I only glanced at the regular menu because for Edmonton Dining week, there was a choice between two meals - homemade soup of the day followed by the buttermilk and panko crust crunchy sandwich served with fries. The second was a spring mix salad topped with balsamic reduction and parmesan cheese followed with two sausages from Irving farms on a bed of caramelized onions and fennel. Looking at the regular menu, there was nothing particularly standoutish described. A lot of the basic appetizers and burgers and typical sandwiches. However, our Edmonton Dining menu looked more interesting to me. This experience was really a hit and miss. Definitely the highlight was the sausages and fennel with onion. Moist and flavourful with a lovely complement of sweet onions and fennel. Definitely a dish worth having. The soup and salad were fine, but nothing special to note. The crispy sandwich was disappointing. I don't think that the deep fryer was hot enough, so what occurred was a really greasy condensed chicken in between a bun. I definitely would try it again to see what is on their usual menu and perhaps go for after work cocktails. What I see is a lot of loss potential for this restaurant. It is a gorgeous and unique building, and if they took that and went with a menu of retro classics perhaps it would be more than 1/4 full at any given time. I followed tracking religiously with Canada post but there was no update then suddenly it said it was delivered to the front door of my apartment. It isn't physically possible to deliver to the front door of my apartment we have a locked mail area where your packages go so this wasn't true, and on top of that I was home all day, even spoke to the mail carrier asking if my package had come which it hadnt. I go all over asking all my neighbors and I figure I'll wait because international tracking can be funky sometime. Weeks go by and Usps and Canada post put the seller and I through the ringer and made us run around in circles arguing about who was at fault but the seller has gone out of his way to resolve the situation and provide me with a replacement and understood my frustration with the situation completely and accepted my apology for my upset. I cannot explain how grateful I am to have found this shop and have spoken to such a kind understanding business owner who wants the best for his customers. His customer service and kindness made the whole ordeal worth it and made me sorry for my over emotional reaction to the posts mistake. At the time of purchase, there was no clear indication that the business was no longer operating. Delivery was expected by May 27, 2026. As the date approached, I attempted to follow up on my order. I first called on May 19, 2026 to inquire about a tracking number, but was unable to leave a message as the voicemail box was full. I subsequently attempted to contact the business multiple times by both phone and email. Between May 19 and May 29, I called a total of seven times and sent seven emails to request an update on my order. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response whatsoever to any of these attempts. Given the complete lack of communication and failure to fulfill the order, I had no choice but to submit a dispute on June 1, 2026. This experience has been very frustrating, particularly due to the absence of any communication or transparency. I would strongly caution others to be aware of potential issues when ordering, especially if there are signs the business may no longer be actively operating.
