Later that evening, they called with a repair estimate of $2,156 to replace the radiator fan, thermostat, and tires, plus $309 just to refill the antifreeze. When I called to ask about alternatives, they only reduced the price by $20. That felt excessive, so I decided to get a second opinion. I ended up going to NC Complete Auto Care, where the radiator fan was replaced for $881. They didn't charge for refilling the antifreeze and said the thermostat wasn't an issue and did not need to be replaced. They also let me know I could safely wait on the tires for a couple more months. I appreciated the transparency and will be taking my business there from now on. I can't recommend Cary Car Care based on my experience.

No call or text Wednesday 10/23/24 so I called at the end of the day and was told they hadn't started working on the car yet but I was in the queue for the work to be done in the morning. I called today Thursday 10/24/24 and they still hadn't touched the car! And that's when the mechanic told me the appt. was for the 30th. I realize it was my mistake on the scheduling but why didn't the check in lady tell me I had the day wrong? And why didn't someone notice yesterday when the car was sitting there all day? And why did they say the car was in queue to be worked on in the morning? I'm on my way out of town for a family emergency and this messed me up so badly. I've been calling all over to see if I could get a rush job on the work. Really terrible service and I will never go back here or recommend them. Update: I appreciate the businesses response but there was another aspect of this situation that bothered me. When I realize the date mistake I asked the guy who answered the phone if they could squeeze me in. He said: if someone who has an appointment doesn't show up or cancels we can get you in. But I can't make any guarantees. I kind of expected that he'd try to see if he could accommodate me but he just said sorry...can't do anything. And I would feel differently if he had at least shown some empathy.

I called to let them know that I would be switching out wheels and lug nuts also so I was charged an additional $40. All good with me. After my service I was charged another $40 for what I believe was Tesla tax but oh well. But that was fine too. I drove approximately 35 miles and I start to hear a weird click and rumble. I pull over looking around and soon realized some of my lug nuts can be removed by hand... that was my run making that noise. I hope my new aluminum wheels will be ok. I call them and they ask me to bring it in, in which I tell them I'm not driving it. So they send their service guy with his electronic impact which he stated could have had a dead battery the day before. He says that he knows the torque spec is 129 ft-lbs. He tightens again with the same impact and leaves saying that it could be my lug nuts. That night, I made sure to buy a torque wrench and a socket to tighten my lug nuts myself. Just to make sure it's not my wheel nuts like was stated before, I checked them at home with the wrench set to 129lbs of torque. A good number of them were loose again by the 50 something miles I drove. I drove around for another few days and my lug nuts have not loosened up. I'm just glad my wheel didn't roll off on the highway.

They'll take you back to select which tires you want, they have a range of prices, used, new, etc. they will get your car on a couple of jacks and within 15-20 minutes you're done.
