Seriously ⁉⁉⁉. Because of convenience, this has been my go-to dry cleaner and alteration drop off. I recently took 2 summer dresses to be dry cleaned. Including tax, the bill was $53.18. I know prices have gone up but this seems to be unreasonable. I'm looking for a new dry cleaner. read more

Do NOT come here. I brought in a black suit jacket, and they returned it with a huge mark on the front and simply acted like it was that way when I turned it in. I took it to another cleaners who mentioned that it was a burn mark where they obviously put an iron or something on it that wasn't meant for a suit. I got this suit for my wedding 9 years ago and only wore it to weddings before taking it straight to the cleaners, so I was suspicious when they acted like the "mark" was there to begin with. read more

I was in need of a new dry cleaner, since my primary one closed and the one I tried on Skylark was inconvenient. This one is down the road from Grand Oaks, so it's close and it has pretty good hours. The first time I went, I dropped off 8 shirts for cleaning. It was a Friday, and I was told they'd be ready after 5pm on Tuesday. On Monday, I got a text message that said my shirts were ready for pickup, a day early. On Tuesday, I picked up those shirts and dropped off 5 pair of dress pants. I was told they'd be ready the next day after 5pm, and sure enough, they were. If you pay on the day that you drop them off, you get a 10% discount. I'm ok with that. Drop off is easy. You can walk in or use the drive-thru. Same for pick up. I've met with a different person each time that I went in, and each one of them was friendly and helpful. I'll be back here in a month or two, whenever I'm due for my next round of dry cleaning. read more

I rarely write a review, but Charleston Cleaners damaged & lost some of my favorite clothes. I asked to have a brand new $100 pair of pants. I clearly indicated where I wanted the hem. They added 2 inches & cut the fabric. Pants that were too long became way too short. They washed a cashmere sweater that I purchased at Dillards. If I wanted it washed, for God's sake I would have done so. The color faded. It looked like a cheap sweater that I might have bought at Walmart.The woman at the shop said when the manufacturers care label says wash gentle cycle or dry clean they take it upon themselves to wash the garment. Who gave them the right to do that. I tjought I brought the sweater to a dry cleaners to be dry cleaned. I have found that when manufactures give that option, dry cleaning is always the way to go. They over pressed a tweed dress that I loved breaking many of the fibers. The broken threads are visible, esp. in the front. And finally they lost a new black knit dress that I looked forward to wearing this past summer. When I brought this to the woman's attention, she tried to say it was my fault because I didn't pick my clothes up in a timely manner. WHAT!!! THIS IS THE WORST DRY CLEANERS I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH & I'M A SENIOR. Don't entrust Charleston Dry Cleaners with your favorite clothes, unless you want them ruined. Each time I tried to tell the woman at the shop what my experience was, she became hostile & defensive. WHAT A DRAG!!!! read more

I called and asked about services , was told one thing , when I drove to the cleaners at 7 am as directed they told me they couldn't help me as told the night prior . So I drove across town to find out they are dishonest and don't want to work !!! Not only that but I waited TEN MINUTES for someone to come to the desk . I wouldn't come here if you needed any type of customer service , honesty or basic decency . It's a waste of time . I'd give zero stars if I could . I'll be sure to add reviews to other sites as well so many can be informed of their pathetic practices!!! read more

Convenient location, but over priced services and inconsistent quality on the press. I'd only use them in a pinch, so keep looking if you're trying to find a regular for dry cleaning and light tailoring. read more

I wanted to find out what time they opened on Saturday and saw the reviews. I was shocked! I have been dropping off dry cleaning here for over a year, once a week (have to wear a tie and slacks for work) and they have always done a great job! Friendly and competent service. They do special orders and more. The one time in a year I had an issue they handled it professionally and with graciousness. Prices are in line with the market and service is superior to anywhere else I have been. Picked up a dress that still had deodorant on it and owner, that I had to meet at 645pm on a Monday night, said I'd worn dress again between picking up Friday night and bringing back Saturday morning. They unstitched the bodice of a strapless jumpsuit to hang it over a hanger--no clips or pins used. Refused to refund full cost of jumpsuit because they did not know "how many times" I'd worn it, which was exactly once. Not the first time I've had awful service there but, definitely the last. read more

Just awful, the shirt still was dirty and a horrible job of pressing had to run home and put it in the wash, the vest and tie not only did it look like it wasn't pressed but doesn't look like the same color. I am so upset as it was brand new, i would rather risk washing it myself before I take anything back there read more

Always had a good service at this location. The dry cleaning us fast and reliable; I never had an issue here. They do offer alterations as well and so far they did a great job. Prices are not too expensive. read more

I took some slacks to these dry cleaners to have a hem repaired. when they completed the repair the repaired hem did not match the original hem stitch type. when I brought this to their attention they told me that they could send it off to have the original hem replaced for an additional $5. I told them that this sounded unfair since they did not inform me that the repaired hem would not match the original hem when I brought the pants to them for the repair. They told me that was my only option and that I had to pay for the alteration even though I was not happy with the service. I do not recommended using this company since they do not appear to be concerned with customer satisfaction. I will certainly take my business elsewhere in the future. read more
