Unfortunately, my experience with the new General Manager, Daniel, was completely unacceptable. On July 31 and August 1, I called to confirm if Frank was working before driving over for my appointment. When I called Saturday morning to double-check, Daniel answered with immediate frustration, saying, "Yeah, you called yesterday, and I told you already." When I tried to explain I was just confirming, he hung up and placed me on hold mid-sentence. When I called back to express that hanging up was dismissive, he told me I shouldn't bring my car to the store at all. When I asked for a manager, he stated he was the General Manager, then repeatedly talked over me until I hung up. As a woman seeking auto care, I already approach these shops with caution. This interaction left me feeling completely unwelcome. It is deeply concerning that this behavior comes from the person responsible for leading the store. My wife took her Ford Fusion there last year because the "check engine" light was on. Natually, she received no return calls, so I phoned them one day and told them, "This is [wife's name]'s husband. We are coming over tomorrow to pick up her car, which she brought in several days ago. Kindly have it ready for us." I drove her over there, and they returned the car without any fuss (we just showed them the paperwork). In fact, they hadn't done any work at all on it, so there was no charge. (Not that I wouldn't have disputed it if there had been.) You'd think that was the end of it, but a couple of days after we got her car back, my wife needed to put something in the trunk. She opened it, and there were several boxes of computer paper! Not only had Galpin done no work on the car, they casually used it for storage. I suppose we could have just kept the paper (or given it away), or at least charged them a storage fee, but we decided it wouldn't be worth the bother. We returned the paper to them.

I stopped in a couple days beforehand and ended up chatting with Alex about the upcoming service, since I had a bunch of notes in the online appt reservation that didn't get saved. He confirmed they didn't transfer to the system, so he gave me a couple options other make sure the list of items I needed was included in my ticket. I also spoke to Kenya who was helpful in making sure that my notes were included in the ticket. Long story short, they went the extra mile in my opinion and were very accommodating to ensure that everything I needed was done, and nothing I didn't need was done (since I already performed five or six of the main service items myself earlier in the week). I'm pretty particular/meticulous with my vehicle maintenance, but Alex and the team at NoHo made me feel comfortable taking my vehicle there, and delivered. The battery died in November 2023 right before the two year warranty was up. They are supposed to replace the battery with a new battery so why is this battery already worn out and its only been 9 months??? Something isnt right. I mean I would at least expect the battery to last a year, until December, honestly two years but a new battery dying in 9 months, what is the deal? The manager said it was nothing he could do, he was bound by the system. I am so tired of hearing humans say they can't do anything beyond what the computer allows. Who is in charge? A CAUTIONARY WARNING REVIEW: BEWARE. I'm a senior who was advised to purchase an after-market…read moremanifold via (this company's) website; Prompted to Enter my VIN number in their online system, I found a CA carb compliant manifold, that is an EXACT FIT, available at (their) Panorama City store which I bought on-line and picked up the morning of Sept. 27th. Next day, at the mechanic shop, I was informed I did not pass due to the wrong EFN (Engine Family Number)--yet, my VIN was accepted as valid and directed me to purchase ($500!), on the company's website. After failing to pass smog, I contacted customer service. They were sympathetic and opened a "case number" and let me know they were taking the "return as a courtesy". After a business trip I called customer service on Oct. 19th to arrange the manifold return. They instructed me to return it to their Panorama City location. Oct. 20th I went to that store and a sales associate accepted my return and refunded my money back to my credit card. However, "Manager. Ruben G." appeared and abruptly cancelled the refund, and took back my money! He refused to call customer service (in front of me), even though I explained that customer service had authorized my return. I showed him the email from customer service with the case number and asked him to call and speak with them. He called someone and proceeded to LIE to whom he was speaking with a completely MADE UP story that I was making a Pep Boys warranty claim (a chain I've NEVER done business with) and that my previous return attempt had been on the same day I bought it, Sept. 27th, rather than Oct. 20th, the actual day of my return attempt. When he got off the phone I confronted him about his deceptive story and incorrect dates. He then also refused to accept the return of a separate order (unused Walker manifold) that I had arranged (with custome service), to return as well. I left thoroughly humiliated realizing I was "being set up to take the fall" by a DISHONEST employee. I'm now stuck with $1100 in parts I cannot use and posting this review so others will not have to suffer the same consequences
