    Great Seating Options

Always up for a new date night adventure, we decided to check out the Deep Roots. What a great choice! The atmosphere and vibe is definitely a wow experience when you walk through the doors. Whether you want to have a more private setting in their living room areas, or belly up to the bar, there's something for everyone. Very smart choices in their layout and design. We decided to visit their wine wall, amazing by the way that you can have some many tasting options, it's like your own little Napa adventure in Woodstock. After tasting several great wines, we narrowed down our favorite and purchased a bottle that they'll uncork for you. Deciding to cancel our dinner plans and hangout for the evening at DR, we picked several items on their small bite menu, and like the wines, didn't disappoint. Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't say how great the staff is. They couldn't be more warm and welcoming. If you need help with wine selections, ask for Eddie. He was extremely knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back again soon!

Food was delicious but service could have been a little bit better. Saturday was not that busy to not get your beverages.

Very loud hard to have a conversation, you have to stand in line to order your own drinks and food, over priced, grocery style food

Great concept I'm sure they will do phenomenal in that space. The price points are just insane $17 for 6oz of wine.

Vingenzo's serves authentic Italian food made from imported Italian ingredients, just like you get in Italy, not "American Italian". Yes, the portions are also European-sized, which is not a bad thing! They are never lacking in flavor or freshness! Chef Michael always stops by our table for a friendly visit. Our…read morefirst time here was 3 years ago but we didn't stay because we were not treated very well by the hostess and we didn't have a reservation so we left. Let's just say we didn't feel welcomed. Fast forward 3 years and this time I made a reservation which we were promptly asked if we had one at 6:15 on a Friday night in an empty restaurant. The restaurant is very nice inside with an open kitchen and the smells were enticing. It smelled amazing in there and the wood fire oven was blazing! 1st impressions were good so far. The staff were very, in a word, stiff. None of them seemed brave enough to look like they were having fun working there. No warmth although the lady who took our order was pretty nice but again, not warm and not inviting. Very regimented. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a recommendation out of her. I almost felt like I was offending her by asking because evidently "everything was good" but the dishes are all different sooooo. Not helpful but evidently in a hurry. Hello! First timers!? We started with the Caesar salad. It was light and delicious. There were 2 small pieces of white anchovy which I really loved! I wanted more anchovies. Next we got what we THOUGHT was focaccia bread. This was absolutely NOT focaccia unless there was a hidden meaning in the description that we missed. This was wood fired pizza dough with some oil and a hint of garlic and some parm. I didn't intend to order plain pizza dough but again I must have misread the menu. Clearly said focaccia. My entree was Porchetta. It was a beautiful plate with really nicely roasted potatoes and veggies. The sides were excellent! The Porchetta was so incredibly greasy and had zero crisp to the skin. I love pork belly but there was wayyyy too much collagen going on. It was just slimy. I really tried to find a good bite but the fat coated my teeth and stayed there til I left. Incredibly disappointed. The flavor was nice but I couldn't get past the collagen. Then there was my wife's dish, the Amatriciana pasta. The pasta was waaayyy undercooked and swimming in oil. There was a pool of olive oil at the bottom of that bowl. I told my wife to dip her plain pizza dough in there. The sauce was supposed to have a little spice from the menu description but all we tasted was olive oil and literally no other flavor. My wife ate none of it and was so disappointed. There were many awards in the restaurant and maybe we just don't know if this is what authentic Italian food is supposed to taste like, but this place wasn't for us. We eat out a lot. We never complain IN restaurants when they have one shot to wow us. To the reader, don't hesitate to give this place a shot. It's popular and has been around this long for a reason. Maybe it was just an off night.

Unfortunately, the service brought your score down. We had a reservation for dinner and the young lady who initially met us, did not even ask us this. She greeted us with, "we have an event going on, so seating is tight." OK - Well I have reservation. That seemed to help her find us a table. When she sat us, she handed us one menu for my wife and I. No wine list, (at a wine market) and no introduction. After 5-6 minutes, our server came out and said hello, but did not bring water or the wine list still. But, she did inform us again about the event going on. WE know restaurants are busy on weekends and even more so in the holiday season, but the constant reminders of "The event" does two things, one the servers are creating an excuse to say, you are going to receive slow service, and two, it felt like, how dare we show up during an event night. Finally on our servers 2nd visit, we were able to receive a second menu and the wine list. We ordered the 6 piece charcuterie and two glasses of wine. The server who made the charcuterie board, was very pleasant and proud of her creation, and rightfully so, the board was beautiful and delicious. We enjoyed our wine choice and decided to buy a bottle, our server, had zero wine experience. She did not present the bottle to me, (I have the wrong bottles brought out on a few occasions, and this is just a common courtesy) she uncorked the bottle, did not present the cork, she poured from the bottle into glasses that already had wine, granted we ordered the same wine, but at a wine market with a big event, maybe two new glasses should have been brought out, just in case. Then after she poured our glasses, she DROPPED the cork on the floor, picks it up and sticks in our bottle. Do your servers do that with silverware? Then she began to walk away with our bottle, I asked her to please leave the bottle on the table. She was seemed like that was an odd request. Overall, if we could give half stars, I would say 3.5 for the review, it was saved by your charcuterie server, as well as the taste and quality of the meats and cheeses, as well as the wonderful selection of wines. We will be back and hopefully, you take these comments constructively, and have your servers trained up a little more to be assets to your establishment.
