The nursing and tech staff are an entirely different matter. Every patient is supposed to receive a check from a nurse or tech at least once each hour. A family member was with my daughter almost all of the rime she was a patient. 4-5 hours passed before anyone checked on her in the daytime. Night time checks were even farther apart. I wonder how many patients have suffered a stroke that was missed, possibly resulting in death, certainly a delay of treatment. Pushing a call button is probably impossible when having a stroke. The response to a call button will take 20 minutes to an hour. Last, but not really least, the food is terrible. We took in most omeals for our daughter. Therapist were excellent, kind a caring. The nursing/tech staff spent more time in the nurses station goofing off than caring for patients. It was nearly impossible to sleep through their chatter and laughter.

The PT instructors were very knowledgeable patient and we're not afraid to tell you when you're doing something wrong. That's your job. I said I'll tell you when you do something wrong but they never yell at you. They tell you what you're doing wrong and try to explain to you what you did so you can collect your mistake

This is such a nice rehab facility…read more My father in law was here for about 10 days after foot surgery and we came to visit and picked him up when he checked out. It's less than a year old and everything is pristine, including landscape and upkeep. Staff are SO nice and took excellent care of my father in law. He raved about all of them and he came out in such better shape than the previous surgery, where he did not go to rehab afterwards. It's located in a beautiful suburb area of town with a Whole Foods, Target and tons of others things 2 minutes away. So, if you need to get something for a loved one here it'll be super easy.

The first morning there, she was sitting in her dirty diaper from the night before till almost 12 in the afternoon. Multiple times she has been left in her mess like that for over 17 hours because the staff and nurses would not do anything to help her, even with us requesting it. Multiple staff members told me that they were absolutely not going to change her diaper or take her to the bathroom more than twice a day, and if she does get changed, then she must be in bed the rest of the day since they don't want to have to deal with that again. They do not have enough staff at all. The ratio is 1 nurse and 1 staff member-to-45 patients that need consistent care. That is absolutely insane, and if they were that short staffed, they should NOT have just accepted her. The risk of infection and bed sores is extremely likely at this place. The staff was not helpful and were very rude to the patients and us family members. Also the food looked and smelled horrific, it looked more like prison food. I would never send your loved one here. The director of this facility also completely agreed to the fact that they are extremely understaffed and are neglecting their patients. The director also admitted to continuing to accept more patients even though they don't even have enough staff members/nurses for the patients that are currently there, yet continue to accept more patients that are just getting neglected, and admitted that they just keep taking more patients because they "have bills to pay". So in other words, taking advantage and money from these people in need of help, and allowing them to all get neglected. HORRIBLE FACILITY!! Do your research before sending anyone here, or anywhere, because the owner of this business has bought 7 other locations in Missouri and are all ran terribly just like this location. Good luck to everyone and I really really hope nobody else has to deal with this horrible experience my grandma has to go through and us family members who are desperate to get these people helped and saved from this nursing home.

BEWARE. Sent mother there one week ago to rehabilitate her hip after a partial replacement. Rolled…read moreout of bed and was crawling around the floor dislocating the hip that was repaired. Garden View didn't do an evaluation of the hip. No exam or x-ray but still put her in therapy that day causing extreme pain for mom. Finally, they confirmed with an x-ray over nine hours later that it was dislocated and the center called an ambulance per the administration lead people. I called the hospital that she was being sent to finding out she wasn't there. Called Garden View Rehabilitation back to find out that she was still there. Was told staff didn't know which ambulance service they called, when they called and who called them as no notes were in their system. After 20 minutes on the phone finally found someone who could help. Told them to find another ambulance service since it's been five hours since they called the ambulance and twelve hours since the incident. Because of my call they found another service to take her to the hospital within 25 minutes. If I didn't follow up I don't think my mother would have ever been taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, due to the amount of time it took for her to get to the hospital per the ER doctor she had to have another surgery to repair the dislocation. If I could give them zero stars I would. Can you imagine waiting five hours or longer for an ambulance with something dislocated? She will not be going back to Garden View Rehabilitation...EVER..

She is happy which makes me happy. Mom stays busy with the activities they provide. The staff is amazing. She loves them. The care she receives is top notch.
