However, at some point-- I had to change dentists (maybe my original one left the practice?) and was informed that I URGENTLY needed a crown. Something in my gut told me to get a second opinion-- and surprise, surprise -- my tooth is perfectly fine. A little discoloration, but no crown needed. Apparently, my only real problem was walking into a practice more interested $ than caring for its patients. This place gave major "scammy car mechanic" vibes -- which left me with a BAD taste in my mouth-- pun intended.

We were brand new to Towson in mid June and my wife's TMJ started acting up, bad. I called around to some local TMJ specialists and she was scheduled for appointments in August or November. That didn't help her now. Despite not having a TMJ specialist on staff, Valley Dental Health agreed to see her the same day I called. They took her in and gave her an exam. They wrote her a script to help deal with the pain and offered some people that she could follow up with for additional assistance. One of those people was able to see her within a day or two. While Valley Dental Health couldn't assist my wife with her specific issue, I appreciate how they brought her in and examined her in a timely manner, provided a temporary solution and offered some referrals that got her on the road to recovery.

I called my insurance to give me a list of doctors and every office I called seemed irritated that I called, very little patience. I found Dr. Ford on Yelp and took the previous review as a good enough reason to give him a try. I am so glad I did. I called to set up an appointment and the woman I spoke to was incredibly kind and patient. Scheduled me to be seen in a short time and even made my follow-up appointment at the same time. I felt at ease! The day of the appointment there was no waiting, it was a friendly and clean atmosphere and everyone was nice! It's hard to find that in healthcare professionals. Dr. Ford is knowledgeable, caring, patient (and I needed that) and honest. He let me know all the options available to me and let me decided.
