Got food quickly given how busy they were. Chicken is a bit over seasoned and surprisingly thin. Not too many options with lots of protein

It is a classic coney/diner. Excellent Gyros and fries. My kids love the pancakes the best. My husband is a fan of the chicken hoagie.

There are times my French toast is burnt very badly and yet they still send it to me to consume and paying $22/day for food as I ordered daily especially after having surgery and limited to cook I ordered here daily and yet at times my food is severely burned, items may be missing such as I ordered the now $8 French Toast platter and I dont get my sausage links or I order the Greek Chicken Pita and I dont get feta cheese or tomatoes or whatever ingredient they advertise, I pay for yet dont receive. Today is March 8th at 1:00 pm I ordered two French toast platters with sausage links and 6 half slices of French toast. I have to add notes now because at first the cook would only send 4 half slices not fully understanding they offer a half order and a full order and I always order the full order yet they will send me a half order at first until I spoke up about it. So today none of my fullorder french toast platters had my sausage links so I called just to let them know because I understand mistakes happen yet this woman who was not Andrea asked me my name and began yelling at me and cussing at me saying ive put bad reviews everywhere which is my right yet she didnt point out when ive left good reviews which shows me she has selective thinking and extreme poor customer service so she told me to call Al who I guess is the owner which I would love to speak to to inform him of the customer service experience and poor food quality his employees are giving to people who are paying their hard earned money especially me daily and like the restaurant but the employees are being unprofessional and not caring about what food quality or food safety they are giving to others. They raise prices without notice and charge you extra for something that is supposed to come in the meal. Today some of my chicken pita had raw and undercooked pieces of chicken which is a first but I think its because the lady answering the phone had a vendetta against me yet you should have checked the box before bagging it as I have a right to receive the food I ordered and not be yelled at for calling to inform you. I wasnt yelling at you and that doesnt give you a right to yell at me and hang up on me and tell the other young girl to hang up on me too when I agree to talk to Al and ask for his number or for him to have mine. After that call I felt discriminated against. Anyways you dont treat people like that maam you listen and offer a solution. You would be pissed to receive burned French toast or fries how I did on Friday morning but i didnt complain when I had a right to and I mean my French toast was black, fries so hard you cant chew and dark in color. You talk to your cooks, you check boxes before they go out and actually know your menu and the ingredients that go on it. Today You purposely didnt give me my cucumber or Greek sauce that comes with my Greek Chicken Pita. Again thats not professional or how you treat someone. Ive visited this place for 5 years thats how I know Ms Andrea who replaced my chicken pita from a few days ago when I brought it up there to her from my DoorDash. I offered to bring my French Toast up there today to simply get a refund due to being yelled out about THEM not putting my sausage links in any boxes and her and the other younger girl both hung up on me. Luckily DoorDash helped out. Im sure Al himself might not care to contact me, however after being a 5 year customer and ordering nearly everyday, I will take my business elsewhere where quality of food is a priority and professional and great customer service is important and valued. The lady on the phone told me she was busy and had other things to do and I wish her the best, God has a way about handing out karma to the wicked. May she reap what she sows. Matthew 7:12 For poor customer service creating poor food quality I cannot recommend this business.

If you're craving real, old-school comfort food, Grandma's Recipes absolutely delivers…read more We both ordered the fried chicken, which takes about 25-30 minutes because it's made fresh and it shows. The batter is thin, crispy, and not overly heavy, and the flavor feels like something straight out of a home kitchen. This isn't fast-food fried chicken... this is Sunday dinner at grandma's. The meal itself is a lot of food for around $17: four pieces of chicken, real mashed potatoes with homemade gravy, a vegetable, a potato, plus a salad and a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup with those old-school egg noodles. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, not processed or rushed. We also tried the fried mushrooms everyone talks about, and they lived up to the hype. They use large portobello mushrooms, which makes a huge difference. No watery, soggy bite like you get at a lot of places, just a clean, meaty texture with a crispy coating. The atmosphere is calm and cozy. Lighting is dim enough to feel relaxed, and with only about 20 tables, it's not loud or chaotic. No kids running wild or constant traffic in and out, just a laid-back, "take your time" kind of vibe. The space has a log cabin feel with exposed wood, vintage décor, and black-and-white photos. The tables and chairs aren't fancy, but they're clean and fit the nostalgic charm. Service was great during our visit. Our waitress was attentive, checked on us regularly, took our order quickly, and everything came out hot. I've seen mixed reviews about inconsistent service, but our experience (first visit) was very positive. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a win. Between the generous portions, fair pricing, and genuinely homemade feel, this is the kind of place you come back to. They also offer daily specials and make many of their own desserts. I'll definitely be back to try the coconut cream pie. Overall: Comfort food done right, with a cozy, no-frills atmosphere and excellent value.

The turkey they use is smoked and tastes amazing! The gravy smothered over the sandwich and mashed potatoes adds even more flavor. I ordered a side of green beans with the meal, and they tasted good - not canned. The turkey club was ordered without tomato and came out as ordered - it was huge and also had the smoked turkey on it. So good! Coleslaw tasted good as did the cheese sticks. Our server was attentive and kept checking on us. She kept the drinks coming - even after we paid our bill. Love that they check on you, even after you have paid. The inside is still outdated and the seats are not the most comfortable, but that's fine. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. I need to come back here again real soon!

I tipped $15, only to later realize I was also charged an additional 18% gratuity. I don't have an issue with gratuity being added, but it should be clearly stated on the menu or disclosed up front. As I was leaving, I noticed a chalkboard near the door that said gratuity is added after 9:00 PM. It was only 8:30 PM, so I went back inside to question the charge. The waitress told me the gratuity was added because the bill was over $100. That policy was not posted anywhere on the menu or on the chalkboard. As a result, the server was tipped twice. This lack of transparency is unacceptable, and I will not be returning.

It was clean, the beer was nice and cold, and the potato skins were good, but after one round we left. No drink list, no specials, no happy hour. There was one server for the whole place and she was busy. She cashed us out, and not one of the three new servers on the next shift came around (not even looked at us) for us to get another round or asked if we wanted food. It smelled like weed, so after waiting 15 minutes with empty glasses and mugs, we left to go to the burger bar down the street. Disappointed.

When I go to pick up the second half, I noticed there was something in it. It was a bread tag. I said to my friends, "um look what was in my sandwich " the waiter comes and they said to him "look what was in her sandwich." He was extremely nice and polite and said, "oh no! You are not paying for that." Took my plate away. The next thing we know here comes Alex, the kitchen manager, storming to the table callinge a liar and I put it in the food. So I brought a bread tag all the way from Lansing to the Soogy Bottom in Flint just to put it in a burger? That sounds ridiculous! I never even asked for my food to be comped. And the waiter even said, "no, they never asked. That was me." I didn't even expect it to be comped. I was planning on paying full price. Then he said, "good because you are. You are a liar." Then tried to say he never accused me. You just did, by saying I put it in my food to get my meal comped and called me a liar. It escalated into a extremely heated argument. He said, "I am a manager so it's my job to be a prick" umm no sir, that is NOT how a manager should act. I definitely can afford a sandwich and fries. He needs to be fired! That is extremely unprofessional!
