This dentist charged me for a comprehensive dental exam but only did the Xrays. A comprehensive dental exam is more than Xrays and a 30 second look in your mouth. They accused me of skipping out on payment and pushing past the front office when the front office offered to put the $20 payment towards the next visit. And then they billed me for a service they never performed. They are slandering my reputation over a $120 ,service they never performed. I'm being slanderd because I refuse to pay for a service that was never rendered. read more

Run, run, run. If it all possible wait until your dentist is open. Shady people who are dishonest and have questionable dental skills. They didn't take care of our son who needed a root canal because they told us he just needed his gums cleaned. Paid hundreds of dollars only to need a root canal the next week. UPDATE: In response to the dentist, this is an example of lies and blame shifting. The only reason we took our son there is because it was the holidays and everyone else was closed, it was our only option! And our son needed a root canal the same week and also needed an antibiotic two days later because of a high fever from the infection. Unbelievable the gas lighting. Plus they messed up the original xray and hung up on us twice when we asked for our son's medical records. Could go on, but hopefully it's enough for discerning parents to wait a day until other offices open. read more

I was suffering from a root canal that did not take and was told I needed an apicoectomy by other orthodontists. But it would be 4 weeks out! Got in touch with CD and was seen right away, and they were able to re - treat the root canal without surgery and every thing has turned out ok. I really like that they did not rush the healing process and waited before finalizing the procedure. read more

went in with a cyst on my gum, was charged $200 for consultation and X-rays. The so called dentist told me he didn't see any signs of infection and he said it's best to just pull my tooth. Asked if my tooth was bad, was told no it's a perfectly healthy tooth, but I won't have to worry about anything getting caught in that tooth. And he will only charge me $400+ to pull my healthy tooth. He's about making as much money and nothing else. Hot tea compress made it burst and cyst started draining, did it myself and still have my tooth. read more

I had an exceptional experience when it came to my visit at Chapman Dental. I had been having some severe tooth pain and he was referred to me. He was happy to meet me at 9:00pm to do an emergency extraction and he was very patient and accommodating to me. He made sure to prioritize alleviating the pain before anything else. DO NOT go to this guy. He is apparently a con man. He is a poor dentist and an even worse business man. He cannot keep his billing straight. He says he billed your insurance when he has not ! I went to him for a problem with a tooth I had treated in another state. Alex Chapman (I would never call him a Dr./Dentist) treated my tooth and it became infected. I went back to him and told him I thought it was infected. He said it wasn't and sent me home. Dr. Chapman and his staff are fantastic. Don't believe these fake reviews (heck, several of them show that the person leaving the review is from some other state). The staff are fantastic, super easy to get along with, and very friendly. Dr. Chapman is a blast, extremely knowledgeable, and so are all of his staff. I actually really enjoy going in and seeing him! The location is very clean, and has a warm welcoming feeling (definitely not what you get at your typical dentist office). I cannot recommend him enough to be honest, heck, my insurance isn't even in network with them and I still go there because they provide good quality and I'd rather pay a bit more for good quality! read more

Had a root canal on a crowned front tooth today. Dr Chapman was so good explaining everything he was doing and eased my nervousness. He was awesome and did a fine job! I have nothing but good things to say about Chapman Dental. He is a great and very knowledgeable dentist. He is very easy to work with and often gives multiple options and scenarios for treatment plans with his opinion of which is best for you. He is very thorough in his work and will only stop at perfection. There have been a couple of times where he has brought me in a second time to perform more work to get the best result possible. Most other dentists only concerned with money would have sent me on and consider me treated. Chapman Dental is very up front about their billing practices and how they work with insurance companies. Most dental insurance plans will cover preventative maintenance but will only cover a portion of other treatments. Anyone who has struggled with billing to insurance claims either does not understand their insurance plan or how Chapman Dental works to get the insurance to cover as much as possible (and reasonable). They have been a breeze to work with and I have never had any difficulties. I have been going to Chapman Dental for a number of years as my primary dentist. Several of these reviews are from customers who may have only had 1 or 2 visits. Keep in mind that dental hygiene directly correlates to the amount of work a dentist has to do. They are not miracle workers and cannot restore years of damage that you perform on your body. Alex is a great dentist! Unfortunately his office doesn't accept reasonable and customary charges so if they are not reasonable or customary you will still have to pay the entire bill. I have had charges that the insurance company would not cover because they are considered to be a part of the procedure ( crown). I had to pay them. To be honest we have had nothing but problems with the way they handle insurance all together. read more
