Chorizo, arepas, Aguardiente Antioqueño, Jet, Hit, papitas de pollo, choco ramo... we found it all here. Never mind the high price cuz we know it's super hard to get some of these things in the US. The staff are all helpful, the store is laid out well and organized by country which made our trip way easier. The store was also clean and smelled good, local food vendors were outside selling home cooked empanadas, arepas and lechona. Glad to have stumbled across such a well stocked store even if it set us back $250, lol.

Food wise, this store has aisles and aisles of Latino heritage products from various countries. There's products from Peru, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and so much more As a chef, this place is ingredient heaven I also tried the chicharron that's available to purchase by the pound. I was full from lunch, but whenever there's pork chicharron, I have to try it. Truth be told, I was disappointed. This chicharron was very dry and didn't have the crispiest skin, if that makes sense. The feel.of the store very alive with an array ethnic backgrounds doing their shopping. I thought this provided a unique vibe. My girlfriend is Peruvian, so we went for some Peruvian ingredients, which were quite bountiful. I'm still learning what ingredients are used in Peruvian cooking, so it's always an educational experience for me to look through the aisles of dry goods. This store also has a freezer section for hard to find imported items. So, if there's something specific to your needs, this might be the place for you.

Everytime we go to a bigger city then where we leave we love to look up a Hispanic market where we can get international snacks. I'm half Colombian and I used to live there so when I run into snacks I am a happy camper! Everyone in that market is super friendly! The service was great. It was nostalgic going around the Colombian section which was huge and reminiscence snacks that I remember eating when I grew up there. If I'm in the San Jose area, I will definitely go back!

I've been purchasing directly from the owner of the company for a few years and I've always been…read moresatisfied with the quality of the meat, chicken, and seafood. My family and I eat a lot of meat and chicken and we have friends over for barbecuing all the time. The steaks are prime, thick, and free of hormones and they're grass-fed. The taste of the meat is heavenly. I eat at Vic Stewart's and Ruth's Chris occasionally and their steaks are not even close to these steaks from Z-Best. And the cost for the steaks is cheaper than Costco and these guys have free delivery. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. Whenever I need more stuff, I call them up and they deliver the same day.

The salesman came to my door at right about 5pm out of breath and in a hurry. He spoke very fast…read moreand was running back and forth to his truck. He said the beef was top grade and grassfed. It looked really nice in it's packaging and is nicely cut and thick. The chicken was of course free-range, from petaluma and the best available. Also packaged really nicely and some pre-marinated. He offered what seemed to be an amazing deal, but reality is it's way overpriced. By the time you actually do the per pound math it's outrageous! And....once you eat it you know for sure it's not grassfed or free-range!! I've ordered grassfed beef directly from a ranch in San Juan Bautista and it had a different taste and texture than the beef you can buy at the store. The beef from z-best didn't even compare. That being said the beef was good, it just was not worth the price I thought I was paying for grassfed beef. The chicken...we tried the lemon-herb marinated chicken and couldn't even eat it. The texture was just weird!! We also tried the Chicken Cordon Bleu it just tasted totally processed and unnatural. I find it extremely odd that they never happen to have brochures on hand and have zero information available on the web. I would expect they would have a website with more information on their "high quality" meat!! I'm extremely disappointed and will not be buying from them again. I feel like I was scammed.
