Apparently this farmers market is going plastic free soon! All defenders seem to have their own price margins and one vendor was selling each bundle of herbs for a dollar. Sadly, she was all out of basil, but had a bunch of mint, lemon leaves, and tarragon or some other parsley type leaf that I've smelled before, but never have tried to cook with. Most thunders had prices by the pound, some vendors had pre-bagged vegetables for five dollars. I've been to the San Jose farmers market and they have basically the same vendors, but their bags are three dollars a bag instead of five. A handful of the vendors here did state they were California certified Organic or USDA Organic, but it didn't seem like they washed their fruit off after they picked it. Lol just interesting to me on the presentation since their root vegetables had mud on them. I'm sure they taste good but presentation means a lot to me. Hee Nevertheless, I bought a handful of different vegetables and this delicious onion bread from a local Italian gentleman who actually makes pesto without nuts so that he's not free bakery and he can cater to those people with nut allergies!! It's a local vendor, so please check them out! I wouldn't mind checking out this farmers market again, but I'll probably go just before closing since I know they give better discounts then 10 o'clock on a Sunday morning. Hee

There were so many local vendors from all across the South Bay, Monterey, and Salinas areas selling fresh fruits and vegetables of all varieties. So many spots had free samples of their fruits which was my favorite part. As one person kept shouting, "you get more samples here than Costco!" and they weren't kidding. After all the organic goods, there was a great selection of bakeries and food trucks also selling different items from Chinese dumplings to Mediterranean spreads. I was happy to see so many vegan friendly options too from my walk throughout the market. We were even gifted with live music from a guitarist. Even during its peak times, there wasn't a huge crowd that prevented you from moving back and forth between the shops. I thoroughly enjoyed the vibes and look forward to stopping by again.

Vendors are all pretty much the same (and it's hilarious some of the faces are familiar and seen at estate sale hunts) 3. Love how they attempt a theme and have added old school cars to the mix! 4. The vendors are not the nicest... they don't budge and are not willing to negotiate (I mean that's the fun of flea markets!) 5. Kind of pricey. Pretty much all antique and used items. A couple of vendors sell new but very "made in China" items 6. Products are often repeated aka the same 7. It's not huge... you could probably walk the entire thing in less than 30 minutes Would I come back? For summer break we decided to start the day here and find lunch close by. It was much larger and busier than it was in Winter. The great thing is free parking and free admission, the walk from parking to the fleamarket is very close. If you want to sell here the pricing per spot is low and you can pull in easily with your car. I believe each spot is $20 and this fleamarket happens the 2nd Saturday of every month. They do a good job of attracting vendors with that sell newer items in bulk, more classic garage style bring your old junk, plants, antiques, and some food trucks. The coolest thing we did was probably the train ride that goes through the fleamarket and car show. The car show area did smell like something peope like to smoke though :) It does get hot later in the day in Summer so best to come early. We ended up leaving with some nice snacks and old books for the kids.
