Next day, at the mechanic shop, I was informed I did not pass due to the wrong EFN (Engine Family Number)--yet, my VIN was accepted as valid and directed me to purchase ($500!), on the company's website. After failing to pass smog, I contacted customer service. They were sympathetic and opened a "case number" and let me know they were taking the "return as a courtesy". After a business trip I called customer service on Oct. 19th to arrange the manifold return. They instructed me to return it to their Panorama City location. Oct. 20th I went to that store and a sales associate accepted my return and refunded my money back to my credit card. However, "Manager. Ruben G." appeared and abruptly cancelled the refund, and took back my money! He refused to call customer service (in front of me), even though I explained that customer service had authorized my return. I showed him the email from customer service with the case number and asked him to call and speak with them. He called someone and proceeded to LIE to whom he was speaking with a completely MADE UP story that I was making a Pep Boys warranty claim (a chain I've NEVER done business with) and that my previous return attempt had been on the same day I bought it, Sept. 27th, rather than Oct. 20th, the actual day of my return attempt. When he got off the phone I confronted him about his deceptive story and incorrect dates. He then also refused to accept the return of a separate order (unused Walker manifold) that I had arranged (with custome service), to return as well. I left thoroughly humiliated realizing I was "being set up to take the fall" by a DISHONEST employee. The good thing is that they have them on the first aisle right when you walked inside. They carry a decent amount of brands but I notice the price was on the high side. I didn't see any product that caught my attention so I look at other stuff in the store. The store was busy and had a lot of people in line. Finding parking in the plaza this store is in was also tough. I was lucky to find a spot but it gets filled up quickly.

I decided to move to Arizona and needed a van. I called Enterprise Auto Sales in Reseda California and spoke with the manager. She said she could pick up a 2018 Dodge van with 22,225 miles on it from their Long Beach location. I love this van, it has served my relocation purposes well driving back and forth to Los Angeles six times...four years later I only have 44000 miles on it and will be using for hauling items pickup and delivery. The manager was more than efficient in getting the van to me within one day. The financing was fast and if the same management is as effective as in 2022, I definitely will purchase my next van here since I may be moving back to L.A. not definitively sure, yet. What is really impressive is the five year extended warranty through March 2027...I hope the warranty will be five years on the next purchase.
