Instead of serving the chicken and fried rice side by side like virtually every other Chinese restaurant, the saucy breaded chicken was completely buried and scrambled directly into the steaming hot fried rice. Because it was submerged in hot rice, the chicken absorbed all the heat and moisture during my transit (which was not long at all), turning the breading horribly soft, mushy, and covered in stuck-on rice grains. Even worse, the rice sucked up all the sauce, leaving the chicken incredibly dry and stripped of flavor. It was basically sauceless chicken bites. Wasting $15 on a ruined meal from a new spot is frustrating. Maybe dining in is better, but given that takeout is a primary standard for Chinese food, this was an unacceptable failure. Save your money and go elsewhere.

That means there are little speakers next to each parking stall from which you order (the menu is near the speaker) and they will bring the food to your car. They used to bring the food to you on a tray, but now it is bagged up for you to either enjoy in your car or to take home. Other options are to sit at one of about half a dozen picnic tables, or there is seating inside the restaurant. Frankly, Wagners was getting a bit run-down, but they have spruced up the place in the last couple of year, with a well-deserved paint job, new speakers, and new picnic tables. They even have hand held credit card readers, which saves the waitstaff from making extra trips to process your card. The menu has all of the classics you would want, from a variety of tasty, juicy hamburgers, hot and cold sandwiches, meals that include fries, coleslaw, and toast. Their French fries are crinkle cut and excellent: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The onion rings are good and you can have Chile in a bowl or on your hamburger or hotdog. There are milkshakes, desserts, kids' meals and smoothies. I've eaten here for years and the food is always reliably great, the service is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Take your kids here, take your grandkids here, go here for a date, or just go yourself. It's a fun and tasty time!

It all looked amazing. The person who helped me was very nice and walked me through what they enjoyed, which was a roast beef sandwich with swiss and au jus. There was a lot of food too. I ended up taking some back to my hotel and eating it later. It was hard not going back to this restaurant during my stay, but I wanted to try different places. It took about fifteen minutes for my food to arrive at the table and bulgogi fries came out first on a separate plate. This sampler is a good representation of several of their menu items.
