We went twice in three days. The first experience in the restaurant was amazing. Danielle was our waitress and did a great job. The food was on par for what we expected. Secondexperinece was they can't take a to go order overthe phone and I was trying to plan a meal between events. I ran in and ordered the food asking for pick up in an hour, thirty minutes later our food was done. Again Danielle to save as she sent us a text to let us know the food was done. We had a phenomenal experience last night! We had the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and coconut shrimp for appetizers. Then for dinner we had the filet, salmon, and cheeseburger. Everyone loved the food! Service was great as well! There are some reviews about prices but the quality warrants the menu pricing. read more

Charcoal & Ash was honestly one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. We walked into a half-empty restaurant and were quoted a 40-45 minute wait for a table, so we decided to sit at the bar instead. It still took nearly 20 minutes just to get menus and order drinks. I ordered a whiskey sour that literally smelled like wet dog and somehow tasted even worse. After waiting another 30 minutes to order food, we found out multiple items on the menu were already unavailable including BOTH vegetarian options I opted for, despite this apparently being a newer menu. I ended up ordering a pizza while my husband ordered a sandwich and the whipped feta dip appetizer. Then things somehow got worse. We watched the pizza I ordered get offered to THREE different bar guests and TWO tables before being taken back into the kitchen to sit another 10 minutes. Meanwhile, our appetizer arrived ice cold, with the center still partially frozen. The "grilled" peppers in the dip were freezing cold too. They gave maybe 7 tiny pita pieces for the entire dish. Wasteful, gross, and honestly embarrassing to serve. Eventually the pizza that had already toured the restaurant arrived cold. Then it took another 15 minutes for my husband's sandwich to arrive -- after we also watched staff repeatedly attempt to deliver HIS meal to the wrong tables. The food itself was mid at best even if it had been served properly. My husband's sandwich was half empty, the menu is extremely underwhelming, and the prices are absolutely not justified. To top it all off, the bartender barely checked on us the entire time. Overall: disorganized service, cold food, missing menu items, poor quality, and absolutely not worth the money. Danielle did a great, no, perfect job serving our table and informing us about our food selections. Mom and I both had the GOAT burger with callow fries. Art enjoyed a salad and fried chicken. All food was wonderful. As you could tell from the pictures, the restaurant designer did a splendiferous job on the ambiance. We are looking forward to our next visit. read more

We've been there 5 times now and it just keeps improving. As with any new place it takes staff a minute to run like a well oiled machine but they're in the groove now. We love one of the bartenders, she's just a sweetheart and so good at what she does. I've seen complaints about portion sizes, in almost always have a to go box. I'm not sure how much y'all are eating but we've always had plenty of food. It's a clean, great place to go when you're too tired to cook. Happy Hour has some delicious drinks. If you've been when they opened I recommend trying again. Perfection takes time. read more

I'm only giving this 2 stars because the $70 steak my Husband ordered was cooked right and tender, which is to be expected. The rest, not so much. The server (blonde curly hair) advised us that the chicken lemon rice soup was horrible and that we wouldn't like it. Then advised that they only had 3 salad dressings to choose from (I literally just saw a review from the same day--yesterday--with photos of a salad with raspberry vinegarette. She offered us side plates (we didn't ask) then I watched her walk aimlessly through the restaurant and come back to the table, look at us, then walk away. She came back a couple of minutes later and said that she was so sorry she didn't bring the plates as she got "locked outside of the restaurant", which is clearly a lie and not even a good one. She did not ask how our food was and if she did, I would have advised the below: The blueberry brie sandwich was as hard as a rock. The contents of the sandwich were placed only in the center which was 1/3 the size of the bread. I ended up cutting off most of the half side of the sandwich and mustered it down. I could only taste the brie and I did noy eat the other half sandwich and did not take it home. My daughter's steak salad had 4 slices of steak on it. My advice from another server, bartender, manager, and business woman-- get better staff, match portion sizes to the bread sizes, and speak up to your servers when you overhear them trash talk the own restaurants food. (The Manager was sitting with a man in the next booth over). read more

Not impressed at all. After waiting for over an hour to have our order taken, and then served the wrong item for them to say oh that wasn't yours and take the said order and give it to another table. To still not getting the correct order, being told that they were out of brussel sprouts to having them again. The whole experience was disappointing and the wait ridiculously. They put more of their time in serving the drinks than the food which is a shame. I was excited to try the place with my family since we just moved into the area. When we walked in there was no signs of rather to wait to be seated or not. We waited 45 minutes from the time we ordered our burger and patty melt to the time it was served. The flavor of the burger was unremarkable and the patty melt bread was dry without butter.Only a quarter of the bread was buttere And the talo fries were broken pieces. We had water with lemon. They didn't serve ice with the drinks and we asked 2x for a glass water decanter and didn't get one. I would have ordered a cola but the waitress said the pop machine was not delivered so they had canned soda. I used the restroom and there was no toilet paper in the regular stall. Employee was using the handicap stall and left without replacing the toilet paper. I waited to use the handicap stall. I realize this is a new restaurant, however. They just were ready in my opinion. I was really excited to try this new restaurant but I will Not be going back nor recommend Charcoal and Ash to my friends. read more

First and last visit to Charcoal & Ash. Food prices were more like an upscale restaurant, but the ambiance was more like a sports bar--very loud. Their higher prices don't reflect their service or food that they offer. My shrimp tacos were so greasy that I just ate the insides. I could go on with more issues, but I'll leave it at that. I was very, very disappointed and will not give them a second try. read more
