My husband called them at 1:57pm. They called back at 2:02pm and the heat pump was fixed by 3:26pm. He first said that they would come by tomorrow (Friday) but then he asked my husband how old he was. When he told him that he was 82 the owner, James Riggins, said he would be right over! Super nice. Hey all. I'm not sure if 5 stars can tell the story accurately enough…read more I've had Morgan at Upstate do repair work for me, AND I've had him replace my systems as well. My two cents - While he may not walk in the door looking like a model wearing a white dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up, he's nothing short of amazing! Technically very capable, fast, and extremely fair and honest as well - As service providers go ... he's the best you'll find. o This may not seem like much, but never once has he tried to upsell me anything I didn't need or want. o I had him do a repair at my mother-in-law's house. The original installer had been out to 'fix' the 3yr old system FOUR TIMES over the course of a year. Tired of ignorance, I called Morgan out and the system has worked perfectly ever since. o I've had him repair an ancient (1980's) system at my office - while I only needed a few more months out of it, it was good to have heat in the winter! o And later I had him replace the system at my office and at my house as well - both jobs done professionally and, I might add, at a decent discount to what others had quoted me. o Finally, I just had him out to replace the system at our mountain cabin - amazing. Did his damndest to schedule an emergency replacement to my spec and on my time (before the next day's 85deg weather hit), and never once complained. After checking the basics like tripped breakers, etc. and found nothing. Bernco Solutions had replaced all our HVAC ductwork during repairs after Hurricane Helene and did an outstanding job so I gave them a call. After a brief hold I was told that they would work me in sometime during the day but couldn't say exactly when so I scheduled service and pulled out the fans. Less than an hour later they called and said they would arrive in about fifteen minutes. Service tech Drake arrived a short time later and began his diagnosis. After just a short time he reported that an A/C compressor capacitor had failed and he quickly made the repairs. My HVAC was back online in a total time of less than 45 minutes with the service call and repairs costing far lower than I expected. Courtesy, quick service and competent repairs were exactly what I received and I am very grateful!

I absolutely recommend Bentley's without any reservation. We first used them for twice-yearly…read moremaintenance for 4-5 years due to having very old heat and A/C systems. They give great service, often the same-day or next-day, and were very knowledgeable and honest with me about keeping my systems operable as long as possible. When we finally decided to replace them, we got multiple quotes, of course. Bentley's cost was the lowest, and one of "the bigs" in town had their lowest quote literally twice what Bentley's was! That said, they had priced in replacing all ductwork which I didn't ask for - this really felt like a ripoff attempt, so I chose not to pursue further quotes from them. Bentley got the job done in one day, including replacing just the ductwork for the returns, and cutting two new returns. Our new systems work great and are much more efficient than the old ones. We hired them back again this winter to resume twice-yearly maintenance, and they quickly fixed a little rattle we had noticed. I was also pleasantly surprised that the annual maintenance cost had not been increased, unlike just about every other price around us these days. A native Greenvillian friend had recommended this company to me, and after working with them, I know why, and I recommend them too. Definitely worth at least getting a quote from them. Very honest, very good at the work, reasonably priced, just all around a great experience. It's so refreshing to have a vendor you can rely on.

We had a reliable & HONEST, Knowledgable HVAC person, unfortunately he passed away and we are now looking for a new, reliable, honest HVAC company. I read yelp reviews most of which were positive for this company. Later we find out the positive reviews were before the company was bought out 2 weeks prior to our appointment. Anyways, we called... the first person that answered said we couldn't have an appointment for a few weeks, but we needed someone to service our units ASAP so they agreed to send a person out the next day. This person they sent was nice, however the spring service provided was unlike any other spring A/C service I have ever had before and not in a good way. When asked if the coolant would be checked i was told "it seems good, it feels cold" every tech previously hooked up gauges and actually checked the pressure and added if needed, but here I was told the "boss man would need to come out for that" and oh yeah, I would also need to pay an additional service fee for that to happen (I understand and expect to pay for additional coolant to be added). I mentioned that I heard a noise similar to the noise the other unit made when the capacitor went out, I was also told I would need to pay an additional service fee for the "boss man to come out". To sum it up, I was expecting an HVAC professional to come service our units, checking the motor, wiring, capacitors, voltage, etc. as we have had in the past. What we ended up with is paying somebody $238 to squirt the units off with a hose and telling us we would have to pay more and schedule another appointment for a real HVAC professional to come out.
