It helped me understand where issues were and what needed immediate attention. After my exam, they noted that I had an additional cleaning available through my insurance if I wanted to use it - and I did! I appreciated them pointing that out to me, otherwise I wouldn't have known. I was nervous about having cavities filled since I've never experienced it before. Despite years of Invisalign, multiple bite guards, and countless visits to different dentists, things only got worse. My condition was never taken seriously. Room-temperature water hurt to drink. Even slightly cool air hurt to breathe. I felt hopeless and believed I would live in pain forever. Thankfully I was recommended to Dr. Aydin and Dr. Mossad's clinic and listening to them was the best decision I ever made. Where most dentists dismissed my pain or insinuated that I was dramatic - Nyman/Monica did the opposite - they listened and respected my concerns while remaining objective in their clinical analysis. After much deliberation and several consultations, it was agreed that my teeth were not in a state that was recoverable by normal means and that the only real solution was a full mouth rehab. It was refreshing to see them take all options into consideration and recommend the correct choice - not what was easiest for me to avoid scaring me away or what made them the most money. Despite knowing this was the only real solution I was still terrified. I have the most sensitive teeth on the planet so the prospect of crowns on almost every tooth was so scary I was paralyzed by fear. She had many alternative methods in her way to approach dentistry including ways of taking X-rays including CBCT.
