Friday special says $5 Sam & Sam seasonal, we asked the waitress if the special was active and she said "if the menu says it, then it is"; when we received the checks the drinks came up as $8 and when I asked the bartender, he said "no live music, so no special." While we didn't eat food, the food coming out looked really good. They had live music and he was playing 90s country (doesn't get better than that!) The bar wasn't too crowded but there were people. Our waitress was super nice and was giving us recommendations of where to go. Overall, this was a great bar that would easily turn into our hangout if we lived in Charleston! I had the worst service this morning. The attending staff provided horrible service starting with not answering my question straight forward regarding how long it would take for my order to be made (I had a flight to catch). She kept saying "not long," when I asked for more specifics. She refused to come to my end of the bar to take my order. She just yelled at me from afar. Then she asked me to come to the register to pay (when there was an option to bring my bill). Lastly, when my order was up, she told me to get it out of the window. She had such a nasty disposition, however, when the next customer came in, she greeted him and told him about options. He sat in the exact seat I was in before getting up to pay. I left zero tip. Super Fun. Great Staff. Good Vibes. We stopped in Charleston Beer Works for a Sunday NFL game and had a great visit. The staff was friendly and helpful with craft beer selections. The bar had 50 taps for mostly local Charleston area craft beers and a few craft seltzers which was superb. The two floor and patio bar was bright, nicely decorated, and in a great downtown location. Teriyaki flavor was sweet and lemon pepper was salty. "Tacos Mexcellente" were two tacos - shaved ribeye, seared tuna, or chicken) with mango habanero, citrus cream, peach pico, & sesame seeds. I ordered shaved ribeye, but the texture was more like tender ground beef and pretty greasy. There was grease/liquid dripping with each bite. The tortilla was good, appeared to be a little toasted. In my opinion, the taco just has too much going on. It was hard to focus on one flavor (if that makes sense lol). The printed menu is more up to date than Untappd, which is weird sinc either should be the other way around if you are a verified venue but otherwise, flights of 5oz pours made me happy. This is a great sports bar to watch a game at. They have plenty of tvs and you can usually watch any game you want to. During the fall it does turn into a Bills bar but they will show other games as well. They have a great happy hour and plenty of space. Highly recommend. We ventured over here on a Second Sunday for a late lunch. We expected it to be busy with the foot traffic and football games going on, and it was. We did find the outdoor bar was pretty open, so we snagged a couple of seats there. We opted out of drinks because we needed our second wind and didn't want to get weighted down. However, we did order lunch - my friend got a spinach salad with double chicken protein. I ordered the Palmetto Burger. There was football on, and the bartender happily obliged to change one of the games to our preferred one. There was also a football raffle happening combined with a liquor promo. It took nearly an hour to get our food which was a bit disappointing. While they were busy, this was way too long, especially when the bartender didn't acknowledge the wait time or reassure us the food was coming. when it finally arrived, it was pretty good. The burger was super messy and I needed to grab more napkins and a knife but other than that, we had what we needed. it could have used more pimento cheese because the flavor was a little lost. The value of the meal made the experience better in the end. I would certainly say it's a great place to meet up with friends or catch a game. read more

We used the upstairs space for a private event for CofC graduation. Great location and they were so easy to work with - no required minimums. Just show up and order what you want. Stopped here for lunch on a nice Friday afternoon. The back patio is a hidden gym as you can't see it from the street, but it is a nice outdoor eating area. It's a very casual vibe so we walked in and seated ourselves, but the servers were welcoming. As a vegetarian, I was initially concerned as there are no specific entrées or food directed towards vegetarians, but when I mentioned this to my server and asked if I could do a burger with all the vegetables, she was more than accommodating. I was hoping it would be OK, but it was much more than that. The vegetables were fresh and cooked. Well, the bun was tasty and I can tell the fries or fresh as well. A few people in our group went here first and then we met up with them here for beers. One of the better sports bars I've been too with TVs showing whatever you could think of. Fortunately the NBA playoffs were on and there was a good amount of NBA fans present which was a pleasant surprise. Some people in our party ordered wings which were amaze; good size, flavor, and right amount of sauce. The four of us also did shots where bartender let us do via the shot stick (hockey stick with shot slots). A fun experience and allowed us to get even more sloshed.
