Let's start with the small menudo. If you don't like spicy menudo then this might be up your alley. As for me I was looking for spicy in every bite and never got it. Something that was very different about this menudo was that is was entirely meat and broth/juice there was 0 sign of hominey which is something I've never seen before. I love for my menudo to have lots of meat and some hominey but the fact that there was absolutely no hominey made me unsatisfied. I give the menudo overall a 3.5/10 I probably won't get that again here. The flautas were a 10/10 they were perfectly crispy all around, the meat was seasoned and the flautas definitely had a great portion of meat. The chicken flautas came smothere in cream and queso fresco as well as lettuce and tomato which all tasted fresh and went really well with those. The red and green salsa were really good and flavorful. The red one was much spicier than the green both complimented the flautas. Fruit cup was good and made fresh to order. The carne asada burrito with potato's and cheese was HUGE, very flavorful, a hint of spice and had lots of meat! 9.5/10 highly recommended only thing that could've brought it to a ten would be if the potatoes had some sort of crispiness to them, they were super soft and I prefer a crust-like outer layer on my potatoes. It is alas also authentically weak. Even the tacos were mushy microwave reheats. Salsa was terrible. Chips out of low cost bag. Rice and beans were surprisingly good, but at $15+ per entree? Them's some expensive rice & beans, partner. Best to mosey to El Jardins or any other local joint if you're going to spend so much. The staff were very nice. But the DoorDash vibe added the usual chaotic divide between diners & dashers. Restroom reeked into part of dining room but moving across the ample sized seating area took care of that. read more

I picked up a dozen pork and a dozen jalapeño and cheese tamales here yesterday. I put them in the fridge and then we steamed them at work today for lunch. WOW! We loved them. I saw their Monday special is two egg and potato tacos for $5, which I didn't think was that crazy of a deal, but I went for that and one pastor taco. They don't list their prices. After ordering, I found out the pastor taco was about $5.50. Hiding the prices feels purposely deceptive especially as the taco was not generously sized. The egg and potato tacos were very mediocre. They kept falling apart upon every attempt to pick it up. Same with the pastor, although the flavour was significantly better. We came for brunch one morning and my husband ordered the chilaquiles verdes with chicken. I ordered posole rojo with pork. I ordered the egg with nopales and bean and cheese - the fan favorite was egg with nopales. everyone liked that one the most. After reading the glowing Google reviews, I took my wife to Taqueria Mi Tia for lunch today. We arrived just before noon and I immediately noticed that many of the tables were covered in dirty dishes. We ordered at the counter and opted for enchilada plates, no beef, only chicken and cheese. As we waited for our food, the restaurant began to fill with people picking up orders and sone dining in. Eventually our chicken enchilada plates arrived with a fork but no other utensils. The tortillas were extremely tough and we had to ask for a knife to cut them. Very much different from the Google reviews! Overall, a major disappointment! read more

We missed breakfast at our hotel so my stepson and I decided to come to this place. I got the huevos rancheros that I hadn't had in quite awhile. The eggs were cooked well, the beans had good taste but I thought the potatoes could have been a little browner (my preference). The coffee was good also. As I assumed sitting down to eat inside was a different experience. The corn tortillas are made in house, which in my opinion is best! Personally I do not like store bought flour tortillas and on the fence when it comes to store bought corn tortillas. I had no fat in my barbacoa taco, unlike my first experience. My husband had the steak and bean taco, which was bomb! Typing this review is making my mouth water! The staff was friendly, we were treated upon entry. What my husband ordered I don't think he saw on the menu but they made it for him. The salsa/chile was fire!! Dining in was definitely worth it!! The place is clean and while the restaurant is not huge, there is plenty of seating. We were not the only couple dining in, I noticed the staff checking on an elderly couple who was there before us and still when we left. The flavor of my huevos rancheros plate was mediocre. When my grandmother makes huevos rancheros she cooks it slightly different. One of my eggs was slimy, not cooked completely and that was ugh, well, not pleasant to say the least. Great spot for birria tacos. I always get the quesabirra tacos. I think it has more melted cheese than a regular birria taco. These are some of the best I've had. Tender juicy meat with gooey melty cheese on the inside and crispy cheese on the outside of the tortilla. The consume, onions, and cilantro take it to the next level. The cheese was melty and stretchy like Oaxaca. They make their own chips and tortillas --These taste amazing! The chips are the thick, crunchy, authentic kind! The guac came in a 4 oz cup, but it was generously filled, fresh, and flavorful. I tried all 3 salsas with the chips, and they each had their own tasty flavor. The flautas were crunchy and filling, topped with fresh shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sour cream, avocado and queso fresco and served with refried beans. --Those beans were cooked with something delicious, giving it a bit of smokey flavor and reminding me of bbq or bacon.
