche bun and Fraser Valley duck breast on cranberry sourdough ($15.99). I didn't think I would like tasting elk, but I inhaled it. It was tasty and tender. They weren't kidding when they advertised the salad was fresh - yum. Disappointed that the duck breasts were cold. The flavour would enhance if grilled.
