I had some wiring issues in this horribly old house and CAF Electrics seemed like a pretty reliable choice. Because of who I am as a person, I gave him a pretty tense runaround regarding scheduling, but we managed to work out a time. He came and was able to fix the problem then and there, very quickly and professionally. He was also able to answer some of my other electrical questions, which really helped. I have no reason not to hire him again next time or pass his company name on to a friend in the area. read more

Out of 20ish electricians contacted to install my Tesla charger, CAF was the most reasonably priced and the installer did an excellent job. I could tell they had installed many chargers and made quick work out of my charger. The job was clean and fast. They even helped me to get the rebate with my power company. read more

I've used CAF twice. Each time it was easy and was very satisfied with the service. Got a quote over yelp set a time the next day and the work was done in about an hour. Joe is super responsive and communicates well. He works with one other electrician each time I used CAF so the work gets finished in a timely manor. His pricing is fair and lives by his quotes. After attempting to replace an outlet myself, I needed to call a professional. CAF Electrics was quick to respond and accommodated my work schedule. Needed someone to do the easiest imaginable job--just checking an EV charger to make sure it works--and got all sorts of outrageously high bids for what was only going to be about 30 seconds of work. Gevorg agreed to swing by while he was in the area, and didn't charge hundreds of dollars for the privilege. I had a very small job that needed to be done (replacing a dimmer switch). I submitted a quote request here on Yelp, and got 5 replies. Not only was CAF 1/3 less on the price, but they were the only ones who could come out quickly ( original correspondence was yesterday afternoon, they came this morning...plus the owner even messaged with me at 11p last night!). I couldn't be more pleased. The 2 employees were early, friendly, professional, and completed the easy job in minutes. The switch they replaced was the only "oddball" one in the house, and the new one now matches all the rest! I am 100% planning on using CAF again for a rewire and additional recessed lighting in my house. They did an absolutely top notch job switching out a NEMA 14-50 I have for a grizzl-e charger. One of my Nest cameras went out yesterday. Bought a new one only to find out that the nest people won't come out to install it due to high voltage reasons. Decided to reach out to a couple electrician places on yelp. Joe got to me quickly and told me he would be able to come and give me a free estimate for installing and hard wiring in the new camera. Joe came on time was very knowledgeable about the product told me he had a job to do and that he would be able to come back the same day with all the needed parts to install. Gave me a fair price came back exactly when he said. Install was done perfect and my wife was very happy with the work because my motto is happy wife means happy life. The only thing was that their quote didn't include drywall repair. I was told it's another dept and I would need to get a quote or I can find my own handyman. Ok how much can it be? Well after the water damage was resolved, I started getting quotes for drywall repair. I found out it was very expensive. In fact, well past the quote from the other places that included drywall repair. If I were to do it again, I would get quotes for the complete work so I can compare apples to apples.

But we had to call the powers washers back because they missed a few spots outside. They had the main interior cleaners come before all the other work was done so we had to ask them to reclean the house (we found a lot of dirt and footprints in the house). There was mismanagement of the workers by the company. Our main agent couldn't make it and the replacement they sent to pick up our check straight up lied and ghosted us. All in all, the job was complete and they were open to redoing work when it wasn't done. So we appreciated that.

I'm all about saving a buck but at the cost of MY premiums & integrity, no thanks. $300 for some friend plumber to create a fake report to send to insurances. INSANE. Never mind the absolute lack of care for your items when they pack them up. I had my succulent plants thrown in with all my jewelry & bathroom items. Absolutely could've and would've love to pack them up myself and put my plants outside if they listened to our request to not start on Friday and to reschedule to Monday. My partner & I were at work as their team entered my home by telling our roommate they were supposed to be there. Ask for an itemized invoice? Crickets. Try to talk about issues? Deflected to the other 3rd company parties they work with while in your house. I asked over and over for an invoice, gave my email multiple times, nothing. Just to get called 4 days before they decided to consider me late by their AR department. 17,000 in 4 days?! (Master bed) Luckily, Zach (their AR team member) was easy to work with and I was able to have an extra week to pull funds. There are so many more details - I will gladly post our text messages and videos (I have cameras in/out). ** Look at EVERYTHING they make you sign, when they hand you an iPad with only a signature window up & they say oh, that's just x document, ask to see that document first. I asked for an estimate over & over to be told they don't do those they just bill your insurance, just to find out I signed some mysterious 20,000 estimate? Absolutely not, especially when they told me it would be around $8,000 if I paid myself and not go through insurance. He explained I was signing a promise to pay if my insurance doesn't cover and a 3 days before quit contract if I change my mind.

He then clearly explained some options for resolving the problem and mentioned their company also fixes leak issues. I decided to hire them again to stop the leak and do some pipe rerouting work. The second appointment was also quickly scheduled, and this time Ron brought his partner Amit for the resolution work. Both Ron and Amit and very knowledgeable and professional, they both demonstrated strong problem solving skills and they work very well together...that in itself was a nice thing to see! Both Ron and Amit provide ideas for solutions that will have minimal damage and be cost effective, which made where to reroute the water line a less stressful decision for me. Like I mentioned above, a major advantage in going with Sherlock is they not only identify the leak source, but they also fix problem. They are skilled and equipped to deal with anything from start to finish, which is very efficient and ideal for the client. Overall my experience with Sherlock was totally great, they identified and solved my problem very professionally, and saved me from a lot of additional stress and cost. Based on my experience working with Ron and Amit, I highly recommend Sherlock for leak detection and resolution and would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends.
