Molcajete platter
Cinzia L.

Ya'll. Soooo delish! The food came out so fresh and hot! The tortillas too!! The corn tortillas are in house made. Add some butter. Oh man! I ordered the molcajete platter and it's enough for two! Their aguas frescas are nice and fresh and not loaded with too much sugar. Just the right quench for these hot summer days. Hole in the wall gem with great food!

Oh my god it's so good how did I drive past this gem for so long???

Don't blink or you'll miss this little restaurant off Sam Bass Rd. After being told many times of how good it is we finally were able to get in. The interior is basic table chair setting hole in the wall establishment but packs a punch with amazing food. We tried a little bit of everything. Menudo, breakfast food and they had a variety of Mexican food galore. They also serve antojitos like Elote en vaso, fresas con crema, and liquados. The service is friendly but you do need to remind to bring you stuff. They did get busy while we were there so I'll give them a pass. They close early so be sure to go before 2 pm on Sundays.

So good last weekend had to come back again I just can't get over how good this little place is! The juice had a bit more of a punch this week!! We have some family in town so I feel like I'll be back again tomorrow!

What a delicious deluxe delight surprise this was. I have wanted to eat here for years. Drive past busy, drove past I was full and went see man I forgot. Well today was the day. No it not the best looking building. I like grease spoon looking buildings. Listen this is Real Mexican food. I'm a Texan. What a meal we had. It was almost closing they welcome us and did not rush us. Don't go for looks go for the food

(4.5 rounded up) Doesn't look like much when you see it. The definition of a hole-in-the-wall. (These words in the sample review work well here, too.) But the food is worth it. The prices are reasonable, the portion sizes are large, and the staff is very friendly. What more can you ask for? On my latest visit, yesterday, I had their tortilla soup (which I'll come back to), and their elote en vaso. Not many places around here have elote en vaso, so I'm always happy to see it on the menu. This place didn't disappoint. To be honest, I wasn't completely impressed with the soup when I had it. It was very plain, not like other tortilla soups I've enjoyed more. I doctored it the way I normallly would, with some of the ingredients that came on the side -- corn tortilla strips and cheese. I also squeezed in some fresh lime juice, from the limes they brought for my water. I had some of the soup and brought the rest home for later. Often soups and stews are better the second day. What I learned is that this is one of those soups. When I first had it, it tasted a lot like a standard chicken broth. When I heated it up for lunch the next day, it had transformed into exactly the kind of tortilla soup I really like. Thick and flavorful. It needed that time for all the flavors to meld. I'd thought I'd never order it again here, and just stick with other choices. But, from now on, I think I'll just get it to go and wait to eat it the next day. Also, I tend to forget that they have paletas until it's too late. One day, I'm going to make a point of leaving some room for them. I'll definitely be heading back for more.

Jalapeños I removed from one omelette

They serve omelette but don't take the time to prep them properly. Over added thick pieces of topping this is the jalapeños I removed alone not even the large tomatoes or pieces

The barbacoa tacos. A mess!
Courtney B.

On 5/3/2019 I came here and ordered the following: Flautas plate The chicken flautas were crisp and the chicken was fresh. The beans and the rice for the dish however were not fresh and the rice in particular was salty. Barbacoa Tacos The barbacoa itself was greasy/oily. The grease from the barbacoa seemed to lateral over to every other item (tortillas included) on this dish. Based upon this occurrence, this is not something that I would purchase from this establishment in the future (see the attached photo). Chips and salsa The chips were not fresh and seemed to be store bought. The salsa was thick but lacked flavor. Total $15.69 *please note, I was "checked in" when I reviewed this establishment and was at this location when it was written.

Fajita taco

I got pina aqua Fresca and a taco it was so yum and cheap highly recommend the lady and cashier was so sweet too ! The drink was MASSIVE! Something to know: they have a $5 limit on cards so bring cash or expect to pay more than $5

Food and service was great. Authentic Mexican dishes offered at fair prices. Best stop for Mexican breakfast in Round Rock.

They have the best Al pastor tacos! So yummy and authentic. The agua de melón and horchata are fantastic. Can't beat the pricing either!

The breakfast tacos here are good. We have eaten here a couple of time. I think the breakfast is better than the lunch options.

It was time to try a new Mexican restaurant in our area…read more As an American Mexican, i have way different expectations of Mexican food/ restaurants. This unfortunately did not meet or exceed any... i came in with none. We ordered Quesabirria tacos. My wife got the order with the beans and rice... rosarita beans and mediocre rice. Minutes after eating the tacos i had a horrible lingering feeling in my mouth of grease.. i lined my mouth with lard it felt like. The consome/ soup type that you dip the taco into had garbanzo beans ... what in the culinarily missapropriated food item was that In MEXICAN food!!!???? The overbearing music that cuts out every 16 notes is obnoxious and loud. They have a few TVs for games, but doesnt seem like there was any thought as to placement. Need to do better I did take a peek at some plates around us... the chile verde looked good. So you know me, i will not slam a restaurant without the benefit of the doubt, so i will come back and have that, i hope its not just my topo chico what tastes good again

I visited Taco More today after a long and stressful day at work, and I was honestly just ready to…read moreeat. I noticed they had some new menu items and was excited to try the milanesa de res plate (as clearly written on their board). The waitress, a very nice young lady, took my order with no problem. But shortly after, she came back saying the cook told her that the milanesa could only be made with chicken. I showed her the board, which listed both beef (res) and chicken (pollo). This led to several servers having to check and communicate with the kitchen, which felt unnecessary and just made the wait longer -- I was simply hungry and didn't want the extra back-and-forth. Eventually, our server explained that milanesa de res is only available in tortas, but then added they were actually out of beef anyway. I accepted that and asked for a side of rice instead. About 10 minutes later, she returned saying the cook had decided they would go ahead and make the milanesa de res after all. At this point, I was frustrated -- why say they didn't have it, then later say they could make it? It really felt like the kitchen was making up rules as they went, which is not fair to the customers or to the servers. The only positive part of this visit was our waitress. She was kind, patient, and clearly just trying to do her job, but the disorganization and inconsistency from the kitchen left a very bad impression.

Never had it before but it did not disappoint. The cut is fatty since it's the head but the meat was tender and delicious. Paired with the homemade tortillas and salsa it was a 10 outta 10. The staff was so kinda and I was able to tour where they cook all the meat. The time and effort that is put into making the food is a true work of art. The TENDERISM was so real . I will be back again to try the other cuts since it was so good . I believe they do tend to sell out so the earlier the better .

Or the reviews online but what I received when I got my food was nothing like I thought. Honestly, I love lamb, but if you put a plate in front of me and then tell me what I was eating, I could not give you a description of what it was. The meat had no lamb flavor at all more of like a stewed meat. I unforced got a lot of connective tissue which I had to pick away at. The salsa they had available were very good as well as the handmade corn tortillas. I applaud this family for providing something different than the rest of the crowd. However, I'm not sure I would make a second trip back, unfortunately.
