The large pizzas are enormous! I mean really enormous. I've never seen a pizza box this big. This pizza is way better than I expected from a place kind of in the middle of nowhere in Derry, New Hampshire. We got a margarita pizza and a chicken pesto Pizza. Both had fresh mozzarella. They were not greasy. They were not drippy. The crust was perfect. After we brought it home we popped it in a high oven for a few minutes. We couldn't put the whole pie in the oven because it wouldn't fit! In the oven, the crust crisp right up to perfection. We drove past half a dozen pizza places on our way to pick the pizza up from here, but it was totally worth it. read more

Ran into the owner of Charlie Macs at Market Basket when he was shopping for FRESH ingredients a few weeks ago. I introduced myself to him because I saw him wearing a pizza shop hoodie that I wanted to buy when I stopped into CM's a couple months ago. One of our favorite spots for delivery. The pizza is always perfect, delivered fast, and hot. If I had one request it would be that they add a fryer and start offering fries and a few more of the somewhat traditional pizza shop sides. We order from here often, but there are times when people in my household want fries with their pizza and we have to pick another place. Not a big deal, they still get plenty of our business. My family got delivery last night for the first time since my previous review. And boy I have to say that this time was AWESOME! The Americana pizza was cooked perfectly and LOADED with roni. My husband loved it. I got the Italiano calzone which had sausage, peppers, carmelized onions, and ricotta, that was also cooked well and super tasty. I visited Derry for the rail trail and rockingham brewery. I realized that I was going to be hungry but had my 2 dogs with me. After calling a ton of places that said they were either not dog friendly or would take 45 minutes-hour I settled on pizza. I got a calzone from Charlie macs and it's the BEST calzone I've ever had. This has become our go-to place for pizza in the area. The pizza is fantastic. The crust is great, the sauce has a nice flavor (not too sweet). The Americana is awesome. Just be warned the family size is huge. Also, the wings are the best around. Nice and big, juicy and covered in sauce. I found this place by accident the other day when I was dropping my dog off at the groomer next door. I got the most amazing salad with Romaine and spring mix with European cucumbers and the most amazing ripe cherry tomatoes. I asked if their salads came with pita bread and I was told they make their own. While I was there they were taking it out of the oven. It is chewy and crusty and just amazing! The service was excellent, as they were very efficient and very friendly. The only thing I have eaten there is a salad and pita bread, so I can't speak to the rest of the menu. Fantastic cooking at a family owned shop! Great variety of specialty pizzas and salads made fresh to order. The chicken bacon ranch is incredible here. I went to Charlie Mac's Pizzeria for the first time yesterday. I asked them to pre bake my Pizza so that I could finish baking at home. They were very accommodating and when I tasted this pizza for the first time, it was the best Pizza EVER! They don't use grated cheese on top, they use sliced mozzarella. Just found the best pizza place in all of Derry, New Hampshire! The pizza dough has a nice taste unlike others that are like cardboard. Jeff uses fresh mozzarella cheese which is not typically seen, as well as, fresh spices and other ingredients that can't be beat. The homemade pizza sauce and even the marinara sauce is different than others and is absolutely wonderful. You don't get the heartburn or acidic after-effects. Their bread is homemade and delicious... not like your typical restaurant bread that you get with a salad or side. The atmosphere is very pleasant and extremely clean. Prices are very reasonable for the flavor that you're going to experience! This is how Pizza should be made. If you are used to the others you need to come here and try theirs. Found Charlie Mac's online when searching for a new wing spot to try. I've tried everywhere in the surrounding area and have had some OK success but I figured I'd give this place a go. I ordered 3 orders of wings (buffalo, bbq, and teriyaki) and a Caesar salad. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. Very clean and bright inside and it looked like a nice place to grab a pizza and dine-in. Cute lady behind the counter asks if this is my first time visiting and I said yes, to which she replied that I will love it. She wasn't wrong. The wings were great; well-cooked, decently-sized and the sauces were tasty. The salad was super fresh and crisp and the caesar dressing had a nice bite to it. The salad was served with fresh bread that was also really good. I'm not sure I feel right giving a 5 star review of a pizza place without having tried the pizza, but it would just feel wrong to give anything less than 5 stars based on my first experience. I will definitely be giving the pizza a try soon. read more

Now here's a hidden jewel and a good eat. They use the freshest and very high quality ingredients. Everything they have is excellent. Their pizza is to die for. My favorite is the Joey, it's amazing. They have the family size pizza which is 20". If you are a bread lover you have to try their bread. It's to die for. You get it hot, open it put some butter in it or while it's hot, dip it in yogurt and eat. Oh man, Oh man. The only drawback is that they just started to deliver, they do not deliver late at night. What can I say about this restaurant nothing good this is the second time I have gone and the second time I have been disappointed. The first time I went I ordered a large buffalo chicken I was working and on lunch. I couldn't go back to get what I ordered and they wouldn't bring me the right food so I was left eating buffalo sauce blue cheese and bread. This is a place I really want to like but in the end probably gonna skip going forward. Not sure I understand all the 5 star reviews of this place either . In my experience maybe one 4 star at best. Ordered one week, sm cheese came out good, light sauce well done. Agree with others the sauce is very sweet. Not sure if it is out of a can or not. Asked for a side caesar salad but add cukes and tomatoes. Sorry we can't add cukes. Really why not you have other salads with it. Oh thanks for the 4 tiny tomatoes by the way. Salad was ok. This tells me all the salads probably come in pre-made. Next order we try the queen margarita well done, more like the court jester. First of all who puts so much red sauce on a margarita pizza? Fine I guess, but there was so much all you could taste was overly sweet sauce, had a limp crust and zero margarita flavor. That turned out to be a complete waste of money and at $19 a pizza you really need to step it up. Oh thanks btw for the side dollop of red sauce you charged me .75 for.
