I had the BEST experience here! Michael was amazing. First of all, he pumped my gas, and then I saw they had a garage, and so I shared with him that I was having an issue with my headlight. These guys come through in a day when you can't quite make sure if reviews are real or fake. Chuck, his daughter, and his crew took care of my son and I when his car engine expired and I had to come down to LIU campus to help my son out. They worked with AAA (they do not flatbed for AAA but another service did) and received the car and diagnosed the engine failure within 2 hours (was a ruptured manifold / coolant leak that hydro-locked engine). The operation could not have been more accommodating and helped tackle title / car salvage on his 2004 Impala (not worth engine replacement second time). Honest businessmen are a dying breed nowadays especially when it comes to the car business, however that is not the case at Charles Schmidt's shop. After having an issue with my car, I was upset and didn't know what to do since I figured I'd be ripped off by someone. I spoke to Chuck and his shop got my car from the lot I had it towed to and took care of everything for me. He really saved me from a big headache and personally made sure my car was good to go after his guys fixed it. He doesn't overcharge and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and was always available for any questions I had. Remote from home started car, greeted by tire pressure low indicator. Drove to fuel only station 200 yards where I was able to fill tire with air; during process discovered air leaking from broken tire wall. Gas only store owner directed me to next corner (100 yards) where I discovered Chuck Schmidt and daughter Lindsay who had loaner tire mounted, as they didn't stock tire brand/size for my Kia but would have 4 replacements next morning. Turned out all tire treads at "replace warning", and as leased vehicle upon returning to dealer I would be responsible for cost of same brand/model tires with excessive wear, all 4! The Schmidt's sent me home with cost of tires and mounting - no charge for loan and mounting of temporary tire. Next day replacement accomplished at fair cost. They're honest, nice, consumer oriented owners in a business where the byword is buyer beware. I will return for next required maintenance although Chuck and Lindsay's service station is too many miles from home, but they earned my loyalty. read more

When Rallye swore to me that I had a cracked rim that would require costly replacement I took the car 1 mile away to Schmidt. Now Chuck could have agreed with Rallye Mercedes and simply beat their price to gain my business. But instead he was HONEST. He was TRUTHFUL. There was no damage to the rim at all!!!
