One of my favorite watering holes in Davison. They have good mixed drinks, a decent beer selection, and I've yet to order one thing I haven't enjoyed food wise. Pro tip: get the spinach dip with pita chips.. it's SO good! They have good ranch, so definitely get some of that. I have always found the Davison hotel to be really good and consistent. The drinks are fairly priced and so is the food. I've tried a couple of their appetizers like their brussels sprouts and tuna found them to be very good. Their salads are super fresh and delicious. They don't skimp on the portions either. While I can eat a whole salad, I am stuffed by the end. The chicken is grilled with a delicious char. It's just really well put together. The place has a really nice atmosphere as well. If you're lucky enough to get a table by the open air, garage door on a nice summer day, it's delightful. It's great sitting around the bar and also on the restaurant side. I feel like the staff could be a little bit friendlier in general, but they're pretty attentive and that's really all I care about. read more

2nd time eating here. First time was okay. We got the artichoke dip (which was good both times), Mac and cheese for daughter, and Turkey Reuben. My daughter liked her Mac and cheese, although I didn't think it was anything special. I wasn't a fan of the Turkey Reuben, although I'm not really a sandwich person (got it to split with my husband). Husband said it was okay. Service was not very friendly and somewhat slow (pretty much no other customers). Came again a few weeks later because my other kid wanted to try it. His burger was over cooked and had a burnt film all around the edges. No ketchup was brought to the table, so we had to wait 10 minutes for our server to come back before my son could even start eating. Our soup came to the table cold. The salsa literally tastes like it was dumped out of a can. My salad had chicken on it that literally tasted rotten. They took it off the bill (it was uneaten), but no apology from a manager or anything. Service was INCREDIBLY slow. We won't be back. read more

Drinks were okay and food was meh (steak tips not hot on arrival, Brussel sprouts charred with very few Brussel chunks - so like Brussel crispy chips, and the spinach dip was a huge layer of amalgamated cheese that was not appetizing - the little dip that was available under the cheese layer was okay). Well when you pull up to the Hotel and look at your wife and say "I hope the service is better than the last 3 times we have been here" and you literally go in and stand by the front door waiting to be greeted for 15 min while the waitstaff walks around standing at their phones or the I-Pads they place orders with and not one person can say hello or we will be right with you. Or hey grab a drink from the bar were busy?!? It is a shame they have spent so much time creating probably the best menu in Davison but spend no time training the waitstaff how to be personable and meet guests with a smile or a hello that it literally cost them local patrons! I have been in 4 or 5 times in the last year and the service gets worse with every visit!?!? If you do get a table the waitresses we've had act like it's an inconvenience to take your order or keep your glass full. read more

Our first time visit to the Davison Hotel for lunch and we absolutely loved it. The beer selection was great probably at least 30 beers on tap.My husband had the lunch special which was grilled brat and chips for five dollars it was very good , I had the grouper tacos on soft or hard shells and they were probably the very best I've ever had. We vacation in the Florida keys and I must say these were as good as any I've ever ,tasted definitely worth going. Well, we are new to the area and have eaten here about 4 other times. Unfortunately on this visit the food was not good. We ordered the chicken tenders and received 4 very small over cooked tenders. The cost for the tenders was $10.99. The chicken salad we ordered had very over cooked grilled chicken. We are very disappointed because it's so hard to find good quality food at a respectable price. Good food, the bartenders are always nice, friendly and smile - especially LaShell & Jade. I usually go there several times a month. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is lately the music is terrible. Yes, I sound like an "old" person but I don't want to listen to borderline metal music while I eat and try to have a conversation. Please pick a different playlist. This place is absolutely horrible!! The women behind the bar who was our waitress was honestly the rudest women I've ever encountered. Older women with shorter blonde hair. Didn't great us, didn't seat us, so we sat our selves and grabbed our menus, slammed everything down and was just plain rude the whole time. Never came back after our appetizer to see if we wanted dinner or also to refill our water. Food was just okay. Spinach dip was a block of cream cheese with watery spinach. Can't say enough good things about the Davison Hotel. We had a luncheon for 35 people after my mother-in laws funeral that was perfect! Susan helped us plan a great buffet that everyone raved about....especially the Mac n cheese, chicken piccata and fresh pita chips and hummus. They closed off one side of the restaurant so we had a semi private area that allowed all of us (from 8 years old to 88) to mingle and catch up. Best of all was the servers. They went above and beyond and we are so grateful to them for making this a special event for our family! I haven't even mentioned the setting in a turn of the century hotel that is just so cool! Highly recommend checking this place out for a date night for 2 or your next large gathering! read more

It's pretty hit and miss. Some food is good and then some stuff seems like they just slapped it on the plate with no effort for the taste at all. One thing that always misses at this place is the service. You can sit at the bar or be sat at a regular booth and the service is terrible. I have gone here almost 10 times. Because I do like the atmosphere and drinks but the workers are most of the time very rude, have no conversation skills, and forget lots of things when you order. The atmosphere is cool. I've heard the food was great. I went in and sat at the bar. First thing I noticed was not a single server, nor cook staff, was wearing a mask. This was the first place I had been to that staff serving public wasn't masked so I was a little surprised. The note on the door said that due to Hipaa and the 4th amendment, patrons could come in unmasked as well. (Not sure how search and seizure works in this case but whatever). Not one person entered that wasn't masked on the way to their table. I ordered a drink. It was ok. Lots of ice. I ordered steak bites that I heard were fantastic ... they were cold and chewy and served with what I thought were fried onions (yay!) but they were just rubbery onions that were breaded or something. The zip sauce was good, but also served cold. My friend had the quesadilla. She asked for ranch dressing which she was pretty sure was french onion chip dip. She liked them except for the bit of gristle (?) she had to spit out. We asked ourselves, are we being to judgey? Maybe we were. Then the bill came. We just spent $40 on a meal that wasn't all that great and service that was slow but accomodating. Was the service good? Not really. Was the food good? Not what I ordered. Was the drink good? Meh. Doesn't look like much when you walk past but the hotel of Davison in Michigan has good food and I've never ate there before The customer service is really well but I've never been inside except for to use the restroom and then the next week I was tying my shoe outside in the guy who was working there offered to help me walk my dog and he said that my dog was a really cute thing when it mouse and he said that it was a very big dog and that me and my dog should stop by more often so next week I'm gonna go there but I might not actually go there because I think I'm going on a trip to vacation for Florida read more

The restaurant is average, much like an Applebee's. Nothing great or bad. I tried the black bean burger which was just a frozen patty. The menu was confusing, they offer burgers, flat breads and a mussel dinner. Why anyone would go here and order mussels is crazy. It is a typical sports bar with lots of choice in beers, sports on the TVs and 70s rock music. People seemed to like it. We were sitting for about 15 minutes because anyone acknowledged our existence. It took forever for our drinks to get to the table and for us to order. It took almost 45 minutes JUST for our appetizers to come. We ended up liking one so we asked to order another and we just assumed it would come with our meal since there was no hope of that arriving soon and we were served our food about 25 minutes later and then by the time we ate boxed up our food and were ready to pay is when the other appetizer came out. It took almost 2 and a half hours just to eat and for that reason I probably won't be returning. I can get similar food everywhere else with waaaay better service read more
