    Beans and rice

Let's start with the small menudo. If you don't like spicy menudo then this might be up your alley. As for me I was looking for spicy in every bite and never got it. Something that was very different about this menudo was that is was entirely meat and broth/juice there was 0 sign of hominey which is something I've never seen before. I love for my menudo to have lots of meat and some hominey but the fact that there was absolutely no hominey made me unsatisfied. I give the menudo overall a 3.5/10 I probably won't get that again here. The flautas were a 10/10 they were perfectly crispy all around, the meat was seasoned and the flautas definitely had a great portion of meat. The chicken flautas came smothere in cream and queso fresco as well as lettuce and tomato which all tasted fresh and went really well with those. The red and green salsa were really good and flavorful. The red one was much spicier than the green both complimented the flautas. Fruit cup was good and made fresh to order. The carne asada burrito with potato's and cheese was HUGE, very flavorful, a hint of spice and had lots of meat! 9.5/10 highly recommended only thing that could've brought it to a ten would be if the potatoes had some sort of crispiness to them, they were super soft and I prefer a crust-like outer layer on my potatoes. Beans were good, love that they put cheese in them just like my family does. The rice was good, I did add a little salt to it but overall good. The staff was sweet and patient, I came in with my two toddlers and they interacted with the staff and enjoyed their food

Best Birria tacos in Austin. Hands down. Handmade greasy delicious goodness. In an old strip mall at Greenwood and Gattis School next to a gas station. Nothing fancy.

    Beef Enchiladas...red sauce....with double rice.

We Love these strip mall finds....Service was great and it is counter service...I think....place is small but plenty of seating.... The overall meal was fantastic....Wife Beef Enchiladas (3) with double rice....Beef alone was good, made for a great bite with the sauce....Mine was the Chicken Enchiladas (3) with Beans and Rice....Beans were Great...Tender chicken....tasty sauce....We both enjoyed the rice....fresh and fluffy....also we both agreed the portions were large compared to most...Really the only downside was they dont offer Queso...but that wouldn't stop us from visiting again.

    Carne Asada Street Tacos

This is my favorite taco spot in round rock since moving here last summer. The barbacoa tacos are my favorite, but they just started doing street tacos and the carne asada ones are really good! They also have a really great selection of breakfast tacos. It's a smaller restaurant, but you can't go wrong with gas station tacos!

    Chicken enchiladas beans, rice

Taqueria Mi Tia Y'all... how have I been sleeping on this place?! Taqueria Mi Tia is the real deal. I had the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans--delicious. But the real star of the show? The tacos. I ordered six--yes, six--so I wouldn't have to share with my husband. That's called self-care. I got three with corn tortillas and three with flour, and let me tell you, both were excellent. Perfectly cooked, seasoned just right, and full of flavor. I even saved a few for the next morning, warmed them up for breakfast and--oh my gosh--YUM. YUM. YUM. They held up beautifully. Now let's talk salsa--that green salsa deserves a standing ovation. Bright, fresh, and just the right amount of kick. The red salsa showed up, but it wasn't trying to be the main character. That green though? She stole the show. The service? Friendly and fast. The vibe? Chill and authentic. My husband and I have been on the hunt for a spot like this--for when we don't feel like cooking but still want something real. We found it. Bonus: They serve breakfast! I'm already planning my return for some early morning taco joy. Highly recommend you try it out.

Pastor tacos, egg and potato tacos
    Carrie M.

I saw their Monday special is two egg and potato tacos for $5, which I didn't think was that crazy of a deal, but I went for that and one pastor taco. They don't list their prices. After ordering, I found out the pastor taco was about $5.50. Hiding the prices feels purposely deceptive especially as the taco was not generously sized. The egg and potato tacos were very mediocre. They kept falling apart upon every attempt to pick it up. Same with the pastor, although the flavour was significantly better. I thought the pastor taco was very good, but the price is unreasonable for the size, especially compared to other local taco shops.

Great atmosphere. Good customer service. I can see why one would have to set a reservation prior. Facility was clean as well. Menu wasn't overly complicated with too much stuff. Just right . Would definitely come back!

It was so good and enough for me

Food was delicious. Price is fair. Small but good business. Inside there is multiple tables to sit. Usually not too busy but if you go at lunch time it can get a bit crowded. But the service not impacted.

5 Stars - A Hidden Gem! I'm from Houston and stopped by Taqueria Mi Tia on my way into Austin -- and WOW. The pozole? Absolutely bomb. Flavor-packed, comforting, and hit all the right notes. They went above and beyond with their service too -- super accommodating! I asked for a suero (hehehe), and they made me one with mineral water, manzanita, lemon, and a touch of sauce. Top-tier. The woman who helped me was so kind and made the whole experience even better. There's no way I'm ever visiting Austin-Round Rock again without stopping here first -- it's officially a tradition before heading back to Houston. Don't sleep on this spot!

    Tostada de Ceviche l
    Josephine A.

We found this place by doing a search for nearby food. It's a small and quaint establishment. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. I had the doors and my husband had the flautas. Both were great. Then he decided to order the Tostada de Ceviche. That was the cherry on top! It was so flavorful and fresh. When we make it back to Round Rock, this place will be on our list.

We missed breakfast at our hotel so my stepson and I decided to come to this place. I got the huevos rancheros that I hadn't had in quite awhile. The eggs were cooked well, the beans had good taste but I thought the potatoes could have been a little browner (my preference). The coffee was good also. There was a gentleman having menudo and he said it was very good. Maybe next time we're in town I'll have some. The young man waiting on us was very kind and friendly. Good service. The place is clean and modest. I would visit this place again.

We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup, chicken and waffles, and the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread. Before I get to the food, I want to recognize the excellent customer service. Since it was my first visit, I had quite a few questions. The employee helping us was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. She walked us through all of the flight options, and let us know that everything was made fresh to order, so there would be a short wait. I appreciated the transparency, and when our food arrived I soon found out it was worth the wait. The standout for me was the grilled cheese waffle with tomato soup. The soup tasted homemade, with bright tomato flavor and generous chunks of tomato throughout. It was fresh, and absolutely delicious. The grilled cheese featured a flavorful muenster and provolone instead of the standard cheddar you find everywhere else, and the waffle itself was crispy on the outside with a perfect gooey cheese pull. My friend enjoyed the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread since I'm not a huge fan of Biscoff. I did try the strawberries and cream, though, and both were excellent. The strawberries were fresh, sweet, and firm, while the cream tasted rich and homemade. The chicken and waffles were outstanding. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and well seasoned, and the waffle had a wonderful texture: light and airy inside with a crisp exterior. It was served with syrup and a remoulade-style sauce. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated with fun murals, word art and nods to Round Rock. For a first visit, Waffle Love made a fantastic impression. The next time I'm in Round Rock, I'll be ordering another waffle flight, probably the same 3 selections, just without the Biscoff spread.
