I was charged nearly double for the same items I drop off every two weeks, while she, a Caucasian woman, was quoted less than half for identical service. When she questioned this and took a public photo of the owner and another individual, the situation escalated. The owner or manager became aggressive, snatched her phone out of her hand, and threw clothing at her. This is not poor service. This is assault. She chose not to call the police at the time, but that does not change what happened. No customer should ever face physical aggression for raising a valid concern about pricing. If you plan to operate in this community, you need to treat every customer with respect and fairness. This experience reflects a complete failure in both professionalism and basic human decency. I went with the Google reviews, which were very good, and they are obviously gaming the system. The previous 1 star review about the wedding dress is much more in line with the experience that I have had as well. A nonresponsive owner who ignores phone calls and text messages and has had a very expensive wedding dress for nearly seven months after it was supposed to be available for pick up. Below is the review I left three weeks ago on Google. Within minutes, I had a very nice response promising someone would get back to me. Nada. I truly wish I could leave a five star review like others. Unfortunately, I have not had that same experience. I dropped off a wedding dress for preservation nine months ago and was promised it by the end of January. We do not live in Charleston and were only there until the beginning of February. When I went to pick up the dress, it was not ready and I was told that Brian would call me. When I spoke to him, he assured me that since it was late, he would ship it to me. When I didn't hear anything or receive the dress, I continued to call and text. We are now six months later and I cannot get anyone to return my phone call or respond or a text. At this stage, I would truly appreciate somebody responding to any of the many text messages or phone calls I have left.

I later received a text that my items were ready early. When I arrived, I was told my dress had been "reclassified" as a wedding dress and the cost was now $200 -- without any prior communication or approval. I made it very clear that I would not have agreed to that price. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, staff argued with me for 20 minutes about whether the dress qualified as a wedding dress, completely missing the point that no one contacted me before proceeding. To make matters worse, when I got home, I discovered a large stain in the front center of the dress that was not there before. They offered only a $50 discount, which does not come close to addressing the issue -- especially considering the cleaning cost exceeded the value of the dress itself. This was a complete failure in communication, customer service, and quality of work. I would strongly caution anyone considering using this business.
