I stopped by for a quick, free air check and had them examine my tire tread wear right before heading out on some major road-trip excursions. The entire process was incredibly efficient. The technician was fast and polite and made sure all four tires were perfectly inflated and performing exactly as they should for highway driving. The free air check is incredibly easy to navigate. You simply drive onto the property, follow the clear directional signage to the designated area, and wait. Someone will come out to assist you shortly. You do not even need to get out of your vehicle to get your air topped off. At my last tire rotation, I am glad to note that this rotation went better than my prior experience. The service bay crew was highly organized, working with the exact type of speed and precision that originally made me a loyal customer. Just like my earliest visits to this shop, I was in and out of the service bay in no time. The old manager has left and gone somewhere else. It's a real shame. This used to be a great business and now it's just like every other business. Naturally a bit of a wait at very busy times. Love they only do tires, some rims, and natural tire accessories such as TPS. No Alignments, brakes... Always get the road warranty. Never any argument as to why a tire needs repair or replacement. And mine have always still been covered under warranty. My only cost being the road certificate fee to cover the new tire if it needed replacing. One last thing, once your car goes in the bay area rest assured it will be out shortly. Not pulled in and left to sit. Lol okay two things, you can use any Discount Tire to honor your warranty.

I stopped the Discount Tire employee and expressed my displeasure about being waited on and very rudely he said he was sorry but there were paying customers in the store who were waiting longer and they needed to get the stores attention before my tires which wasn't costing anything. Within seconds another employee came out and serviced my tires with the air. I was not ugly but I would caution anyone about using this establishment. EVERY time I go there they do not care about the line waiting to get the air checked in their tires unless you are paying. This is unacceptable, particularly when customers have scheduled appointments. During my most recent visit, I brought in my 2024 Chevy Silverado, which has only 25,000 miles, because there was a nail in the middle of the tire tread. I was told that the tire could not be repaired because the tires were "bald." This was simply not accurate. The tires were not bald and were in reasonable condition. I was also given the impression that the primary reason they were unwilling to repair the tire was that I had not purchased the tires from Discount Tire. These are the original OEM tires that came with the vehicle when I purchased it, so I found that explanation particularly disappointing given my long history of purchasing tires and receiving service from Discount Tire. I would have gone to the one on 4400 Fayetteville but it was much further away from my workplace, and I have no desire to return to the Wake Forest location again for a 4.5-hour service. The location at 4226 N Roxboro in Durham was closer than both. At 2:20pm, I logged in Discount Tire's Journey Tracker app that I was on my way. I arrived at 2:34pm. There was no wait line to the front desk. I was immediately helped by senior assistant manager Jim (according to his business card). After I described the issue to him, he asked for my car key and said he'd get me squared away. Unlike other Discount Tire locations, he did not accompany me to the car to show him the issue. At 2:47pm, I received an update on Journey Track app informing me that the estimated time of completion for my vehicle was 3:41pm. The waiting area wasn't crowded. At least three seats were available during my time there. However, the counter table had no seats. I needed to use the wall outlet next to it to charge my laptop. So I stood on my feet the entire time next to the table. The wifi was slow. A Google search took at least 5 seconds. Google News wouldn't load at all the first time but then loaded almost instantly the next time. At about 3:02pm-ish, my car was in the service bay. Five minutes later, I was informed that that tire had to be replaced. The informing attendant said that it would be replaced at no charge, which Jim confirmed another five minutes later. The store didn't have the exact model tire so they went with the closest one. All it cost was less than $10 for another certificate of free replacement, and subtracting the price of the original tire (the closest model tire cost less). At 3:28pm, I received a text notification that my car was ready. Within one minute, my car was parked outside and ready to go - the team finished ahead of schedule. I appreciated the great savings on the new tire. Service was good, certainly better than the Wake Forest location. There's one thing the N Roxboro Discount Tire team can do to improve my rating to "great": put seats at the counter table.

Discount Tire's Journey Tracker app actually worked properly this time around (it didn't work at all at Wake Forest). I used it to notify that I was on the way, and of my arrival after I parked at the designated lot. It was about five minutes before the appointment time when I arrived. Despite the day being a public holiday (Martin Luther King, Jr.), the wait time was a fraction of the 5-minute I had suffered at Wake Forest. After the staff member looked at my car, he determined that the tire had to be replaced. Since I didn't purchase a warranty, I paid full price for the replacement. Unlike at Wake Forest, the staff member told me approximately what time the my car would be ready for pickup, and that the technicians worked on my car almost immediately (Wake Forest didn't get to it until almost four hours later). Journey Tracker was updated to show 1) time window of my arrival and 2) estimated completion time. The text message on my phone showed the check-in time of 3:19pm. Like at Wake Forest, 4400 Fayetteville has three bays; unlike at Wake Forest, 4400 Fayetteville were operating three service areas full-time in their bays during the entire time I was there. The waiting area was less than half-full. l returned almost an hour later but didn't wait long to pick up my car. The text message notified me at 4:12pm that it was ready. That was the time that I got into my car and left. Total wait time was less than an hour. Why did I choose 4400 Fayetteville? Because they had appointments available the next day while all the other locations didn't. I was expecting similar crappy services that I had at Wake Forest, but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the case. It restored my confidence in Discount Tire and reaffirmed that not all of their locations are the same. Even though 4400 Fayetteville is out of the way for me, I will consider going back here for future services.

I requested that they have them overnighted because it was totally their screw up . I was told they can't do that . So now I have to wait until they come in MAYBE Friday but probably Monday or Tuesday of next week . That timeframe is bad since I fly out Sunday for a 3 week work trip .
