The bowls and tacos are really good! I've eaten here several times because it's close to me, and my go-to is always the brisket bowl. Overall, the service and ambiance are good. And the red velvet cake is AMAZING!

Fast service and friendly staff makes a meal so much better. The music is always louder than it should be so having a conversation is always a challenge. The Mexican grilled sweet potato could have been cooked a little more. It was almost crunchy (raw) but the toppings added great flavor. Everything else is always amazing.

Velvet Taco in Round Rock just put a little joy in my lunch break. I ordered through Uber Eats because I was starving and didn't have a second to leave the office. I tried the Rotisserie Chicken Bowl for the first time, and baby... this bowl was GIVING. Layers of flavor, fresh ingredients, creamy avocado notes, charred tomato goodness -- it all came together like a tiny choir of angels. And then the queso blanco arrived -- for FREE, might I add -- with those blue corn chips that were crispy, salty, and everything I needed in that moment. The queso was so good it almost stole the spotlight from the bowl. The portion was generous too; I couldn't finish it all and saved it for the next day. And don't laugh, but it tasted even better after it sat overnight. The flavors said, "Let us settle and bless you properly." Would I get this again? Yes, ma'am. Velvet Taco went straight on my "dependable lunch time heroes" list. If you're hungry, busy, and craving something that hits the spot, this is it.

Not your mama's taco joint, I love velvet for a late night dinner. I'm a creature of habit with the Bacon Smash Burger taco on a lettuce wrap but am often tempted with the WTF (Weekly Taco Feature). The queso is always on point and the tacos are made fresh so no stale food or heat lamp warmed tacos. They also added bowls to the menu which I've not tried yet but looks interesting for sure. Maybe next week. The round rock location is open until 2 on Fridays and Saturdays, midnight on Thursdays and 11 the other days with ample indoor and outdoor seating available.

I got a to-go order from Velvet taco located on I35 in Round Rock. I have tried Domain location before and this was the 1st time at the Round Rock location. I got the Birria taco, chicken Tikka, and pork taco. All came very well packed and tasted amazing. They are pretty filling tacos.

I started getting the new protein bowls from here and they're great! I have tried the rotisserie chicken and the steak one. They're so tasty and a good portion as well. I love their tacos too and the elote with lime is my favorite dip. I've had velvet for a while now. Different locations as well. This is the closest to me and I do order from here a lot. I need to go inside the location to know service and general vibe, but the food is definitely worth it.

What a great experience! The food was very good! The curry aioli on their fish tacos was on point. The place was clean, the wait for the food was not long. When the staff member found out it was our first time there, she was so kind enough to gift us a slice of their famous red velvet cake!

This location is right off the highway and easily accessible. They offer a drive through which is very convenient, but there are also options to dine inside or outside. The employees are friendly, and food is always fresh. Additionally, they also offer alcoholic beverages to go(I strongly recommend the margarita swirl with a Grand Marnier floater). This is a casual laid back spot, that can be enjoyed by the entire family!!!

A friend suggested we have lunch here, after having enjoyed the food at another location in this chain. There are quite a few unconventional taco varieties at Velvet Taco. There are also bowls, which have contents similar to the tacos, along with a rice base. The menu is posted on the way in, but there weren't any prices on it when we were there. Ordering is done at the counter, then your name is called to pick up your food. Water and soft drinks are self serve, but there are also alcohol options. Our food was ready fairly quickly, but the place wasn't busy at the time. There is seating both indoors and out. It's mostly uncomfortable, so you won't want to linger. Between the ambient music and live surfaces, conversation isn't easy. Still, I very much enjoyed my shrimp bowl. It had an ample quantity of tasty ingredients for the price and made a great lunch. I would definitely do a repeat.

Parking is pretty easy: a good amount of parking on in a small lot and on the street, but there's always available spots due to the low amount of traffic in the area. The place is small with only 6-ish tables, but again, not a lot of traffic, so there's usually a few tables available if you're dining in. The staff is super nice and friendly. They have a nice variety of tacos, with a bunch of classic and modern versions. My go to order is the Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and the chips and salsa. The Al Pastor is one of the best versions I've had, with pineapple chunks enhancing the flavor from the crispy pork. The barbacoa is tender and fatty, an big punch of flavor. The red salsa that is super spicy as well. A bit too spicy for me, but has wonderful flavor. This place is looking to be our newest default taco place.

This unfortunately did not meet or exceed any... i came in with none. We ordered Quesabirria tacos. My wife got the order with the beans and rice... rosarita beans and mediocre rice. The consome/ soup type that you dip the taco into had garbanzo beans ... what in the culinarily missapropriated food item was that In MEXICAN food!!!???? The overbearing music that cuts out every 16 notes is obnoxious and loud. They have a few TVs for games, but doesnt seem like there was any thought as to placement. I noticed they had some new menu items and was excited to try the milanesa de res plate (as clearly written on their board). The waitress, a very nice young lady, took my order with no problem. But shortly after, she came back saying the cook told her that the milanesa could only be made with chicken. I showed her the board, which listed both beef (res) and chicken (pollo). This led to several servers having to check and communicate with the kitchen, which felt unnecessary and just made the wait longer -- I was simply hungry and didn't want the extra back-and-forth. Eventually, our server explained that milanesa de res is only available in tortas, but then added they were actually out of beef anyway. I accepted that and asked for a side of rice instead. About 10 minutes later, she returned saying the cook had decided they would go ahead and make the milanesa de res after all. At this point, I was frustrated -- why say they didn't have it, then later say they could make it? It really felt like the kitchen was making up rules as they went, which is not fair to the customers or to the servers. The only positive part of this visit was our waitress. She was kind, patient, and clearly just trying to do her job, but the disorganization and inconsistency from the kitchen left a very bad impression.
