The selection covers everything you could possibly need, from international products to everyday household essentials all under one roof, the kind of variety that makes any other grocery store feel incomplete. What keeps me coming back just as much as the products is the staff. Many of them have been there for years, always friendly, always consistent, always making you feel genuinely welcomed. I needed some grape leaves and other ingredients for some traditional dishes, I grew up with, for the holidays. My go to store for that is the international food bizarre. They have amazing selection of spices, meats, breads, produce and more. The shelves are neatly organized. I love the fresh pita bread and lavash that they sell. I found my favorite brand of grape leaves. I also found the pomegranate syrup I needed and the orange blossom water for my Basbousa. They had a nice selection of fillo dough. My favorite brand is the Apollo fillo dough. I got a few boxes of that for my Armenian Paklava. And I couldn't leave without getting some fresh bread. I talked with Eddie, the owner, for a bit. He's so kind and if there's something you can't find, he'll help you get it. It's always a pleasure shopping here. They have the best international food items and excellent customer service. I've been coming here since I was little, and the staff known me for years. Everyone is always super friendly and greet you with positive attitude. They have fresh meats, herbs and all ingredients you ask for. I've tried their shawarma before and it was very delicious. This place is a staple in Cambrian, people come from all over San Jose to find what they're looking for. They have so many different products from all over the world you won't find at a lot of places. I love that they support local businesses as well. I know I can always find whatever fruit or produce I'm looking for here that may not be common elsewhere and for good prices. My friends gave me warning for being over charged before going to the store so I was paying attention when the employee was scanning the items and he noticed it. I paid $100 in cash and I received $5.63 back. I checked the receipt as I was walking out. The receipt showed change back of $7.63. I was shorted $2. I went right back inside and presented my receipt and the change back. The employee apologized and gave me back $2. I should mention that they were not super busy at all. 2 star is for not trusting the check out process. I will go back there again for shopping with full attention to scanning and checking the receipt. The management needs to work on gaining the public trust back. A week ago my grandma bought a box of dates from this store for Iftar. We had been eating them for several days without noticing anything unusual. Today, one of our guests bit into a date and found a worm inside. It was absolutely disgusting. After that, we started opening the rest of the dates one by one and almost all of them had worms inside. This is extremely concerning, especially since dates are commonly eaten during Ramadan. Quality control and proper storage should be a priority. Very disappointed and honestly shocked by this experience. What's even more alarming is that the box did not have any expiration date on it. Great place for halal meat with a good selection. I came in on Christmas Eve and the place was PACKED!! I wanted a large tri tip and the butcher offered to cut me a custom piece! This place is not what it used to be after the old owner passed away. I went there today after months of staying away from this place to give them one more chance. I love Coming to this grocery store for a variety of wonderful dips, sauces and groceries. Habibi this place has halal meats! Love coming here for some quick grocery shopping. It's not where I get my staples but some great unique items are available. Try the mortadella with pistachios it's amazing. They also always have great heirloom tomatoes. On your way out don't forget to get the lamb gyro plate and Ghormeh sabzi for dinner! What a great place to find all your Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine needs. The place is huge and the choices run the gamut from Egypt and Iran to Greece. The service is quick and friendly and I could literally spend hours shopping here. The prices were decent as well. They've got a little togo restaurant inside that I believe served Iranian food but I've yet to try it. Maybe next time. read more

I love this grocery store! They always carry really fresh and well priced produce and it's the perfect spot for Arab sweets and ingredients that I can't find other places. The service is quick and staff are very helpful. It's a smaller store so things can be found quickly even when it's a little crowded. They also have some kabobs that make for a good, quick dinner. The grocery store overall is great! A ton of things to look at and choose from. Aisles are well stocked and the meat and produce looked fresh. Very friendly and helpful employees. The store has a separate kebab deli. There were some prepared hot foods in the heated section but if you order a kebab, they make it fresh in 10-15 minutes. One plate has enough food for two meals (or one meal if you're super hungry!). Everything was seasoned perfectly even down to the rice. Be warned though - there was some very pungent onion on the plate. If you're sensitive to onion then be sure to ask for your meal without it. Many of the items you purchase are listed under vague, general labels like "produce," "pastry," or "nuts," which makes it harder to track exactly what you bought. Overall, though, it's a great place for both fresh produce and Middle Eastern staples. 100% one of my favorite restaurants. Please note this is take out only and not a sit down restaurant. They are phenomenal at grilled meats and veggies. The rice is fantastic and I have not tried better tzatziki sauce than here. When ordering a plate, there is rice for days which freezes well and can be eaten at latter times. The koobideh & lamb chops are SO good. These can be ordered al a carte which I recommend since one plate is plenty of rice even for 4 people. I wish I could order single veggies instead of having a mixed kebab. It can be hard to call ahead and order as there is a long phone wait time. I'd rather come in person and order since I can browse the store or next door Honey Bakery. The staff are super friendly and never impatient when answering my endless questions the first few times I went here. This has become a staple in my restaurant choices. Oooooo I love this place for all foods international. From Arab, to Turkish, Persian to even Indian this store has a variety of breads, tons of cheeses, lots of teas, sweets, halva, oils, pastas, syrups etc and they are meh price wise. Produce for the most part is pretty good but also maybe a little more pricier than a Trader Joe's or Real Produce (I.e cilantro is $1.29 or $1 but I've seen $.79 typically, onions are $1). They also have a great selection of halal meats, fresh imported cheeses and beef mortadella or jambon (they have the best quality of this in San Jose Area hands down) per my Persian bf. Staff is always SUPER nice, store is VERY clean and I've rarely come to find they're out of stock of ANYTHING. If you're looking for any Middle Eastern candies you may also find them here. I found some chocolates local to Turkey offered here that were made by nestle and have pistachios in them. read more

I've been shopping in this mom and pops place for a while now. Yesterday my wife came home upset with our daughter after shopping here. They're were two employees arguing loudly with each other. My wife told them that she was very upset with their behavior in front of my daughter. She is right this shouldn't be happing. I believe she heard the name Jeff a American guy in his 60s I am very disappointed with your customer service and staff behavior this shouldn't be happening while we are trying to shop for our weekly grocery.
