Just a few of the deliciously sweet items available to choose from.

Ohhhh my! It was hard to choose a dessert at this spot. Everything looked so good. I went with the chocolate cannoli and a carrot cupcake. Yummmm!

This place looks amazing the moment you walk in. It is connect to another place, but oh boy it is amazing. The gelato was so yummy. I got the strawberry and vanilla gelato. It was so soft and tasty. Also, I got the mini new york cheesecake and chocolate cheesecake, two cream puff, one chocolate and vanilla. Now the vanilla cream puff was still crispy and the stuffing inside taste so good. Usually other places the stuffing is too sweet, however here it was not too sweet nor too plain. The cream inside was just perfect, same goes with the chocolate. Both cheesecake was amazing, it is however super sweet. I don't usually have a strong sweet tooth, but definitely would get the mini cheesecake again and the puff. I would recommend this place if you want a nice cake as well.

Desserts were amazing. We loved the variety of items they have. We tried the gelatos and loved them. We will keep coming back for this place. The desserts were fresh and delicious. Service was quick and fast even woth huge lines.

I went to Italy for a week and even with all the great food I tried, I was still excited to come home and have Cossetta's gelato. Can't beat it!

Was excited to try this because I had a really good Cannoli at Mike's Pastry in Boston and needed to find one in the Twin Cities. I found it at Pasticceria :) But it was mehh, ok but not outstanding. Would love for the filling to have more ricotta and not taste like chocolate, my friend got a tiramisu and fruit tart and they were average as well. There were a huge selection of cakes, pastries and ice cream, a true feast to the eyes (and stomach) The place was super crowded on the weekend so if you want to avoid waiting, go on weekdays!

From front to back: lobster tail, eclair and chocolate creampuff 1. Location: 9/10 It is in a good location with parking. The parking lot can get very full during peak hours though. The bakery is right next to the Italian market and restaurant, which rounds out the Italian foodie experience! 2. Taste: 9.5/10 All of these pastries are packed with creamy and not-too-sweet flavors. The lobster tail for example was crunchy on the outside and creamy and smooth on the inside. It was not overly sweet so you can enjoy it until the end without saturating your taste buds! 3. Price: 8/10 I would say these are fairly priced, although they are for sure not too cheap. I can't remember exactly, but cream puffs are $2.50, eclairs are about $3.99 and the lobster tails are about $5.50. Overall: 9/10 Highly recommend this place for desserts due to a large variety of options. Their tiramisus are also to die for. They also have a mini tiramisu cake for events and celebrations, or if you just feel like having cake

Cute little dessert cafe area! We liked their desserts and would return for the desserts. Particularly the mango mousse!

    Yum!

This place is fantastico! Delicioso (wait is that Spanish, not Italian?)! In whatever language this spot has amazing desserts. Whenever I am anywhere near here I have to stop and buy one of each flavor of their macarons. Diet be damned! I must have them ALL! The pistachio macaron is my absolute favorite! I am like cookie monster with his ! Omnomnomnomnom! Honestly all of their other desserts look fabulous, but sadly I have never had the calories or room left in my stomach to try them yet. But I will with Betty Crocker as my witness I will! I have had the pleasure of tasting the gelato. It's super good and rich and goes straight to your hips, but sooo worth it! If you are anywhere near the vicinity you must stop and buy all the macarons sandwich cookies that are crunchy on the outside and smooth and creamy in the middle! The parking lot is free just run in and do it! You must! Tell them Michele from the Western burbs sent you! ( I'm trying to get free cookies people! Help me out! Those circles of gooey goodness aren't cheap! So mention my name and that they should support my habit occasionally! -Thanks!)

Ugh. Every item here is so beautiful and delicious. You can't go wrong! Their macarons were perfect. We also tried their cheesecake and their mini opera cake - they were superb

Contrary, coming into the intimate home shop in Saint Paul hit different. As a Saint Paul girly, I absolutely adore small businesses. Marc Heu has a great location across from the co-op on Dale. Due to the pastry lineup altering so frequently, there are no signs detailing the pastry product so there is definitely interaction with staff members to ensure you are getting what you want. The staff is attentive, dressed in uniform and ready to take orders with a note pad upon arrival. Fortunately both days I have went, there were no lines but I also understand lines are common here which is something to be aware of. Inside there are small circular tables to enjoy your pastry and or coffee in. I would not recommend bringing a laptop as this is a tiny shop with an emphasis on eating, mingling and departing. Other reviews will dink stars because they will say the pricing is high however, I think, the pricing is reasonable giving the high quality of baking effort and the quality of service provided. In addition, this is not a spot to come 24/7, rather, special moments such as a birthday, holiday or celebration. With that, I feel like the price is justified. Line or not - the pasty variety is outstanding! My husband and I had a donut with a spiced icing and some other filling and every bite we kept saying yum or oh my gosh this is so good. Inspired from France, you will 100% feel transported as the shop itself resembles France from the interior and obviously the baking follows suit. The display case is the center of attention when you walk in. I highly recommend stopping when in Saint Paul or purchasing at a coffee shop should you happen to see the line of Marc Heu. There are a few other stores in the area, otherwise, Grand Avenue is right up the road should you want to make a day of supporting local. Saint Paul is so lucky to have a slice of France in our city. Thank you!

It seems that they are rightly known for their sweet baked goods, hence the name, but they have some savory offerings as well. I had heard good things about their congee so I made a point to try that. It was good! Filling, plenty of meat. I also have had a unique, savory roll that was buttery and great, I forgot what it's called but it's good. And I had a Lychee Rose brioche donut. Decadent! Delicious. Loved it. I got a Vietnamese coffee one time that was great, and a matcha milk with ube foam that was also great. So, yeah, really everything I've had has been great! The opening hours are painfully limited. They are only open from 9am to 1pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And both times I came it was close to noon and they were sold out of LOTS of things. I'm convinced that if you go there because you want something specific, you simply can't trust them to have it available. Instead of planning a specific visit, the wiser approach would be to give them a look if you're in the area during one of the 12 hours they are open in a given week, and see if you're interested in what they aren't sold out of. They have an indoor counter which you get to via the main entrance on 4th street, and guessing your way through the halls until you find them past that gallery. There is also a seating section which has the ambience of a break room at a DMV. But there is also an outdoor window on Saturday & Sunday, with some seats set up in the alley; that description sounds dicey but it's perfectly fine. My hope is that they improve on some of this to make for a more predictably positive experience!

This isn't explicitly stated anywhere though so I can see how it can get you turned around like the other reviews state. Staff at the counter was super friendly and very open to suggestions though so that's a plus. We brought my niece here for a "birthday brunch" on here 21st and overall had a great time. The inside of the shop isn't anything to write home about but it's cute and great for the atmosphere we were looking for. More of a chill vibe where you can hang out and talk, think cute coffee shop meets diner type vibe. The food was good, not amazing, but still pretty decent. A little bit speedy for what you get. in my opinion but overall pretty good. I got the biscuits and gravey which maybe had a little too much greens added on top. It messed with the texture of the rest of the dish but the flavor was there and overall I enjoyed it. All in all a solid breakfast spot. A little bit spendy, but feels pretty in line with a more traditional sit down restaurant pricing these days.
