I came here 2 weeks ago and I will never come here again. At first, one of the employees followed me to the back while I was looking for a specific beer and asked if I needed any help. While I thought he was just being helpful, I realized soon after that he was just following me every step I took. Every row that I walked to, he followed right behind. It became incredibly obvious and uncomfortable so I just got a random beer and proceeded to check out. Then as I'm checking out, same guy is now right at the corner continuously glaring at me while the guy working the cashier is giving me the death stare as if he's scanning every facial features of mine. I handed him my license and he looked back and forth between my picture and me in an accusatory manner. Then proceeds to say "hm... is this you. Doesn't look like you". I was fed up at this point and made sure to make him feel as uncomfortable as they have made me and let him know my skinnier 10 year younger self in the picture does look extremely different than at my old ripe age now. Truly, they are either incredibly racist or profiled me for absolutely no reason. read more

I've been here a few times only because they have a cool drive thru. It's located off of Canton Road near Jamerson and the railroad tracks. There is Right Stuff Food Store and gas station next door. If you go south across the railroad tracks there is a Citgo with Thai Taste (Thai and sushi restaurant) Next door is The Patty Wagon (hamburger) and a few doors down Cremefina Ice Cream Parlour. I was told by an elderly friend that years ago Cherokee county was a dry county so if you wanted to buy beer you had to drive out to Cobb County so that is why Charlie's is located right on the border of Cherokee county. (I was told that Cobb County for years only had beer and wine. If you wanted liquor then you had to go on down to Fulton County. Apparently there are also liquor stores located in Fulton County that are stone throw away from Cobb County for that reason.... This store had some of the nicest and fun staff. I enjoy coming here and I definitely get a kick out of the drive thru window. read more

Horrible customer service. Tired nurse getting off of a long shift and stopped by for drink ingredients. Stupid bag handle broke and dropped the entire bottle (Tito's) and the guy wanted to treat me like I did something wrong and say since I left it was not his problem. Who does that? There are several stores nearby so definitely won't ever stop at that one again. Sad too because it was convenient but not another dime for them. read more

Will never shop here again. I live down the street from this store, bought here all of the time and was looking for a bottle of Stagg Jr which they had in stock. They made me wait around for 19 minutes and then told me I had to buy a store pick to get it. I already have their store picks having been a loyal customer. I told them that and they just looked at me like I had two heads. Terrible customer service. read more

Beware!!! Prices are marked one way at the shelf, but much higher at checkout. Saw the cashier steal $20 from a customer. Cashier dropped it behind the counter and pulled a $1 bill out instead. The customer tried to argue to get his $20 back, but was told he never gave him a $20 and was thrown out. Stay Away! read more

Craft beer heaven can be found right here. Don't judge the place by its looks. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Dean especially has steered me toward awesome craft beer adventures. There is a drive-thru but I've not used it. I enjoy going inside and gazing at all the beer bottles. They take it seriously. Highly recommended. read more

Not bad at all. Went out here (all the way out here) yesterday after stopping by my brother's house in Marietta, mainly because I was headed North for another errand and because I have talked with them on Twitter. Figured what better way to check them out then to go in and shop. Easy to find, just through a red light with a big parking lot. Signage is well lit and easy to see from a distance. Inside, the beer is right in front of you if you come in the far right side (there's three doors), and they do their beer in majority of make you own sixpacks. Very cool for those looking for a type or style of beer but not ready to commit to a full six beers and the variety is well dispersed over the range. Discounts are offered too (not sure the rates but I got one) so mixing and matching isn't a big hit to the wallet. Their bomber and 750 bottle selection is limited, almost makes me feel like I'm in Alabama with everything being in 12oz sizes, but what they have is again well varied so anyone with a unique palate will find something. They also offer a drive thru service which is good for those who know what they want. The wine/liquor sections looked well stocked but I honestly didn't browse them much, I was there for the beer and left with a six pack and a bomber, one that wasn't out yet in Atlanta. Friendly service rounds out the experience, just wish they were closer. read more

Good liquor store. I got the wrong muscadine wine for my wife so I had to take it back. The cashier let me exchange it even though it was more expensive. Te times I've been here the staff has been friendly. You also don't find some of the scum bag characters you might find at other liquor stores. read more

Don't go here! This place used to be a great place to buy beer from friendly, knowledgeable people. It hasn't been like that in a while... the first really bad experience I had was using their drive through this past summer. There was a new guy (maybe a new owner, or possibly the owner's loser brother) at the window. I asked him to double check the price on the beer, because I thought it was a dollar less when I bought it 2 weeks prior. He was gone a long time, came back and said it was the higher price. OK, fine, I could have been mistaken. Not a big deal. So I handed over my money and he stood at the window glaring at me and holding the beer... like I didn't deserve the beer, because I dared to question him. Whatever. I was eventually permitted to buy the beer. Yay. A few weeks later, I used the other drive through... same guy. D'oh! As soon as I placed my order, he said that after July 4th, they'd be charging an extra dollar for the drive through. I said that was a bummer, but there were other drive-throughs nearby... or I could just come inside. He then glared at me and said he was just testing my loyalty. What? No smile on his face. OK, fine, maybe his smile muscles are broken. But the last straw was my last visit sometime in August. I had been hiking with my dog, and we used to be welcome there. So, I walked in with her and all of a sudden, I heard yelling. "GET OUT! GET THAT DOG OUT! NO DOGS ALLOWED! GET OUT!" At first, I thought maybe it was his obtuse sense of humor, but no... he charged us with his fists out. WTF?!?! We left in a hurry, but he literally chased us out, still screaming. He then pointed to a sign on the door that was so tiny, I couldn't read it from the other side of the sidewalk. Then he grabbed the young guy who was working there and screamed at him while pointing at me and my dog (we were already in the car, trying to back out.) Not sure where this dude is from, but I think we'd all be happier if he went back there, and Charlie's hired good people again. There are many, many better places to buy beer (or wine or liquor) in this area. read more
