We drove all the way to Colorado Springs specifically to experience the Stranger Things pop-up…read moredinner at the Wobbly Ollie, and I can honestly say--it did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in, the immersion is incredible. The outside is set up as Castle Byers, and then you walk through a short hallway designed to look like the middle school dance floor from Season 2. Right away, you know they put real thought into the details. Once you enter the main seating area, it gets even better. They had Chrissy on the ceiling from Season 4 (yes, that scene), the couch from the Byers' house, and the iconic alphabet wall with the Christmas lights. Our table even had a Pac-Man game built in that we could play while we waited--such a cool touch. The themed menu was great, with a whole lineup of Stranger Things-inspired drinks. I ordered the waffle sliders, which are tiny waffles with a burger inside, served with fries. They were absolutely delicious--perfectly sweet and savory at the same time. My son ordered the large TV-tray-style plate inspired by the show, complete with turkey and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, and more. Everything on his plate was genuinely delicious and comforting. Even though the Stranger Things pop-up is no longer available (they rotate themes--SpongeBob is currently up), I'm so glad we made the drive. The experience was fun, immersive, the food was solid, and we got a ton of great pictures. I would absolutely do it all over again and can't wait to see what theme they roll out next. If you enjoy themed dining experiences, the Wobbly Ollie is 100% worth the trip.

I wish I'd taken a picture of my meal, but I didn't think about it until I was halfway through - trust me, it was good. Where I went wrong was in the cocktail I ordered, and I blame that on not liking martinis and being in a martini bar. I didn't know what I was ordering - I just knew I didn't want a martini, or beer, and I wanted something different than wine. Being in a bar known for its speak easy and in the vibe of the prohibition-themed menu items, I figured why not try a Pimm's Cup. I still don't know what Pimm's No. 1 liqueur is, but I can tell you I DID NOT like the first sip. (I'm a mule fan!) After that, though, it was OK. My only real complaint is that they sat my husband and I against the wall and a two-top, except my seat backed up against the bar and was squished between the wall, the bar, and the barstool right next to my seat, eye level. It was a too tight fit.

This restaurant is an airplane lovers dream. Airplanes…read moreeverything, we were so lucky to have walked in during their down time and were offered to sit in the airplane to dine. You read that right. The airplane you see on the outside is an actual dining area, it has tables for parties of 2 or 4 but we squeezed our party of 7 in two tables. The whole experience was awesome especially for the little ones. With all that being said. The food isn't as grand as the ambiance. It's ok if that. But don't let that discourage you from visiting

We decided to walk around for about 15 minutes and noticed the waiting area wasn't moving at all, despite the restaurant appearing to have roughly 50% of its tables sitting empty. When we asked the host about it, we were told they were dealing with a kitchen wait and intentionally spacing out seating. While I understand not wanting to overwhelm the kitchen, it was still disappointing to see so many empty tables while the quoted wait time never changed. To make matters worse, I tried twice to order a drink from the bar and was completely ignored by the bartender. The hostess was also quite rude when we politely asked why the wait wasn't moving. It's such a unique and fun concept with the airplane dining experience and ambiance, which makes it even more disappointing that the overall management and customer service seem to have declined. We ended up leaving and went to a nearby diner instead, where we had an excellent meal and a much better experience.

Coffees were great! Hubby also ordered one of their lemon tarts....absolutely delicious! We're coming back in the spring after our returns from deployment and we will definitely come back here!

They also are closed on Sundays, so they do this offer the Saturday before. Their French toast is some the best I've ever had, so fluffy and comes with whipped creme, strawberries, and thier Carmel syrup, which, if you haven't tried, is beyond amazing. I ordered the ham, egg and cheese croissant, and it was devine. The croissant was fluffy, flaky, and sweet it paired so well with the savory of the ham and cheese. The razzelberry smoothie was just the right amount of sweet and tart. It was so hard to pick what to eat because everything sounded and looked good. They were very busy, obviously due to the great deal, and they did forget a few things we ordered and messed up some orders, but they were quick to resolve them. The food also came out quicker than expected. The staff here were so nice and answered all questions.

My first visit was to the one in Castle Rock over a year ago and that was a good experience as well. This time, I called my order in ahead of time. The woman I spoke with was very kind, polite and professional. She answered all my questions, gave me a few different options and was very helpful. When I arrived to get my order, they were just finishing mine up but I was happy to see that the shift was not just being covered by teenagers. Not that there is anything wrong with younger workers but it's always good to have someone with a little more work experience on shift with you just in case there is a complaint or something, you don't have to try to address that with only a few months of experience under your belt when a little back up could come in handy. Anyway, when my order was done, they double and then triple checked to make sure everything was there. The whole time I waited, the staff addressed me by my name, was very friendly, had smiles on their faces and were just genuinely being nice. You could tell it was not an act. It was a nice change of pace from the other two sandwich shops in town where you go in and are either rushed through, no friendliness, no smiles, etc. Also, all of our sandwiches had customizations to them and they were all made correctly. And no one gave me an attitude when I asked for the additions or subtractions. The other shop never gets the orders right, never adds anything or takes anything away that you request. And anytime you call to make a complaint, they only say "well, we were busy...". This was DEFINITELY a nice change of pace not to mention the sandwiches tasted wonderful! This is going to be our go to stop from now on, THANK YOU!!!

When they are not busy, their customer service is excellent. When they are super busy, their customer service is adequate. The ambience here is definitely old-school café where you can sit next to strangers at a big long tables and in the old days where farmers would come to chat with each other after working all morning. Their French toast sandwich is delicious. Their omelettes, also delicious. Bacon. Yum. Pancakes also yum. Cinnamon Rolls, OMG. The one thing consistently that I do not care for here are their hashbrowns. To the point that I try to order things that don't include them. The menu says they are golden and crispy. They are not. I have asked specifically for them to be golden and crispy. They, still, are not. I don't complain after they are brought incorrectly cooked. I don't send them back. I just don't eat them. But I have never once been here where I've been served hashbrowns that made my tummy smile in delight. They are flavorless and mushy. Slightly more solid than the consistency of mashed potatoes. The coffee is weak. Typical of many breakfast places, though.
