On the other side is a small sandy beach for sunbathers, with slightly deeper water ~ but this is not a serious swimmer's beach. Love watching the cornorants & sandpipers out on the sandbars. You can walk all the way to Chapoquoit with great views. One of the best places to watch Sunset over the ocean. Lots of rocks & shells, so bring watershoes.

Falmouth Heights Beach is lovely with soft golden sand. Many families enjoy fun moment on the waters off Falmouth Sound. We love walking on the beach, watching the joggers, the swimmers, boaters, sailors...It is also a dog friendly beach which we Love. Get out if you can and enjoy. Life is good! Life is a beach.

A spectacular, historic beach no matter what time of day. Surf Drive Beach is the site of the Old Stone Dock, attacked during the War of 1812. It was once where "packets" (mail ships) set sail. While part of New England maritime history, it is now more subdued. There's decent parking, it's clean, safe, with excellent views of Vineyard Sound. It reflects the seasons. One can watch osprey, gulls, and cormorants. It's more for relaxation than swimming. Beautiful eastern views.

I booked this way before the pandemic excited based on the reviews. Issues started when I hadn't…read moreheard from them at all about their being open this summer. I emailed them only to found out they were not going to open the inn to guests. They offered the following - "We have an independent garage building on the property with a beautiful, airy 1-bedroom apartment above it that we are happy to move you to. It is quite an upgrade, as it is much larger, has a big balcony and has its own kitchen." She told me they would move us into that space at the same rate as long as we left a good review. Unfortunately we agreed to this and came upon several issues on arrival. 1 - I was told the unit we stayed in was a higher rate but that is not true. You rent it for $1700/week which is ~243 per night (before taxes etc.). We are being charged ~312 per night which was the B&B rate and did not get breakfast. 2 - The condition of this unit is not good. A. There are no curtains on the door that overlooks the driveway or in several of the bedroom and bathroom windows. It presents a significant privacy issue. B. The tv does not work properly. It posts an error message if you try and change the channel. C. The refrigerator is dirty. D. The condition of the bed is horrific. Throwing a cushion on top of an old worn mattress does not make a great place to sleep. E. There is no shower head so the water just sprays all over the place. The bathroom was also very poorly cleaned. 3. You told me you were not accommodating guests at the inn and that is clearly not the case as the parking lot is full and we have spoken to them. Lots of excuses were made. In their defense - they did credit me back the difference in rates. Overall this was just a disappointing stay.
