The instructors are great, they know a lot about what they are teaching and they have a passion for it. The instructors also participate in the work out, which I admire. Once you've taken one spin or boxing class from Escape, your regular gym spin classes will be boring enough to put you to sleep. Escape uses blacklights because they believe fitness is about how you feel, not how you look. With loud music, high energy, great instructors, you'll finish your workout feeling stronger and more pumped up than ever. Memberships are a little out of my price range but drop in classes every few weeks are totally reasonable. I'll always be a fan of Escape and its unique workout experience.

During that visit, one of the coaches, Javi, made comments that were completely inappropriate for an adult in a position of trust. He told my daughter she "fights like a ghetto Black girl," which is an unacceptable and offensive remark to make to any child. He then had my 13-year-old daughter call me on the phone. During that interaction, he asked her to show him my social media pictures and told her he wanted me to have his babies. I have never met this man in my life. When I gave him no attention, he reportedly told my daughter, "Tell her never mind. She looks like she's an attention-seeking mother." I cannot understand why an adult coach would involve a minor in a personal conversation about her mother or make comments like these to a child. Coaches are supposed to mentor, encourage, and create a safe environment not put children in the middle of inappropriate personal interactions. I sincerely hope UFC Gym Reno takes this complaint seriously and investigates what happened. Parents should be able to trust that their children are in a safe, respectful, and professional environment.

Owners Tish and Marcel go above and beyond in every aspect to help you meet all types of goals. I joined for boxing but they have all types of training and coaches for it. Waking up at 5 am to go get my ass kicked has never been so exciting. Unlike many gyms in town this has such a family feel, so much support across the staff and members. Glad I joined this gym and love what boxing has done to my life. I also forgot to mentioned many boxers from UNR and amateur pros train here, I too hope to someday fight.
