I never take time for myself since becoming a wife and a mother, but after making comments to my husband that I wanted my hair cut, he bought me a certificate to Chaos for Christmas. I went for the first time December 27th and had a drastic makeover by Jenn Case. I am absolutely in love with my new hairstyle and we even added a bang onto my style today; I am even more in love with it each day. Between the head massage at the bubble bar and the love and compliments you get from all of their staff, there is NO OTHER salon to get your hair done. Firstly I was so so so excited to get my hair done here after hearing such great reviews online and when I booked my appointment I couldn't wait to get my hair done. Upon arrival I was greeted everyone was super friendly and great and my stylist was such a sweetheart as well as her helper I came in wanting my roots lightened but not as light as my blonde gold color so the regrowth wasn't as abrupt, and some highlights. The color I asked for was golden beige blonde highlights, she said she would also tone my hair so it matches and blends better with everything. I wanted everything lighter and brighter and ended up with a dark red brown, dark brown almost black roots and super blonde hair. I don't know why she took my undergrowth so dark and why my roots were extremely dark when I went in wanting to keep it all light but I'm way to nice to call someone out that had been so pleasant to work with that I went home and cried my eyes out when I got home. When my mom saw my hair she said that "you should get a refund that's how bad it looks." And called they said they could try to fix it as best they could and don't do refunds. What I don't get is how she let me leave the salon when what I asked for she couldn't do but still charged me 180$? I feel crushed and scared to even go back so I canceled my hair fix appointment because I'm that embarrassed and shocked at how my hair looks I don't even know that it can be fixed without it getting too damaged. I had an appointment at Chaos for my engagement pictures. Services were: partial highlight, haircut, style, makeup. I walked into the salon, which has a super industrial/steampunk/bad ass vibe. My hairstylist was Jenn, she runs the place. One thing I noticed immediately is that the salon was busy, which is a great thing. There's a reason they are so busy. I told her I needed a fill in my highlights but she provided much more. Typically when I get my hair highlighted you can see the difference where the root was touched up and the rest of the hair. Not the case with Chaos. My root to tip was seamless as if I had never had a root touch up. I also had her style my hair and it lasted the entire evening (9 hours after appointment ended.) Roya did my makeup. I have never had any makeup professionally applied before. She was quick and took my opinions and desires to heart. I had a natural look but you could tell I was still wearing makeup. She also provided me with a lipgloss I could keep! I will be returning to Chaos for my wedding day preparation and I am very excited about it. Jenn's assistant Matt also gave me the most amazing head massage when he washed my hair. I am new to Mt. Clemens and my husband convinced me I should switch salons to boost the economy in our new neighborhood and spend our money where we now live. I went on-line and searched for salons in Mt. Clemens. The website had me hooked - I went to every section, checked out the remodel photos and read the bios. I was delighted to see that Chaos is just as great in person. Erin cut my hair (I chose her because the site said she was a texture specialist) - she was ready for me right away, she was personable (no awkward silences) and brilliant! I've been wearing the same very short haircut for several months and she had some great input and ideas on how to keep it fresh and edgy. She walked me through the products she used and the different methods she was using to cut my hair and how that was going to provide the look I wanted. I not only got a great haircut, but a little education too. I'm proud to say Erin is my new go-to girl! I have been going to Chaos and Jenn Case for 6 years now. Hands down best stylist I have been to since I lived in Denver over 25 years ago. I have been to both salon locations and have seen the growth of her awesome staff and business. Chaos not only provides great services, it is a fun place to go. With its fun write on walls to the warmth and coziness of friends. I get my eyelashes and hair done. The skill and expertise of Jenn and all her girls is bar none. To Virginia for you to say the things to stated mean to me and in my opinion you are off base and dont know what a true salon experience is. As for the parking there is the biggest parking lot in Downtown Mt Clemens right across the street. All you need to do is look. Had an appointment with Sarah K. She is wonderful. I had never been to the salon before and she was very welcoming and friendly. I could easily tell that she is an expert and knew exactly what she is doing. Will be going back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new salon. read more

The staff is nice but when he colored my hair I said a little darker then my roots but he made it almost black, and my "biolage" was supposed to be a little light brown and some blond but instead I got blond, he added caramel toner which I said NO it will turn red it always does and instead he did it anyway and for the day it was fine but as it washed out its red. So for all the money I spent, which he quoted me differently then he charged, when I told him it was to dark and the caramel turned red he said ok then after a day he tells me oh by the way what is your budget its going to cost more. So not only did I spend over 200 now you want to charge me to fix it????? I did not get anything I asked for why am I paying again shouldnt you fix it to what I wanted for all the money I paid? What a joke never again and I will let everyone know dont go there they dont listen read more

Do NOT go here for eyelash extensions. My eye was glued shut and the girl decided to cut off my lower eyelashes without evening telling me! Very unprofessional considering there is glue remover for this, but she was just too lazy to remove the glue and redo my extensions. After all this, she proceeded to charge me full price. I began going to Erin this past winter on the recommendation of a friend. I am very leery of stylists after having a few BAD experiences in the past. Erin exceeded my expectations. The cut, color, and style afterward were all amazing! The salon itself is bright, friendly, and casually relaxing. Exactly the little mini escape you need while being made to look like a rock star. I have gone to this salon a few times now and have had all mediocre experiences. The first time I went in for a consultation I wanted a color correction that they told me that it would be no problem at all and that they could easily do it. So I set up the appointment and the girl ended up not being able to get me my desired result, but still charged the full amount even though the task wasn't accomplished. This place isn't cheap either. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt I mean it's not like my hair was ruined, just not what I wanted. So I paid, even tipped well and then got home and realized a chunk of my hair wasn't even colored. I didn't have time to come back up and have it fixed, but I did call and make them aware of the issue. So at my next appointment I expected a discount of some sort for their mistake. Nope. Not even offered, or an apology or anything. Still gave them another chance because the salon is very close to my house, and offers olaplex (which I have asked for twice and never received a treatment for some reason) I went in about a week ago for color removal/correction thinking they would have a color removal method better than what I had at home, and after 2 "color balances" I find out its a bleach bath.... are you kidding I could have done that at home and not had to pay $150 for 2 bleach baths and all over color.... on top of that she was unable to achieve the color I asked for and my ends are fried despite a trim even though I asked for olaplex in the color and she didn't use it! I don't know what it is with this place, but they don't seem to give a crap what you want done to your hair, they just do whatever. Also when I was in I heard a couple of the employees talking about drugs, and getting drunk. Super unprofessional in my opinion. I will be driving out to a different salon from here on out. read more
