I had a dental emergency hours before I needed to take a flight. Dr. Mcabe squeezed me into his already busy schedule and was able to start the root canal process and suppress the nerve until I was able to come back and have the complete root canal. He was so gentle, spoke very clearly in explaining what he was able to do and any limitations may linger afterwards (none of which happened). He saved the day and I not only made my flight on time but remained good and numb for the better half of the flight. I was able to enjoy food and have a successful meeting because I didnt have to worry about any pain. My next scheduled appointment was going to fall after another flight I have in a few days and when someone canceled the wonderful, kind receptionist called me right away to offer me the appointment. I was able to have my root canal finished today with minimal pain (didnt even hurt getting the numbing shots...well only one pinched and thats the roof of your mouth. It only lasted seconds). Everyone is very personable with great attention to detail. They remembered I got engaged and asked how was my trip. I had only met them all one time prior so to remember me made me feel super welcomed especially since I'm terrified of all dentist. Fear went out the window almost immediately. They even gave me a blanket when I got chilly. I was so relaxed with the dark glasses they provided that I actually dozed off and woke myself up when I heard myself snore a little. He was already done by that time and was taking the final x-rays! I would recommend anyone and everyone to this office. Its clean, Covid-19 compliant, and a great experience. So I have MAJOR dental anxiety. We are talking white knuckle, breathing exercise kind of stuff. Even taking my kids to the dentist office gives me sweaty palms. I highly recommend Charleston Endodontics. The staff is very friendly and caring. Haley was the dental assistant for Dr. Morris. I mentioned that I wasn't looking forward to the numbing shot because it was a front tooth and I knew it was going to hurt. When Dr. Morris was numbing me, Haley was sitting right there patting my arm and my hands telling me to breathe and offering words of comfort. I really appreciated her doing that. Dr. Morris was very good. He was done in less time than he thought he would be. I had no pain during the procedure and no pain after the anesthesia wore off. I also liked that I was notified of my portion of the bill prior to coming in. I was able to arrange other bills around this payment. This visit was approximately a year since my first visit and it was to get the same procedure, a root canal. My first experience was nothing less than wonderful and I left highly impressed. I'm glad to say that the second visit has impressed me even more than the first because the staff has remained so kind, attentive, quick, and helpful. I went for an emergency evaluation and turns out I needed root canal. I didn't want to wait so I asked if they could do it since I was there. There happened to be a cancelation and Dr Morris did the root canal at that time. Dr Morris and Kim were wonderful and companionate (I was nervous). Turns out I didn't need to be nervous at all. Fortunately through family I was able to see primary dentist who referred to Dr. Strange at Charleston Endodontics. They were able to get me in the following day for an exam and with a bit of good fortune she was able to redo the old root canal and save my crown.
