    Sunset view from the rooftop

I hit this place on Saturday with my friends and boyfriend and I can't wait to come back! The drink variety is amazing and the prices make it even better. The area is very spacious and rooftop views are great! I want to try food next time I come.

Cool vibe. Great rooftop view. When we arrived, we were told about the self-serve pours and the different beer options. There is also a bar for cocktails. We were issued our wrist bands with a credit card on file to use when we got our beer. My favorite thing about self-serve pours is being able to try small amounts of various styles -- especially local varieties. The Beer Cheese Fries were AH-maz-ing! We went back again on our trip to have them again.

Great rooftop bar with amazing views. Great process for getting your own beer from the taps along the wall. Easy to taste just a sample or enjoy a full glass or two! Fries were tasty! After you check in, get a bracelet and provide a credit card, the beer is self serve. Large, air conditioned inside space with a large outdoor patio.

The idea of a self serve tap system is novel and we really enjoyed that! Also the Brussel sprouts were freaking amazing! That being said, this picture is what chicharonnes should look like. What were served was the ones sold in bags at the grocery store. Incredibly disappointing and not worth the $ at all.

This place is a gem! Awesome local taproom. Great selection of beers - IPAs, stouts, sours, they have it all. The bartenders really know their stuff, and is a Bills fan, who helped me pick out some winners. The vibe is chill and friendly. Definitely a cool spot to kick off a night on King Street!

I really wanted to like this place since it's a really cool concept. You get a card and you can try out any of their many taps of draft beer/cider. This place is in the Hyatt Place hotel. Service (2/5): There was only one guy helping all the customers, so I really felt sorry for him. I was excited to see that there was a happy hour from 5-6pm, according to their website, but when I mentioned this to him, he scowled at me and said, "there is no happy hour here, that website is really outdated..." Well, that's not my fault, and I didn't appreciate the attitude. That's bad advertising on the business' fault. Food (3/5): We got a key card and went around to check out the different beers. It's fun to get an ounce of a beer and not have to pay more than $1.5 or so - it allows you to try different beers. At the time we were visiting, about half the taps were out or not working -- they had a maintenance person coming to fix it. We ordered some truffle sweet potato fries, which were really fantastic. They were crispy and had lovely truffle oil on the top along with parmesan cheese and herbs. They really have an amazing rooftop bar with lovely views, but since it was stormy outside, we didn't get a chance to hang out here.

Nice views, and great drink options. They have good collection for beers and you can self serve whatever beer you like from the kegs, through the beer selection process here. It's pretty cool.

Ask the Community - Pour Taproom - Charleston

Is this a Kids friendly place?

No not really. Maybe a kid could go but it's just drinking and high tops and I couldn't see having my kids there if they were allowed. Not like a brewery feel type place where I'd have no problem with my kids.

The wait staff was not very welcoming, which definitely impacted the overall experience. When visiting a restaurant, especially one with such a great reputation, I expect to feel welcomed and valued as a guest. I was also disappointed by the inconsistency in the posted hours. The hours listed on the restaurant's website differed from the hours shown on Google, which can be very confusing when you're trying to plan your visit. Another concern was the payment experience. The restaurant placed two separate holds on my account--one for $1 and another for over $100. I understand that temporary authorization holds can sometimes occur, but having two separate holds was unexpected and added to an already disappointing experience. Hopefully, this was just an off experience, but based on my visit, I would hesitate to return.
